Do NOT go on a Friday night unless you get there at 4pm for dinner. Was refereed to this restaurant by my boss and mother in law whom went to high school with the owner. First time there was OK (April 15th). At 6:30pm sat down and was told we cannot put in a dinner order yet, That was fine as we wanted to have a few drinks and appetizers before ordering. Then when it came time to order, were given a list of items that they were out of. Still not a huge deal but a disappointment. On June 3rd arrived and checked in at 6:35, was told about 30-45mins wait... Perfect! as we wanted to have a few drinks outside prior to dinner. At 7:45 my husband went to see how much longer and was told about 30-45mins and noticed that the same people checked in had still not been crossed off yet, which meant we were waiting longer than that. After i noticed several and i mean several tables, counted at least 20 tables empty included 2 patio tables that had been empty for 45 mins, I decided it was time to go. Went up to the front to have them remove our name from the list. Which was done so quickly i dont even think i finished my sentence! I thought maybe i would have received an apology or an explanation at which point i would have stayed provided it was valid. Upon inquiring the empty tables i was told the chef had ordered "Cant sit anymore until he is caught up". Advise -1.) If that is the case, inform patrons of that. People are very understanding as long as they are in the "know" 2.) sit people but let them know they cannot place a dinner order yet, this way they can order their drinks through the waiter/waitress and have a sense of "progress". (compared to sitting on 390 at 5pm) as long as your moving your happy, sitting still for an hour....not so much. Great potential for a summer hot spot as there are not too many places in Rochester that sit on the water.

We had looked at the menu online prior to making a reservation. When we arrived, we got a menu that was one page with not many choices compared to what we saw online. I asked the guy who was seating people ,if that was their whole menu. They didnt even have fish fry on the menu. He said that this was s new menu which they started that evening. I said the prices are quite a bit more than what was online. He said they only went up a couple of dollars. (Ex:. Chicken French, online $13.99, on new menu, $19.99). That is quite increase. They did have fish fry and that is what we ordered. The fish was huge, over cooked and mushy. It was supposed to be haddock, but I would bet it was white fish. The service was terrible. We had to ask for water 3 times. Also we asked one of the kids that works there if we could have some BBQ sauce and he brought us A1 Steak sauce. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not be returning.

On Sunday before labor day our family had a reunion at this restaurant. We went for dinner and made reservations at 2 oclock. Well after we were seated the waitress proceeded to tell us what they didnt have. No clams. Several of us wanted clams. My sister in law and I wanted the scallops. AND guess what, they only had one order of scallops left. Now when you book a dinner at 2oclock you would expect to order from the dinner menu. Well now they tell us that the dinner menu sides wont be ready until 4 oclock. Most of us ordered burgers. I had the misfortune of ordering the scallops. And heres what I got . 3, thats three scallops and a spoon of rice and side salad for $23. I should have known better than to order the last order, but three scallops, "really". I was expecting maybe a pearl, but noooo. The restaurant is clean, the waitress did a nice job but I do not recommend anything more than burgers. .

My friend and I sat in the back room on the high chairs. The view is nice and the room is cool. We both had very good clam chowder with lots of clams. Very tasty. The service was good, the owner, Carol, very attentive and reassuring when I had a dizzy spell. I had the shrimp Gambas (sp) and it was flavorful, hot, and came on top of rice seasoned with garlic, lemon, and curry. I loved it. My friend had salmon au champagne cooked to her liking. She specified how that was and it came exactly as asked. I have eaten at Braddocks Bay Inn a number of times. It has always been good. This year we even had our choir dinner there and all went well. I would highly recommend Braddocks Bay Inn. You can eat outside, on the enclosed porch, inside in a cozy room with booths, or at a more conventional restaurant room of tables adjacent to, but separate from the bar. Very enjoyable!

We have been there numerous times, however we will not be going back any time soon. A restaurant that can not keep up with a Friday night crowd will not make it. It isnt even summer and they were turning people away at 7:00 because the kitchen couldnt keep up. We were told at 6 that there was a 45 min wait, no problem. At 7 we were 2 away from being seated, at 730 we were still 2 away even though people were being seated and there were empty tables. We were told that the kitchen was backed up so they were on "Table hold",-- What, on a friday night. A good manager would have at least sat people down and offered them appetizers while they waited. Not this one, he just stood by and watched while people got upset and walked out the door. People that were seated even got up and walked out.

Went when it first reopened and was great. Now seems the owners have a new manager and its down hill from there, one page menu that dont change at all. The good taste has also gone down hill. Went back several times after the first but now will not go for dinner anymore, the lunch menu is way better than the dinner one. Also was and have been told cant sit outside with just ordering drinks. Have also seen the amount of ppl waiting go backwards to. Seems to be all since they, the owners hired this manager. To bad, hope they see this soon, everyone else seems to see the decline...

Stay away!! Waited over 40 minutes to be seated, to wait over an hour after we ordered for a food to arrive. 3 out of 5 of us were told that what we wanted to order was either not available any more or they do not serve it on Fridays. Waitress was rude and unavailable and when the food FINALLY arrived, my husbands fish was not cooked in the middle. People next to us walked out and the people on the other side of us said they would never come again! Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else!

Stopped going there a month ago for numerous reasons. The food was "ok" at best . I asked employees staff etc to clarify as to what was on the menu for dinner and none had the same answer , when I finally narrowed it down - they were either out of this or didnt serve that or "thats not a dinner entry" . So far so bad . Good luck to them . I wont ever go there again until management and owners get together and fix all the bs . Until then Im boycotting along with half of Hilton .
