I love diners...Thats why the food here shocked me. I ordered the bbq ribs, and they came in one hard slab, without a knife. The meat was like rubber, so it was sent back. The second rack of ribs were the same thing. Could not cut into the meat, it was rubbery as if microwaved My dad also ordered a burger, and specified " well done". The burger was red on the inside. The girl that rang up the order ( the hostess) was also incredibly rude! She never asked how the meal was, and when we mentioned the poor quality of the meal, she only gave us a nasty look. On the plus side, our waitress Stephanie was very sweet. I frequent diners , and highly reccommend The Dutchess Diner, The I-84 Diner, and The Redline.

If i could i would give this place a 10- the owner is incredibly rude and disrespectful sometime in the morning today i guess a new employee was about to do training and the owner of the store was literally yelling at this poor girl something about how her outfit was wrong and that he doesnt want some disgusting person working for him with out clean clothing. you could even hear him across the restaurant!! what is wrong with this guy?? the food wasnt even that great.. it was cold on top of it all and the servers had bad attitudes. i wont be stopping back here no time soon thats for sure!

I have always been loyal to Dutchess Diner, but weve been getting food from here because they deliver. They forgot a piece of our order the other day and found it absolutely hilarious that we were calling back to ask for it to be delivered. One time, Dutchess Diner forgot our toast, they brought it right away AND they dont even deliver. Note to table talk: I order from you because Im at work and cant leave. Your job is to deliver what I ordered. If you cant do that, dont deliver. We wont be ordering from you guys again... I hope you find this just as funny.

I have to admit that I am a regular. However, Ill be candid. I havent had a meal that I have disliked in the 3 years Ive come here. Ive had a variety of the salads to the entrees and its always great. The chef does a great job with the soups and if you get a chance, try the chili. The best thing about TT is the friendly service. The waiters/waitresses are the best and the hosts always come around and chat when not seating people. Overall a great place for a local (or not so local).

Great family run diner that we always frequent for breakfast when we are passing through Poughkeepsie. The Table Talk Combo is a go to favorite with pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage (my wife says this is her all time favorite sausage). My kids like the brioche french toast and the oatmeal bowl. The service is extremely friendly and makes an effort to remember repeat customers, very welcoming. I would really recommend Table Talk for breakfast or brunch!

I gave 5 stars because Table Talk Diner met all 5 of the things that I look for in a place to eat. - The staff was friendly and helpful. - The host/hostess seated me as promptly as possible and made sure that I the waitress/waiter knew that I was there. - There was plenty of choices on the menu that would match any taste. - The food came quickly and was hot. - The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Overall, a very good experience.

Okay, so Ill be honest. When I went into this place, I knew the food would be expensive. I ordered a salmon salad to go, came up to 15.08 total w/ tax and no drink. As I walked out to my car and looked at what I got, the piece of salmon was so small, that it wasnt even worth putting on my salad at all. Lets just say they wont be seeing my money anymore. If youre looking to get your moneys worth, this isnt the place to go.

Was okay. Food took a while even though they were not many people. They put a big piece of bread in my French onion soup and my fried calamari was chewy and had no seasoning. Look like they just rolled in flour and fried. Plus they charge 4 dollars for extra bread. Not impressed nor satisfied. They say they are with red line diner which is sad. Not even good. Red line is better. Dont waste your time here.

Ive only been once, they were packed and there was even a wait... Which for lunch on a weekday was surprising. I was meeting someone so I was willing to wait, the (who appeared to be) owner saw me waiting and not ecstatic, came right over while others were being seated and took me to a table. Waiter was friendly for was good and they got me on and out. Id return

Why is it that New York diners are so much better than elsewhere? Egg sandwiches are drool worthy. Barbecue chicken hit the spot. Service is friendly and attentive. Prices are fair. Our only dislike were the black and white cookies, which were dry and blah. Certainly not a destination, but not a bad place to happen upon.

Our waitress spent the whole lunch bitching and wining , fighting and being nasty and very unprofessional with the other coworkers , screaming from across the dining room for coffe to hostess , weve had a very stressful lunch !! Had one of the best burgers ever the BBQ burger cooked to perfection ad the bun was amazing The service was amazing and was perfect, pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Baked goods and milkshakes also delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area to eat there

I frequently come here once a week or so and I can say its one of the best diners in Poughkeepsie. The pasta is always cooked to perfection. The serve is one of the best Ive experienced. Portions are big, price is reasonable and food is great. I recommend eating here at least once.

BREAD CAME HARD AND STALE, CHICKEN SALAD HAD BONES IN IT, ONE PERSON ALMOST CHOCKED, ROAST TURKEY WAS HARD AS IF MICROWAVED. HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER REVIEWS CITING SIMILAR THINGS. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNTIL THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER AND OFFER QUALITY FOOD

Table Talk is a place I think of every time someone says "lets get something to eat." Everyone is extremely nice and the atmosphere is very calm. The food is also not typical diner food. It is very good and the service is quick.

Good place, very clean, nice atmosphere and polite staff but its very expensive for diner food. $10 for a turkey club? $8.50 for a bacon egg & cheese sandwich? No thanks.
