Driven past this place numerous times without a second thought. Then I read the reviews and had to try it. I was not at all disappointed! Ordered the panfried lamb & mushroom dumplings, the flavor green bean sheets, and the flavor crispy potatoes. The dough for the dumplings was light and silky yet chewy. The filling was moist and flavorful and the dumplings had a light crisping. Forget the heavy dumplings you know from your typical Chinese joint. These dumplings, with more varieties of fillings than youd ever think of, are a totally different type of food. The Flavor Green Bean Sheets and the Flavor Crispy Potatoes are both listed as "salads" although thats a bit of a confusing classification. The green bean sheets are thick, wide "glass noodles", and I now understand where that term comes from. These noodles are as clear as they can be, deliciously chewy and slippery, and wonderfully flavorful dressed with cucumbers and what I think was a few strips of chicken in a clear, spicy sweet dressing with a distinct taste of horseradish. The potatoes are like the best straw potatoes you will ever have! Hard, crispy shreds of potato with a vinegar and cilantro flavoring. The potatoes are dry, and a little sticky almost. I almost wish they had a sauce-y accompaniment, but nevertheless I ate the full serving. I thoroughly recommend this place if you are feeling like something out of the ordinary. The food was delicious and interesting. Try things youve never seen on another menu before and appreciate the warm service, the authentic food and the reasonable prices (all three dishes and a soda came to less than $30). I will definitely be back many, many times.

The service was horrendous. The old man (who I believe is the owner) was particularly rude and ruined my entire experience. I asked for a dish to be slightly altered because it wasnt to my liking, and he proceeded to complain about that request for 20 minutes aloud to his employee. I confronted him twice about it without a response. Meanwhile, he continued to complain about it for everyone else to hear. As he left, he asked in a sarcastic tone if the other food I ordered was good, then made an offensive gesture towards me. At this point I again asked him if we had a problem and he didnt answer and continued to leave. I left without eating half of my food because I just couldnt wait to get out of there. During his complaint, he said numerous times, "If they dont like the food, then they can go somewhere else." I will be taking his advice and never coming back to this place, and I suggest that you do the same.

Worst. Place. Ever.! Waitress (and I use the term loosely,) was rude when we said we were waiting for a friend. Didnt offer a drink while we waited, we had to ask her after a short time. The older man that took our order said that it was a lot of food...really? Is it your business? We all wanted to take home. After food was served they checked once, then 40 minutes before they came back. Our drinks sat empty most of night. Food was subpar. Not that good. We asked for take home trays and the woman gave us a hard time. Asked for separate checks, yup, you guessed it. Hard time. Then the older man stood over us basically rushing us out while we got our coats on. At least the company of my friends was good....

I love this place. Dont be fooled by the simple dining area, or the strip mall location. The dumplings are fantastic, flavorful and cheap! Im not typically a vegetable dumpling kind of guy, but I am blown away by how tasty the veggie dumplings are. Im a big fan of mixing the hot pepper sauce with the others offered (they have a mustard based "Dumpling sauce", a sweet dumpling sauce and the hot pepper). The food is all made by hand and locally sourced. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and thats saying quite a bit given the Hudson Valleys fantastic food options.

This place has good dumplings in an area where there is literally no other option (that I know of). I would give them 4 stars for the food, and 1 star for the service. Weve ordered both in house and for delivery and have the same experience pretty much every time- rude staff and long wait times (30+), even when calling in ahead or ordering online. All but 1 of the employees is rude. Going to be taking a break from ordering here for a while- hopefully a competitor will open up soon.

My wife and I found this wonderful restaurant after a whole day driving. We ordered the Egg with Chive Dumpling (which is the most popular dumpling in the northern China), the Lamb with Squash Dumpling, and the Flavor Shredded Potato. All the food were greater than we expected! We are Chinese and these were the best dumplings since I have been in the US. Highly recommended!

Comfortable, relaxed environment. A place for regulars, sit back and have a slow meal. I feel the elderly owner/serving could use some help on busier nights but patience is a virtue when you get your meals. I enjoy everything about this place. The food, the atmosphere. A hole in the wall with some amazing food.

Northern Chinese handmade dumplings. Made to order so understand there will be a small wait. Every order has about 10 to 12 dumplings per plate and they do not mix and match but its well worth it. If its your first time just ask what the waitress would recommend its probably your best bet.

Great food and friendly staff. The hot and sour soup is amazing, its not the usual brown starchy goo at all the other wah yoan/NYC distributor supplied places. The kimchi is the best Ive had outside of Japan. There is no sweetener added to the kimchi like at the local buffets.

The best dumplings Ive had outside of NYC, hands down. Edit: The guy who runs it and about half the staff are very rude and their takeout time estimates are ways wrong by about 30 minutes. It seems like they dont start making your order until you show up to get it.

They had the most outstanding dumplings, and even my friends who hated dumplings like these ones, they arent really oily and bland as the generic Chinese food restaurants and they also have very good soup and bubble tea, overall a very good restaurant!

dumplings are very tastey and fresh. its different than in nyc. noodle soup is full of suprise and is not too spicey but with a kick, my 11 yrs old likes it very much, try fish type dumpling. portion is a bit small, 3 adult & 1 kids almost $60.

Awesome dumplings! Highly recommend youll spend $2.50 more than your average Chinese place, but it is worth it. Only thing they need to improve is their menu. Not enough choices I would love to have my whole dinner here

Great flavorful food. My family, kids and all love to go here as one of our dining out spots. Try the egg dumplings and the lo mein is very good. You feel like your dinning at a friends house.

This is a lovely little blink-and-you-miss-it hole-in-the-wall. The dumplings are wonderful and extremely flavorful and juicy. I would recommend the lamb w/squash or pork w/scallions.
