Overall: fantastic. Their beer, across the board, is vibrant and unique in a way thats not trying too hard to stand out, which to me seems to be a common theme in the craft beer movement; being weird for the sake of being with no regard to the taste buds. Just the right amount of weird. They clearly put thought into the recipes. Every flavor that Ive had, whether or not I care for the taste has a very distinct flavor profile and a unique type of dance and spread on the palate. Prices are excellent. At the time of writing this review, its about $5 a pint, give or take. Some of the beers are 12+% ABV, so if youre looking for a buzz on a budget, and dont want to do it at home, you can certainly do that here. The ambiance is nice. Its clean and urban. Theres an outdoor seating area with a fire pit for those frigid Columbus nights. Fire and beer is a pretty good combo, and a great way to relax and socialize. Theres always a different food truck parked outside, so if you get hungry, you can sample a taste of Columbus cuisine without having to leave. You might get lucky and be there long enough for a truck transition. They also have some nice 7th Son gear for sale. You can buy shirts, sweatshirts, shot glasses, growlers and some other related items without breaking the bank. Room for improvement: Service: Everyone is nice enough, but I think they could do with a little more friendliness. Theyre not rude, just not very warm. Outside: I think itd be nice to have a little covering for the outside area to cut down on wind. Customer: Its basically a hipster magnet, so if you dont mind being around a lot of beards and irony, youll be good.

I agree with the complaints about the staff. The beer is good, if you like IPAs, and the setting is good (parking SUCKS), but communicating with the staff is horrible, nearly impossible. No one answers the phone. The voicemail rudely states "Do not leave a message as this account will not be checked." And no one responds to emails through the website. No, I am not going to beg you to take my money. I inquired to the bar staff about renting the space for an event. The employee told me he could not help and to get on the website or call the office. I called multiple times, no answer. The voicemail is not being monitored (see above). I emailed multiple times. The one response I received was a short, one sentence response that said the dates were unavailable but offered no alternative. I emailed back asking for alternative dates--no response. I have called and emailed multiple times over the past few months, and I have literally not gotten a single response. Like I said, Im not going to beg you to take my money. Nor will I put myself in a position where I need to communicate with your staff, at all.

10.9% not withstanding, Columbus has officially joined LA as overpriced, trendy and socially media-ized. Included my fingers as perspective for this not really half a pint in my opinion for $5... Tastes ok for a hoppy IPA but... perhaps I live in the dark past where a brew ran you a buck or two and you could nearly refill your glass with it. I am old and gray now, disgarded with the pre-interwebs world I once knew. Surrounded by young women as I am now I have not the trendy banter they perhaps expect. Damn I need to enjoy the company of a bar wench without the monetary outlay. As I am driving I cannot afford the old days of a flowing tap and my growing charm whilst I consume, chat up the ladies and operate heavy machinery, sometimes waking in a strange girls apartmento. Strange usually being the key word. Was I reviewing a bar? Hmm, forgotten what I was saying. So it goes. I shall add another star for my sins. I must add someone is playing the MC 5 "kick out the jams"... Up against the wall muthafukers! Flower power sucks! SDS wasnt really an FBI front, honestly!

The beers are great. Five stars there. The bartenders bring the score down. They were impatient and somewhat dismissive. Most of them (excluding the girl with the fossil necklace and the African-American gentleman) were kind of cold and crabby, except with each other. Asking another patron, he felt the same way. I have high standards with customer service. I guess I expect people to want to interact positively and engagingly with the people they are supposed to be serving. Its my guess that those individuals would scoff at this review rather than take any accountability or desire to improve. Not sure how the management will react. I will still be a retail customer, but wont be rushing to return to the bar.

We walked to this little brew house from our hotel in Short North on the recommendation of some locals. The building itself was very tastefully put together. A redeveloped service garage with plenty of natural light, easy to navigate space, and a welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor patio was sizable in relation to the indoor space and served as a great place to enjoy a cigar. What I cant say is that we were fans of the beers. We sampled a flight, finding nothing we enjoyed enough to get a pint, we tried another flight with the same results. Service was prompt, while unenthusiastic. Probably wouldnt go back, if we did it would be for a mixed drink on the patio.

Great place for a pint and a bite from a random food truck. Best when either of the two patios are open. Otherwise, it gets really crowded, and really loud. Also, bench seating is rough. When youre forced to share a trestle table and bench with two other parties that arrived at different times, everyone needs to get up in order for you to move the bench enough to get off of it to go get another drink (since theres no table service). Super awkward. Definitely limited the amount of time we were willing to stick around.

I only hate that I waited so long to try this place, since Ive obviously had the beers on occasion, it only makes sense to go to the source at some point. This is a GREAT space for a get-together or just a happy hour -- whatever you please. There is plenty of outdoor patio space, as well as a dining area, or you and yours can hang out in the taproom and bar. The beers are fantastic. The Stone Fort Oat Brown Ale is a great place to start. They also have flights available.

Seventh Sun is a great local Brewery. It can get pretty packed on the weekend, but theyre currently adding an additional patio to help alleviate with the crowd. Great beers that tend to be on the hoppy side, which are great if you like Pale Ales. Staff is very attentive and friendly. They dont have a kitchen, but normally have a local food truck outside. Great for both locals and people visiting Columbus for the first time

Nice brewery in terms of atmosphere, size, service. I like the food truck rotation idea so you can always get food while there. The beer is decent. The last time I was here on business I tried a brew at a restaurant from them that was great. The bartender talked the brewery up, so I decided to check it out. I was underwhelmed. If I ever find that one beer again I will purchase some, but the overall selection was just OK.
