I am responding to the online bash of Harrison Bake Shop. The person who ranted about an $8 egg and cheese on a croissant was incorrect to say the least. I made the sandwich to order. It was made with 2 whole eggs, a fresh baked croissant (not frozen and baked) and 2 slices of American cheese. It was not full of shells (ranters incorrect spelling of shelles). The sandwich was ordered on Wednesday morning. On Thursday early afternoon a clerk took a call from the ranter. She was talking loudly and complaining she was charged $8. The clerk asked for her name so that we might appease her. The ranter just said she was going to slander the bakery and hung up. When we researched the sales receipts it was found that she was charged $4 for the egg on the croissant and .50 extra for the cheese. If indeed she was charged $8 why would she just pay and walk away? Why would she wait until Thursday to call and threaten the clerk? If it was full of "shelles". Why would she not return it immediately for another sandwich, a credit or a refund. The ranters actions speak for her. We make to order sandwiches with fresh baked breads, whole eggs or fresh separated egg whites, fresh vegetables, good quality bacon, breakfast sausage, and cheese. The clerks that work in the morning are not kids. We are mature women that have cooked for our families. If the ranter is unhappy she is welcome to come in and we will give her a credit of what she was charged for. Lastly, we are not concerned about the ranter expressing her displeasure with the public. We have been in business for a long time and we have a very good reputation. We stand by our products.

I recently had occasion to have had two cakes from Harrison Bakery. The first, my sister-in-law bought for our parents 90th birthday party. It was white cake with strawberries. The filling wasnt some kind of jelly or jam but actual strawberries! It was delicious! The second cake was for my daughters graduation party. She wanted white cake and chocolate. The suggestions as to what kind of filling and frosting we should use were very helpful. I was also able to email Ralph a picture to use on the cake which was time saving and convenient. Best bakery in Westchester!
