So im not one to write reviews, ever. But after looking for a solid Hookah Lounge to go on a date to, I came across Majilis. After reading all the reviews I saw every review say either amazing food, amazing hookah, amazing music, amazing service or all of them. Except for one reviewer who complained about the only girl who waits the tables saying how rude she was and what not. Disregarding the one bad reviewer I went to this place solely based on the reviews. I got seated right away, they brought me a hookah right away. I didnt get any hot foo, just fries and hummus but it was still really good and I saw other people eating the Hot plates which looked really good we just werent that hungry. I saw some people playing this really big weird board game and I was interested so I asked our waitress what it was and to maybe explain to us what the game was. This is the same waitress who got a bad review because she was the only girl there. She stayed with us for at least 5 minutes or so explaining the ENTIRE game to us very nicely and patiently. And after she came around every once in a while asking how we were doing with the game and seeing if we had any questions or wanted more service. She was very nice despite the reviewers bad thoughts and she made the experience that much better because we got to play a new game from Pakistan we just learned. I dont usually go to Hookah Lounges but this one I would for sure recommend to anyone to go to with friends or on a date and I would go again. Really chill for either honestly. They have cards and board games for you to play just ask. I was very happy with my experience here.

Do Not Come HERE !!!!!! This Place use to be good not any more. I ordered a masala fries and a hookah. The male waiter took the order 15 mins later came back with humus which i didnt order. A female came and asked what did i order, she took the order again. 2 waiters got the order wrong 3 times after 45mins.The indian female had a rotten attitude about the wrong order. I decided to speak to the owner which i knew personally . I got the same response he gave @Safrina Alexandra. I was sitting at the end and notice the cold draft from the door frequently being open. So the food and tea got cold quick. It does not cost much to put a plastic door on the outside or inside to block the cold draft. Alot of customers next to me was complaining about it and left. There was customers waiting for tables while the 2 waitresses did nothing to clean the tables. The BOUNCER at the door had to yell at them to clean the table to get customers seated. Its now March and there was still Xmas Decor hanging off the ceiling. Seats had tears in them and looks outdated. I highly doubt this place will change. Money changes people and rather than re invest in the service and decor , they just rely on customers to write positive reviews to get more people on. I am sorry i had to write this because i feel bad but it is what it is. Service is bad they should not include a tip in the bill when they do not provide a good customer interaction. You are better off going to places like After8 on steinway or places in manhattan.

They have set regulations but without them it would not make the lounge so perfect. No sagging, and loud abnoxious noises are some of the rules which make this place classy and the atmosphere enjoyable. The service was amazing. They will always check up on the hookah system and maintain clean tables. They also give good recommendations and tips for first time customers. The owner was very friendly and caring for all. He takes the time to know his customers and makes sure they all are happy, while sticking to regulations. Staff are very professional. The food was all halal and too good to be true. I was not expecting the food at a hookah lounge to be as good as it was tonight. It was my first time going to any hookah lounge and i am beyond thankful i went to this one with two friends of mine , one who also loved her first experience here with me. The booths are very comfortable and they have a tv screen every where so no matter where you are seated you will be able to see! They spoil you in your portions. Each dish is almost hard to finish, but it is so good that you have to. Thank you so much for such a great experience Riz. Will definitely come again soon.

As someone who goes to hookah lounges on the regular, I must say Majilis has really improved since the first day I have walked through those doors. I have been absent from coming to Majilis for a couple months but for the first time coming back I was greeted enthusiastically by an employee. As I was seated this employee made conversation with me as if I was an old friend of his (which is always nice and a very warm welcome) I continued conversation with him just to find that he was the owner of Majilis. This guy is great and has nice charm. He took care of us the entire night as well as the staff. As someone who goes to hookah lounges regularly Majilis is definitely at the top of my list! They have unique hookahs that are made clean and precise, it takes a good 45 mins before you need a new set of coals. The food is fresh, and the tea is what has always had me coming back for more. I will not forget this experience and will definitely continue being a customer to Majilis. Many more to visits to come! PS dont forget to try their cake :)

This is hands down, my favorite hang out place. Im usualy here at least 4/5 times a week, it feels like a second home. The ambiance is on point here, im always in a better mood after I leave from here. The hookah is great and the service is even better. Majlis has very friendly and efficient staff. Everyone is very nice but Danish and Sasha are my two favorite servers, but Sasha is the best, she is so welcoming and friendly, I feel like ive gained a new friend :) They always look out for us and make sure our hookah and food is on point and will fix it if we arent satisfied. The best part is that they have ludo here, which is another reason that makes us come back again and again. The owner of the place is very nice as well, always adressed all his guests to make sure everyone is comfortable and the best thing is that he treats his staff very well.

I hate writing reviews but I must say this is one of those hookah places which has it all. Friendly staff and one of those hookah spots where you dont have to constantly tell them to replace your coals. So far I have gone here 3 times and had more then adequate experience. Also hosted my birthday party at this lounge as well because they have a VIP section and privacy booths for those hot date ;) Its Convenient! right off the Cross Island Expressway. I hate it when I drive to Astoria and spend 40 mins looking for parking...Aghhhh!!!! Makes me wanna hop right back on the effin highway and go back home....thank god Majlis has plenty of parking, decent food and great hookah that keeps me bringing back. Just hope things stay the way they are or change for better at this place. great hookah.
