I really wanted to like this place since its the closest deli to our office, but alas all my experiences there were subpar with just ok food and not a super friendly atmosphere created by the staff. Then, I had TWO separate unfortunate incidents there that now make me never want to go back again. First, I bought a bottle of soda that I didnt realize until I left had a broken seal and I had to throw it out. I wouldve gone back to return it, but there was never a good opportunity so I let that one go. The 2nd incident happened yesterday when we ordered a large lunch order for our staff over the phone and our receptionist went to pick up the order. I had ordered a mixed green salad ($6.50 on the website) but they had given me one with goat cheese and cranberries that I did not order and charged my credit card $9.23! When I went back today to kindly ask for a refund of my $2, the manager blamed it on our employee who picked up the order saying she mustve picked that one out on her own. I tried to explain that I dont think that was the case, but he insisted. And I also called him out for charging $8.50 for a small bowl of lettuce and handful of cranberries and goat cheese. He would not budge and said, "$1 for cranberries, $1 for goat cheese...thats the price." Well sir, I hope that $2 was worth it to you to lose my business and the business of my company. He should reconsider his customer service approach and realize that if you work in the service industry, your goal should be to make your customers happy so they keep coming and spending. Im leaving one unhappy customer and one thats not afraid to share her opinions to others in the neighborhood as well.

Im surprised at some of the negative comments. Either Im missing something or the competition is jealous and sending out trolls. From my experience with this deli, I greatly suspect the latter. Ive been in town for a couple of months on a project. Typically, we order lunches from a preferred caterer, but when we do not, I head over to the Ronkon Deli for what I consider to be excellent sandwiches and a fair deal. They have always been nice and have never failed to offer me two included sides in addition to a sandwich on the daily deals. It costs 5 or 6 bucks for a Big Mac Meal, so I dont think that a fresh, heaping sandwich with two fresh sides for 8 bucks is even close to being out of line. And the freshly-baked Whoopie Pies are to die for...or so I am told :-) I certainly did not meet anyone there that I would consider DUMB, but, then again, I was not there when the anonymous poster allegedly paid $8 for two pieces of cheese on flatter-than-flatbread bread. Alas! A missed opportunity to meet him or her. I usually do not post on these sites, pro or con, but were ordering from there this week and I saw the unfair posts, so thought Id chime in. I highly recommend Ronkonkoma Deli.

HORRIBLE deli. The staff was obnoxious, rude, and DUMB. Even that I wouldnt have cared about, but the food was disgusting AND too expensive! A ham and cheese sandwich? How can you ruin that? For starters, it had only two pieces of ham, and the roll was thinner than flat bread. There was more mayo than there was meat! And $8 for the sandwich alone! No pickle, no chips, no soda, no salad. An $8 ham sandwich. Skip it. Theres a much better deli right around the corner with a polite staff, reasonable prices...and normal sized rolls.

Literally the WORST egg sandwich Ive ever had in my life . Sent my boyfriend to get us breakfast most disgusting sandwich Ive ever eaten literally ate half of a half and threw it out . Bacon was like raw when it was ordered as well done , eggs were skimped and the cheese tasted cheap . Wouldnt be surprised if we both get sick from the sandwiches something didnt seem right . Never mind the fact that it was super expensive . Will NEVER return . Should have read the reviews before ordering

Absolutely terrible. doesnt even deserve 1 star. the food was trash. we were the only ones in the deli buying breakfast for our whole office and this old woman who works there gave us this nasty attitude as if we were bothering her to do her job. her attitude was so bad we made her stop making our egg sandwiches and went to hero express up the block which has 100 times better service and food to finish our order

Went in wanting something really good. Guys were great, offering standard fare, but then made a custom wrap with their roast pork special on Tuesdays, combining with rice, beans and cheese and then grilling it up crisp. It was awesome and what service! Will definitely be back when in the area! Wish more places were as friendly.

I went in to order a bunch of breakfast sandwiches for my colleagues. The lady there had an Absolute terrible attitude & customer service! Not to mention, she got 4 out of 5 orders wrong!! I will never, ever go there again!! Hero Express was cheaper & 10xs better!!

I love this deli! Best Mac n cheese Ive ever had! And also the best roast beef! Ive used them multiple times for catering and my guests always rave about how good the food is. I cant even believe anyone would give them a bad review.

Cant complaint about the staff they are nice but the prices on the food are extremely high. I paid 9.45 for a chicken cutlet sandwich and the same sandwitch at other delis is no more than 5$ sorry but im not stopping here anymore.
