This store is a scam. We wanted a cake for my sons birthday and called up. They assured us that they could do it and suggested we came in to see all their designs. The price was $40. We turned up and they were very nice. My wife picked out a design and asked if they could make it in cookie dough. They said no problem--but it would be an extra $6 because it was a premium flavor. WTF! I have been buying ice cream for more than 40 years and never paid extra for a special flavor. And why is cookie dough premium? Every ice cream store and supermarket offers this flavor for the same price as all the other flavors. Dont waste your time or money here as the owners a looking for ways to get extra money out of you. FYI, the store on Central Ave does not charge extra for "special flavors". Next time we will just go down the road to Haagen Dazs which charges the same for "special flavors". RESPONSE Carvel responded within an hour. Good to see they back up their product and quality. FYI I will never eat there again!! Hi, We do not handle the Carvel stores. They are independent on their own. I do apologize that you had a bad experience with them. You may want to direct your comments to the store manager as they need to be aware of your experience with this location. Thank you, There is no point getting in touch with with store manager, since the owner was the one who served us. Looks like Carvel will be next to go out of business.

Great service. The owners are always welcoming when I go. If youre undecided about a flavor, theyre quick to offer you a sample. Im not sure of Carvel sets the prices in all their stores or if theyre independently set, but the cost is a little steep. 2 vanilla cones & 1 Heath Dasher cost $13+. The store is located on the corner in Depot Square. Weather permitting, after you get your ice cream, you can walk over to the square center and enjoy your ice cream on the park benches.
