I dont know what the rave is about at this place to be honest. Ive been to plenty of buffets in my life, and this one is in the top 3 worst buffets, ever! For starters, the food plain out sucks. Now I know buffet food isnt top notch; its bought cheap, made in mass amounts, and left out for everyones picking, but this food was just down right horrible. Everything tasted fake, even down to the damn brownies (which I named "fig brownies" because they tasted like fig newtons). The variety there was pretty awful as well, and consisted mainly of Chinese food and maybe one or two things of "American food". Yes, its Chinese owned, but most buffets are and I have never encountered such a lack of different food choices as I did there. Secondly, their prices skyrockted. They use to be $10.99 for dinner for an adult, and now theyre a whopping $15.99 for their crappy food. Drinks are $1.75 with free refills, which is fine and dandy. My issue is, I looked up this buffet in advance to see their prices and came upon the first link that popped up, which was of their Google+. Unfortunately for me and my cousin, they never updated their menu on there, or on a few other sites, which really pisses me off and I find super unprofessional. If youre going to change your menu prices, change it on the damn websites please! Lastly, the staff just plain out sucked. The waiter that sat us down (mind you on a dirty, sticky table) and asked us for our drinks NEVER asked, or manually refilled our drinks and just kept sweeping around us as we ate. Some other guy picked up our dishes, and then at the end of it all when we paid our bill, he hovered around us waiting to put down a tip. When he finally saw that I wasnt going to give one, he literally tapped my receipt and said "Tip?" and I said, "Uh, no" and then he gave me a stink face about it and rolled his eyes. Excuse me, its MY decision whether or not I want to tip you, NOT yours. How unprofessional? I basically SERVED myself, and the service was horrible. Why the hell would I tip? Whatever the case, Ill never step foot in this crappy buffet again. I personally miss the one in Mahopac, as it was cheaper, more variety, and better staffed.

Got there on 11:45 Saturday morning. It was quiet then, having just opened, but soon a diverse array of families showed up with surprisingly well-behaved children. I hadnt had sushi in two years, and this was a pleasant way to re-introduce myself to it. I got to introduce a young lady to what wasabi was, and to advise her that the pickled ginger is the antidote if one overindulges. The sushi was pretty good (Im not an expert) and the hot offerings were also quite palatable. The veggies were crunchy and the meats had the right texture. The shrimp in the scampi had that snap I enjoy so much. It was the middle of Summer, so I didnt try the soups, but they offer a variety and Im looking forward to trying the seafood bisque on a cold Winter day. Unlike many such buffets, the soy sauce was offered next to the sushi on the buffet, rather than at the table. (Im no soy sauce gourmet, tho I hear some people are as demanding as any wine expert.) Also, there was no, well, I dont know the official name for the genre of music that many sushi buffets have, but this had none. (I dont mind either way. But when its playing in other places I always wonder what theyre singing about.) Also unlike a few similar places, the tables were spaced apart well enough to allow for people getting up and getting more without bumping into people behind them. Overall, it seemed a well-planned operation. If their weekday offerings are like this, I think this would be a pretty good place to take your officemates for lunch.

Im at this place now. I paid my entire bill for the food. Whenever I asked for something to the waiters, would give me a nasty look but still go and do it. All they did was just get us a drink and some tea. Well and pick up the plates we were finished with. At the end I paid and put a tip on the table and one of them comes to the table (Joe) and picks up the tip I gave him. ($4) thats what I felt like giving him for his service. He was so arrogant and said to me THATS ALL!???? He was so disrespectful to ask me In front of everyone. As he is walking back to the other waiter, he tells him only $4 and the other one says shes cheap. I had a terrible experience and very dissapoainted at the waiters attitude. I also didnt enjoy the food, it is nothing like it was before. I will NEVER come back to this place.!!!

Upon opening, there is no wait, as the day progresses, a line can occur, enter, to the left is your meal tables, to your right are patrons, straight ahead are the large picture size windows. The closer you sit to the buffet tables, the more prevalent the steam, so if steam vapor annoys you, seat further back. Lunch specials run into dinner time. Lunch is 11-4 then dinner 4- closing, after 4 you pay dinner price. The place after 5 becomes really busy, and food is always abundantly high in the pans that are kept Hot. They are always keeping the buffet tables clean and they do remove plates, eventually. Soda is extra. But it is all you can drink for one price, Diners should adopt this idea. The place does have a classy look to it in an oriental way. Try em.

Probably the best non-upscale Buffet Ive ever been to. I go here every couple of weeks with a close friend and always enjoy the copious amounts of food and the grand selection. Pretty typical fare for a Chinese buffet, though I find the quality to be better than many of their competitors throughout Westchester County. The servers are adequate. I have been coming here for years, and have built a rapport with the owner. I made a comment to her several months ago that she should smile more and seem more appreciative of her customers and to her credit, she seems to say hello more and be more interactive with the guests. I always look forward to this meal. And they serve Coke as well, which is big with me!

The Chinese food at King Buffet bears the same relationship to real Chinese food as does MacDonalds to Ruths Chris steakhouse. Hardly the best but reasonably tasty and plenty of it at low prices. Many of the items are deep fried and salty. Just the thing to appeal to teen agers. There are some real Chinese type dishes of adequate quality. A Japanese section has fresh cooked shrimp, and mass produced sushi. The food is filling and cheap. If you are selective, you can get a decent and nutritious lunch for the price of a couple of Big Macs. The trick is to avoid filling your plate with the deep fried stuff. Kids love the self serve ice cream machine.

Tables half set up. Sat my son and I at a sticky dirty table when there are 11 clean tables open. There was no cracker set up for the crab legs. I brought back to my table or sever around the empty resturant on a Tuesday to ask for one. So I walked to a side station and grabbed one out of a bucket of at least 15 of them.. The sever saw me... Came up to me grabbed the cracker out of my hand and said use this one. I asked why? He said "cause that is from the wrong station." REALLY? I didnt use any tool after that. Just my hands and Lost my appitite shortly after. Now I remember why I havent been here in YEARS...
