Now I have been a HUGE fan of Red Robin for years. I still think it is one of the best places in Rochester to get a good quality burger. There are many unique options for all different kinds of burgers, which taste phenomenal. Originally Red Robin had a concept, which I enjoyed, that was the actual "red robin" sports theme. To my disappointment Red Robin re-invented itself as being a "modern day" sports burger bar, and got rid of the "red robin" theme. This also included there once easy to understand "red robin" burger menu, to there now overly complicated modern choice. The once giant red robin costume, who would walk around the entire restaurant, is now merely a chicken in the ashes (gone). This however, does not take away from their food and drinks!! The service at Red Robin for me is always superb, being some of the most attentive/fastest servers I have seen. Red Robin really prides itself on low ticket times, to make sure all your food/drinks arrive promptly. The manager is also always doing table checks routinely to all the tables, to make sure each guest has a great experience. DRINKS: Some of the coolest themed cocktails I have seen for a chain restaurant like the Tropical Mai Tai (Myerss® Dark and BACARDI® Select rums, orange curaçao, fruit juice, grenadine and fresh, house-made sweet & sour). The Mai Tai even comes in a wicked cool tiki bowl, big enough to even share with a date. Sand In Your Shorts® where skinny-dipping is of course encouraged after drinking this beachy blend of Chambord®, Midori®, vodka, peach schnapps, triple sec, orange juice, cranberry juice and fresh, house-made sweet & sour. The really boozy, but delicious KAHLUA® Jamaican Shake which is Grand Marnier®, Kahlua®, amaretto and vanilla cream. This is just a sample of what I think are there most amazing bar choices. If you want to have a sober meal, of course you never can go wrong with their famous Bottomless Freckled Lemonade. There lemonade I know is always squeezed fresh daily by the servers. APPETIZERS: You have to get there world famous Towering Onion Rings®!!! Huge, delicious, flaky, and stacked in a "tower-like" setting. It comes with their campfire sauce (which is one of my favorite sauces of ALL time, a mix between bbq and blue cheese), and homemade ranch. The second must have appetizer is there Pretzel Bites which are warm, soft pretzel bites served alongside this amazing Guinness beer cheese dip (who doesnt like beer with their pretzel bites??) SOUPS: Believe it or not, one of the best French Onion Soups you will find will be at Red Robin. The melted Provolone and Parmesan are so nicely thick and oozing on top of the onion/garlic broth simmering underneath. The broth mixture is nice and thick, instead of the watered down version you get at most restaurants. The French Onion Soup is a hidden gem within their menu. WRAPS: Yeah who said Red Robin was only good at burgers? This one particular wrap is to die for, which is the Whiskey River Bbq Wrap. It is a renegade of flavors in the Southwest into a tasty spinach like tortilla: grilled chicken with tangy Whiskey River® BBQ Sauce, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tortilla strips and a touch of ranch. Brace for an amazing stampede in your mouth!! BURGERS: Alright on to the main event, THE BURGERS. For starters Red Robin gets all there burgers shipped to them daily FRESH. The Burger is then put onto a state of the art conveyer belt which goes along a temperature controlled system to make sure each and every burger comes out exactly to temp for juiciness. My top Gourmet Burger Picks are: The Banzai Burger which is glazed in teriyaki and topped with grilled pineapple, Cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo for a taste wave thatll knock you off your board. Eating the Banzai burger is really like taking a piece of Hawaii with you, Aloha. The Whiskey River Bbq Burger: Super smoky, tangy tribute like youre in the Wild West.

Came here on a late afternoon with my boyfriend just wanting to eat something small and the host who brought us to the table said that she was sorry the tables we were being placed in were messy and used the words "retarded people" in front of us. We were both in shock and kept asking each other if we heard that correctly. Hearing the host say that made us feel very insulted. We werent very sure on how to order as the mini screen on our table didnt have the full menu and even clicking on the button to call a server, no one came to help us for about 15 mins until we had to call over a server who was taking care of another table. We complained about the slow service and how rude the host was being in front of us. We dont know her name but she has blonde hair and tattoos and we gave her a big tip. The manager came to us and apologized about the long wait and the hosts rudeness. The manager took out one of the burgers from our bill, and we got out food right away after from the manger himself which I thought was very professional and brings out the vibe that customers are the top priority. We left very happy and didnt change our mind on this place. We would have given his experience a much worse star but the host who helped us and the manager really made this experience very well received.

We are visiting the area from out of state and decided to give RR a try. Food was good, waitress was good but the manager was horrible. My family and I hardly ever experienced racism as a whole like my AA husband has but this incident was one that left me feeling totally singled out: The manager comes out and greets all parties at 5 tables EXCEPT FOR OURS! Our table was smack in the middle of the surrounding tables so its not like he didnt see us. I even asked my husband if he saw what I just saw and he said yes. I felt so unwelcomed at that point. I brought it to our waitress attention and she apologized over and over again. Im not one to always blame things on racism because Id like to believe that every little thing is not because of race but this guys actions made it blatantly obvious. I will nvr set foot in that establishment again!

I really enjoy this place a go here quite often. Mainly because they are a great burger place with gluten free options: a gluten free bun that is very good and hard cider on tap. The only reason why I am not rating it 5 stars is because about every 4th time we go there, we have a specific waitress who seems to not care about us, doesnt write anything down, and mistakes end up happening. The mistakes are not always her fault (though other times, definitely are), but we only have issues when we are served by her. At this point it seems to be beyond just a coincidence. Regardless, it is still one of our favorite gluten free options in the area.

The food is FANTASTIC and the service is SUPER! I go here once every month and always ask for the same guy, whos really friendly, gets the food out to the table VERY quickly, and ALWAYS gets the order right. If you like fries, youll like the fries here because they taste AMAZING (It also doesnt hurt that they come with free refills!) The milkshakes are sooo good they taste like heaven (I have to get the "monster" size every time because theyre so superb!) If youve been here before and thought the service was lousy, you most DEFINITELY got the wrong server. I cant think of anything negative about this joint.
