food is great but I got a wake up call picking up for the first time today I should have stuck to ordering delivery; i called in a pickup and they gave me a number. first time there so i went in the dining area first and i was shunned and told pickups are next door. i go next door and give my number and the employees looked at each other like i spoke German. they then ask what i ordered (why give a number then). they put my food on the counter and after i pay they turn to walk away and i ask for a shopping bag......they put the bag on the counter and walk away. there were only 2 other people in the store so why not properly tend to your customer.....i hope it wasnt because my face didnt match the voice on the phone thats been calling for multiple years. i intentionally didnt tell them who i was but i told all of my co-workers about the experience (especially the ones with faces like mine).... again the food is great but after my experience today i might have to reconsider spending my money here the owners probably a good guy but his employees actions affect his business

Once inside the restaurant you have stepped back in time to the 1950s. Italian restaurants were family affairs and the sauce was red, the food was simple but good and the portions were big. So it is at A&V. The waitresses are terrific as is the food. Prices are quite reasonable and the carafes of wine are eminently drinkable. This is not fancy haute cuisine but rather the kind of restaurant my parents took me to growing up in brooklyn 60 years ago. It is more Italo-American cuisine than it is Italian, but it is very enjoyable and satisfying nonetheless.. PS- get a gnocchi marinara for the table, you wont regret it.

Im born and raised in New York City who wouldve known that Id find the best pizza ever in Yonkers!! Been their loyal customer for 20 years, they have even catered events for me!! All their food is top quality and delicious. Their prices are are surprisingly modest considering the amazingly great taste and high quality of their food!! My fav is the lasagna pizza!! I always bring my family and friends there and everyone loves it! Owner is a pleasure to deal with and so are his employees, all polite and friendly. Definitely a must try place if youre ever in the area!!

Ive been a customer for the past 48 years. As far as Im concerned, its the best Italian food anywhere. Prices are very competitive; homey atmosphere; and nice staff at hand. The original owner, one the best Italian chefs around, our dear Ernesto, left us a couple of years ago, but had the foresight to pass along to his family the delicious recipes, that made this eatery a special place, where to fully enjoy true Italian cuisine. Bless you, Ernesto, we miss you!!

A&V is a local restaurant with simple decor, friendly staff who interact with their customers, and who produce a superior bill of fare. Their chicken scapariello offers a series of taste sensations that one orders again and again. Their pizza is the best we have found, and travel from new york just for that delight. Its worth the trip, even though its somewhat difficult to find.

I ordered a supreme pizza with an order of buffalo wings, instead i got a cheese pizza with horrible watered down pizza sauce and 3 tiny buffalo wings covered with discustin grease fries and horrible ranch dipping sauce , all for 17.50 plus tip. l should have noticed something wrong when the delivery guy left his shadow behind.

My family & I have been going to A & Vs for years! The portions are more than enough & youre usually taking food home! The atmosphere is cozy & very "homelike." The owners are like family & treat each customer old & new as such! Awesome place! Definitely go try it! You wont be disappointed! Thats a promise!

Food and prices are good. But place is dirty, always flies in there. ordered food once,some really nasty stuff in white bag with the bread,guess what it was? called to complain and just blew me off.threw all that crap in the garbage. ill Never go there again!! I dont hate you, just clean up your place.

Me and Vinny Nardi and others took the old Franks Pizza and built an amazing pizzeria and restaurant , always prided on old world Italian. 30+ years later its still THE BEST PIZZA AND RESTURANT IN WESTCHESTER. BAR NONE. The help can be ornery but the food and prices are well worth it!

With A&V you get more than expected. The pizza is amazing, the pasta is always cooked to perfection, and the service ties it all together. I frequently eat at the pizzeria and the restaurant next door. I love them so much I ordered catering for a party. Great prices and AMAZING food!

Really good traditional (for the N.Y. area) pizza. They churn them out fast and at lower prices than just about anybody in the area. Parking is always difficult so be prepared to circle the block if youre picking it up. Delivery is reliable and relatively quick.

A&V is exactly what it claims to be: a neighborhood family restaurant, simply decorated and unpretentious. However the food is good and the wautresses were terrfic, friendly and accomodating. I liked it.
