Update: I needed fresh basilfor dinner on Friday, and G&G was closest, so I gave it a try. Disappointed again: Their basil was either rotten or frozen, unusable in any case. I did pick up a couple things, but they arent winning me over. ---- Ive been waiting for years for someplace to open in this location, and I was really quite pleased that it seemed to be pretty much the same as the old Zeytinia. A nice selection of high-end packaged goods, a good deli, some good bread, and the meat and fish look good though I havent tried them yet. The produce isnt fabulous, but thats not so different from other grocery stores in the area. All in all, a convenient place to shop and I fully expected to go there one or twice a week to pick things up, just like I used to do with Zeytinia. Today, Im not so sure. I was there this morning, almost done stocking up on fruit and vegetables for the week. I couldnt find pre-made pizza crusts so I approached a group of three employees to ask where they were shelved. All three of them simply ignored me, looked right through me, and walked away. So, they lost that days sale and they are well on their way to alienating a customer. Green & Grain: You offer me only three things: convenience, quality, and service. I can get things in your store that would take me five or ten minutes drive to find elsewhere. Thats not much of a margin, so youd better focus on quality and service. So far, Im unimpressed: Rude employees and a very limited selection of only slightly better than mediocre produces. Ill probably give you another chance, but not much more than that.

Excellent service, and the food is wonderful and within a reasonable amount. Saves me from cooking for one. Enjoy the point that it is well maintained and the fruit looks wonderful I hope they open it up to Food Stamps...I get assistance, and they so far are not taking my card.
