This Au Bon Pain is located inside the LIJ Medical Center lobby. I have been visiting family at this hospital on and off for the past 5 months and I frequent this Au Bon Pain every time Im in the hospital. Every single time I visit I notice that the area where the sugar and milk is located is filthy. Its not dirty from milk or sugar spilled that day but its dirty from old milk, sugar and coffee stains that are caked up in the sugar tray areas. Ive verbally complained to the manager and stated that its old dirt and its unappealing and should be taken care of. Today I visited only to see the same gunk from last month in the sugar tray. Its terrible.

Dropped by for a quick weekday lunch. I like how modern this place is - you can order your sandwiches on automated kiosks to the side. So efficient! But on top of this, Ive just never been to another Au Bon Pain location where the workers are so energetic and on top of everything. They were alert to when people came in and made sure that all the orders were in and made quickly. Great service. I enjoyed my black bean burger immensely! No tables inside, just 2 counters and stools along the window - good for people watching. Dont forget to sign up for their e-mails and get your free birthday sandwich/salad for your birthday every year!

I absolutely love, love, LOVE Au Bon Pain!!! Food, cookies, and pastry is always so fresh. Its like heaven when Im biting into their croissants and danishes. OMG YES!!! Kudos to you guys. Im a patient at LI JEWISH on 76th and I love it so much Im actually asking the aids to go downstairs for me at like 3 in the morning to get me some cookies. Lol how greedy am I lol. Id recommend them to EVERYONE!!!!

Food is good, service sucks. The people making the sandwiches and coffee are asses. Theyd rather ignore customers and talk about their Facebook or Twitter accounts to coworkers. Douche bags! Cashiers were very polite. Avoid this location.
