My wife and I decided to have lunch at the Turnpike Cafe. We saw their lunch special menu and deided to have it. We had soup, our main entree and a dessert. We also had a frappachino and iced coffee. When I asked for some grated parmigian cheese to sprinkle on the pasta, the waiter asked the manager what he should do. Well, he told him to charge me $1.00 to sprinkle a bit of cheese on my pasta. I said forget it. This was not the first time I had eaten in this restaurant, but it is now the last. Also, the service was not the greatest. We had to ask the busboy for our dessert. The waiter was to busy. The food was good. That wasnt the problem.

Didnt have the greatest experience here, on a Saturday night. We were a group couples. I was one of the first to decide what to eat and ordered a simple pasta, the pasta never showed up and when we asked for the desert menu the manager asked me if I still wanted the pasta, obviously no. Simply, I didnt have the best first experience. My friends say its a great place, mainly for the taste of food, very poor customer service/satisfaction. Im not sure Ill bother going here again.

Fresh food makes a difference! You wont find frozen store bought fries and mozzarella sticks here but rather freshly made delicious food and great service. I come here often and the food never disappoints. Some of my favorites are: butternut squash soup, eggplant parmigiana, grilled salmon wrap and mozzarella sticks. I wish there were more kosher restaurants nearby that have tasty, freshly made food at reasonable prices.

Even,considering that it is kosher,the large individual with mushrooms;was NOT really enjoyable. And the service,was continually disorganized. This was topped off,by a $3.95 watery glass of"minted"Iced-Tea. There was no hint of mint,except for a mint-leaf. One could do better,even at a strictly kosher restaurant.

Definitely the best and freshest food in the area. From the seafood to the pasta everything is delicious, but my favorite is definitely their shakshuka for breakfast. Staff has always been friendly not really sure what other reviewers are talking about, Ill definitely be coming back.
