Poor customer service. Ordered chicken with broccoli and after 1 hour waiting to be delivered, I received just broccoli. Called back and the person taking ordered claimed that I just ordered broccoli. Waited another hour and he never placed the order. I was pissed and had a bad attitude about that situation. He then finally had someone deliver the order and had the nerve to say to give back the broccoli that was received earlier and it will e an additional dollar difference. When the delivery person arrive I just handed the $1 and didnt return the previous order of broccoli. I waited nearly 3 hours to get my order so why the hell I had to return the order of broccoli for all the inconvenience I went through. Better yet the guy put a restriction on my address because the broccoli was not returned back. Im sure they would have resold it to someone else. Such some great customer service. Will never order from them again.

The only Chinese food spot on Vernon Blvd in long Island city. For a " trendy" area filled with an abundance of pizza places, Thai, Japanese food, bars that serve lunch specials and deli / grill options that are good but pricey. New city China is a great little Chinese food spot that has great food for cheap prices. Food is always on point and made fast and fresh. Service is friendly the place usually gets busy around lunch time from the construction sites around the area but even if you call or walk in to give your order its done the right way and food is always great.

I ordered chicken with broccoli yesterday on July 9, 2014 and the chicken and broccoli was cold. I also ordered wings with french fries and it looked and tasted like it was sitting there in the kitchen because I know the taste of a cooked food that has been sitting there since I had a experience cooking and trying food in my life. I would never eat there again. This was my first and last time. Everyone avoid this place at all cost if value the meaning of food and your health.

While I do not consider myself to be a chinese food connoisseur, and I typically order only a few dishes (fried rice, wonton soup, sesame chicken) I have found this place to be excellent and cheap. This is the best chinese I have had in years (including when I lived in Cleveland and Durham). Their spicy chicken soup is very good.

Theres an employee there named Jen she is always pleasant, sweet and kind. When shes alone and theres no chef to prepare meals she jumps right in and can cook good too! She is very smart and is an excellent college student. Her mom is also very nice. Great food good service and happy people I love this restaurant!!!!!!

Visiting Hunters Pt and Gantry Park for Manhattanhenge, found this location on line. It was exactly what we expected, fast, reasonable and very good take out. Actually the beef and broccoli was excellent- delicious sauce and tender beef. Three ate for under $20, with left overs. Not gourmet, but just what we wanted.

New City is a good Chinese fast food restaurant. I normally order General Tso , Chicken and Broccoli with spicy garlic sauce and Hot and sour soup. Its not gourmet but when you want comfort food at less than $10 per dish its great. How can you go wrong ?

There isnt an option for zero stars, so I am forced to give them a 1. Food is terrible and low quality. They take advantage of the captive LIC audience with little to no Chinese takeout options. Really stay away from this dive.
