Went something like this: -Hey babe, Im hungry, lets call cherry valley. -Really, its not the same anymore. -What? Its cherry valley! (I should have listened) -(ring, ring) Hi, can I place an order...blah blah, can I pay with my card. -We dont take cards over the phone, you have to order online, grubhub seamless whatever. Okay.. so I proceed to download the app, place the order, call cherry valley because I live 5 blocks away, no way the 90 minute wait at 11pm on a Thursday is accurate. -Yes, we got your order. Give it about 45 min. -Great, thanks! So I call 50 minutes in... -He left already, guy is in traffic. (??$^@%#<&??) (Traffic?) I say thank you and assume the guy is just leaving. It happens. Call 15 minutes later...I live 5 blocks away, about 75minutes in now, At that stage where your body starts eating muscle and isnt even hungry anymore. -His number is 917.. -Wait, you want me to call your delivery guy?? -Well, if you wanna know where your food is. -What? You want me to call your delivery guy?? The one in traffic?? You know what, just cancel the order. -Thats between you and grub hub, we get paid anyway. -Oh, you get paid anyway? Well thats the last time you get paid. Place still has best bacon egg and cheese, but I rather eat sand than pay them for anything. Would walk in there to a friendly crew jamming to a mix of all types of classics, now whitestone is left with this.... Brand assassination. Rude, lying, zero call handling skills, telephone tough guys. Tell me the guy has a lot of orders, he is just leaving now, give me a realistic update. Dont do what crappy Valley did tonight. Side note: why do orders placed directly take 40min and online orders take 90? Maybe Cuz they get paid anyway...

Ive been eating cherry valley my entire life, like anyone else who grew up in Queens. The only things worth ordering anymore are egg sandwiches and cold cut sandwiches. The quality of their chicken cutlets have gone down to an unacceptable level. Couldnt take more than one bite, i cant even describe it. Its not rubbery, it almost snaps off, i dont know what it is but it doesnt have the consistency of an actual chicken cutlet. Also, i had ordered their turkey burgers a few times in the past and they were never great, but never awful. I ordered a turkey burger with cheese last night, and could not take more than 3 bites. They changed the brand of the patties, and now they are a rubbery mess. Very disappointed in the lack of quality, especially in the chicken cutlets, which are a vital part of their best sandwiches. If someone assures me that they went back to using a higher quality chicken cutlet, Id be happy to return and improve the rating and review. Side note, the dark-haired girl they had working there with the attitude problem seems to no longer work there, for anyone who had experienced terrible customer service from her. So thats a plus.

If youre looking to find a fat sandwich in the middle of the night, you have two options. You can either head over to Cristinas or swing by Cherry Valley right across. I came here once with a family member and was surprised by the wide selection they had. Now this was my first time ever having a fat sandwich and I must say, they really made a good impression. The sandwich I ordered was the Bomb. Its a steak sandwich with lots of gravy, onion rings and cheese. Its probably one of the best sandwiches I can recommend a first timer coming to Cherry Valley. The service took about 10-15 minutes, very quick and the cashier was really pleasant and patient with our delayed ordering. Whether youre a Cherry Valley or Cristinas fan, both are great, dont let that take you away from great tasting artery clogging foods which will probably kill you in a few years if you eat it everyday. But seriously, I would recommend checking out both. You decide. Its 24/7 and generally parking is not trouble at all, theres usually plenty of parking spots open (at night, not day. Day youre going to walk a few blocks.).

Ok this is a staple of your going to go out for a night of trashy drinking then this 24 hour spot is the after party filled with fatty goodness! 1. Its a 24 hour deli so your not getting a materde but they are polite enough in the Whitestone ways that says, " dont approach unless you know what you want, how can I help you " way. Ok when you go in there you will have about 100 if not more sandwhich selections two thirds of which will shave years of your life, 2. You know your theres if you pull up on to the road and see what looks like tinker bell took a crap all over the road, because after you eat your sandwich everyones aluminum foil wrapt ends up in the floor! 3. The fries with gravy and cheese, the couch or the beast which is chicken cutlets on garlic bread with onion wrings bacon cheese and gravy I think, are what they are most know for

I am only giving cherry valley a 2 star review only based upon the fact that a long time ago it was one of the best sandwich spots open 24/7 365 a year. Their staple sandwichs like the beast (which by the way is supposed to come with garlic bread) is one of their best sandwiches. At least tell youre customer that you dont have garlic bread instead of substituting it with Italian bread. Their chicken cutlets are rubbery and taste really bad. The bacon is just gross and the onion rings taste like they where made last week. All in all if you get breakfast their or make youre own sandwiches it does come out great I now will never go out of my way to eat here ever again there are better places now in queens and would rather starve then down another sandwich from this place too bad.SMH

This is the place to go if you want a sandwich that you thought that existed in your dreams and after a hard night of partying. I usually get the Macho Man, which is a delicious blend of roast beef, brown gravy, sautéed onions, and brown gravy with the couch fries that is melted mozzarella cheese and their famous brown gravy. If not I get their which is fries, bacon bits, cut up chicken fingers, melted cheddar cheese and ranch dressing. Yummy does not even begin to describe this food. The meats are very fresh and the rolls super soft. If you are on a diet this is not the place go. I do recommend getting their number and placing your order before you get there if you are planning on getting there any time after 1am because the place becomes a zoo.

I love the food here, came all the way out of my way to stop here on the way home from CT just because we were passing near there. I am 8 months pregnant coming off a 3 hour drive and had to use the restroom very badly. A girl behind the counter asked another gentlemen behind the counter if I could use the bathroom but he refused me so I had to run down the street holding myself and went to Ducale and they let me run right back there and relieve myself. I came back to get food here because Im not going to let one worker affect how I feel about the food but I hope the owner/manager sees this review and realizes that although there is no public restroom its common decency to make exceptions especially for pregnant patrons.
