One of my favorites. I have been eating here for a while now. I normally dine in although have occasionally gotten take out. The food is delicious. Others comment that the take out isnt fresh, tastes overcooked and all of that. When you get take out pick it up 5 to 8 minutes after you order it...not 20. If you wait too long its your fault that it doesnt taste fresh because at that point it isnt. The man in the evening is not unfriendly on the phone or in person. He is a bit short with you but he doesnt speak great english. He does hop to it and get the job done right. With all that said, if you can give your order without being offended because he doesnt blab for 5 minutes, pickup your food quickly after ordering, and not be nit picky about simple things...the food is delicious. 5 stars out of 5.

Ive been going here for over a decade. I personally have never called in an order or had delivery, but they do seem to be short on the phone. I dont know if thats good or bad...they seem to like the straight forward approach. Either way rarely do I have a problem with their food. I usually get General Tso or Chicken w/ Garlic sauce. Im not a fan of fried rice, the few times Ive had it here it seemed like most places Ive had it. For me the quality of the chicken and ingredients is probably the highest priority, and here both seem pretty good. I grew up not far from here, so ate there a decent amount in high school. Now I live downtown and actually drive 15-20 minutes to have it. Considering there arent many other chinese take out places around that area Im curious where all the haters go...

This has been by far the worst food i have ever had!!!!! We ordered take out when we got home to eat it the egg roll was over cooked, the rice was overcooked peas in the rice were hard and looked like it was freezer burnt. The bonlesss ribs were over cooked and had no sauce bone dry. It was horrible..... curry chicken hardly had any flavor it was cooked in what looked like water with a little curry my boyfriend and i couldnt even finish our meal. Then when i called them back and was explaining the problem that i had with their food the guy was laughing i was not AMUSED!!!!!! I will never order from there again.

I was extremely disappointed that this occurred because I really enjoyed this restaurant prior to the incident. I ordered the tofu lunch special (I had it once before and enjoyed it-especially for a/b $4.25) and I was immediately struck by a nasty sour odor- like something thats sat in the fridge too long. I tried one piece of tofu, spit it back out, and immediately threw the rest away- it tasted sour and rotten. I would normally excuse a single incident but it is inexcusable that anyone could cook & serve something that smelled this bad.

The food is nothing special, it taste just like any other Chinese place. The fried rice was more seasoned than I have had at other places, which was good. The crab rangoon was decent. My husband ordered the garlic shrimp and it was mainly veggies with 4 shrimp. I ordered the moo goo gai pan and it was full of chicken and it was very good. The hot and sour soup as well as the wonton soup were a little diluted. Overall it gets a 3 out of 5 because it was decent food, large portions, with a 10% discount for WFU students. Prices were average.

I ordered take out from here the third week in March, 2013. I ordered chicken with broccoli. And that is ALL I got. It was white, unseasoned chicken with plain steamed broccoli over steamed white rice. Thats it. No seasoning, no sauces, nothing. Worse, it made me sick. My best friend who picked it up said they didnt even call back for it - it appeared immediately as though it had been sitting around. I regretted eating there for hours after. Dreadful.

Great China is typical shopping center Chinese take out place (although they do have a clean, well lit and decently decorated dine in area). If you live nearby and want a place to pick up reasonably priced NY style Chinese take out Great China fits the bill. Its nothing fancy but the food is fine. Ive been going for several years and would dispute the previous posts - Ive always found the staff to be courteous.

I have to give them a 3 on this. The food is good, but we have to go and get it. The last time we ordered over the phone and had delivery it took them over an hour to get it here and they are less than 3 miles from our house. It took several calls to get it here and it was always "on the way". But the dang kicker to all this was the food was cold! No more delivery, if we want Chinese from there, we go get it.

I just finished eating some sesame chicken. The chicken was top notch and had great flavor. The fried rice was over cooked - several of the vegies had black on them from where it sat too long before it was stired around. The over cooked fried rice didnt impact the flavor at all. It was still a yummy meal.

Even after reading some of the reviews we still decided to order for delivery ... the food was good ... woman that delivered was friendly ... but it did take an hour n 15 minutes to get but that comes with getting delivery. I recommend it, it was spot on with my ny Chinese food

WORST place ever ! I called and order chicken wing , shrimp and fried rice and they did not bring me that , I called to tell them they got my order wrong and they had an attitude with me , said next time i order from there I better get my order right , dont eat here !

This is the second and last time I go to that restaurant. Ive never had any problems with any other chinese resturant but an hour after eating this food it tore straight through my stomach and just gave me the worst stomach pain ever! People were very friendly.

Guy on the phone lee was rude even hung up when I ask to talk to someone else they have delivered my food before but apparently now they dont deliver 4 mile!!! Never will I or anyone I Know eat there again

Review is based on who is cooking - usually go in the evening and the guy there is excellent. Wont order during the day or at night if the guy isnt working.
