I am a senior at Saratoga Springs High School, Id say I go to this establishment at least once a week to do some work, talk to friends or get some food, but after my awful experience there today I will never go to The Fortunate Cup Again. Me like many of my friends have brought other food into Fortunate but today was the first day (in any coffee place) that me and my friend were asked to leave for bringing in a bagged lunch and a muffin from Dunkin donuts. I thought this was totally uncalled for for many reasons. One being I was going to order a drink moments before a man approached us and rudely insisted wed leave. I just wanted to share my rude experience at Fortunate in hopes that other students or people use caution in choosing a coffee place.

I used to meet business associates here all of the time and it was great. Over the past year or so, Ive witness a stark decline in quality, value and charm. It is no longer a special. This morning, three of us ordered the breakfast bowls. They came in a "bowl" about the size of a shot glass for $8 and devoid of flavor. Im not sure what happened to this place, but the convenience of on-site parking no longer outweighs the so-so product. I wont be going back. Id rather drive around the block 5 times to park near Uncommon Grounds. Fortunate Cup pales in comparison.

Steve and his team do an awesome job of creating a relaxing atmosphere while maintaining the best cup of coffee in Saratoga. The beans are freshly roasted from Capital City Coffee Roasters - inexpensive pricing for quality java. They also offer their customers a wide range of payment methods including bitcoin. Definitely my go to spot when Im in Saratoga.

I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and the cinnamon bun. Steve, the owner, was very nice. The environment was clean and warm inside. I was also able to pay with bitcoin, which is a plus.

A bit of a hard place to find, but well worth it! The muffins are solid and the mocha latte has some serious legs. Also one of the few places around here with a drive through!
