The food was fine but I can NOT even believe that they FLAT OUT REFUSED to take back an appetizer my daughter ordered for her meal but didnt like. The waitress NEVER came to see if everything was ok & when the manager came by to check on us & we told her the problem she literally had NO response. When I said wed like to send the item back she acted like I had two heads. She said, "Why didnt she order blue cheese or ranch (wings)?" and I said, "Because she didnt want dressing." She literally argued with me. Finally I just said, "Never mind." Next the waitress came over to ask what the problem was. Again, I politely repeated the problem. She said, "She already ate it," motioning to the ONE bite out of ONE wing. "She had to take a bite to know she didnt like it," I responded incredulously. Again, "Never mind. Ill just pay for it."..............Upon paying for it the manager took the opportunity to not only bring it up again but to continue ARGUING with us. I had to leave. I just simply could not take the attitude, the argumentative personality, & the fact that she would not let it lie after her customers- who will NEVER go back- already agreed to pay for food they didnt like.

The food is great but the service is awful. The place was practically empty yet we stood at the door for 5 mins because the employees were at the pass chatting. The lady finally saw us and jumped like oh shoot! While we ate the curly haired cashier was rude to a man cashing out who only wanted a 5 dollar bill. And as he tried to state thats why he gave her a 10 she just loudly said THANK YOU rude and dismissingly. This was not our first time at marvis and this woman always seems to be rude to someone. Shes lucky she hasnt been rude to me yet. Our server was friendly but she was the only person who was. The host and cashier suck. Your host brought it down to a 4 star. Your cashier should consider herself lucky I didnt give a 1.

We were very disappointed. Pros- staff was very friendly and food came out fast Cons- food quality ranged from terrible to ok. Ordered strawberries and pancakes for my 6 year old, and the strawberries were in terrible shape. Very beat up and most of them had parts of the stem still on. They didnt do a good job trimming and some of the berries should have been thrown away instead of served. My wife said the cheese in her omelette did not taste good. I had a waffle, which was fine, but it had strawberries which as noted above were in bad shape. My orange juice was watery. Bacon was fine, but on the thin side. Prices were high for a diner, but thats to be expected for the area.

I write this review with a heavy heart, because my family and I have been going to Marvis for years and have always loved it. However, when we tried to have breakfast there this morning, we waited 40 minutes (double the time they told us) only to watch them give away the next available table inside to a party that had just walked up. When confronted, the staff continued to tell us it would only be "a few more minutes." We then decided to give up and left with empty stomachs. I am so disappointed in the terrible customer service we experienced this morning, and even more saddened to cross this favorite off of our list. Customers deserve better than this.

We stumbled on this diner and absolutely loved it....we had stopped at other restrauants and they were either too expensive or you needed reservations we stopped here and got dinner. The plates are loaded with food and everything was excellent and inexpensive. We also had dessert and wow what a plateful for a piece of Strawberry Cheesecake. We liked it so much we went back the next day for breakfast and left both times very satisfied. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Wildwood! We are going back in Aug. 2011 and will defintely be visiting this diner again!!!

Great place! Service was excellent, food was very good. Portions are very large and everything came fast and hot as a good diner should! We had all breakfast food- French Toast, Waffles, Pancakes, and an Omelette... everything was great! My 4 year old had the Waffle and we asked for some strawberries and cream on them ( like she saw in the picture) and it came out with a pile of berries and a happy face drawn in a mound of whipped cream- she was thrilled and so were we! Great place for a quick, good, not overpriced meal!

TL;DR: Delicious food, good service, low prices, and great parking. This diner was amazing. We have been driving past this diner for years and always said we would go, but we finally did it. The menu was enormous: exactly what you would expect from a diner. All day breakfast. The food came out within 15 minutes of ordering. The service was great and very quick. Good at checking up on the food. The menu was extremely impressive with food such as: Burgers, meatloaf, soups, desserts, french toast, and so much more.

Diner type eating with breakfast served all day (and night) in NYC Diner style. Dont be fooled by the 1950s look, its a theme for this section of Wildwood. Its clean, friendly, efficient and newly renovated. Not a single complaint during any one of my 15 Summers, spent there. *Note: Dont mind the line, out the door, its worth the wait and theyll have a table for you in 15 minutes or less. It can be a pretty scary looking sight from the street, especially on a Sunday morning during tourist season. Enjoy!

This diner is fantastic. We stumbled upon it one night in search of something other then the typical pizza and fries boardwalk meal. They have a decent selection of food. We were there past closing time with no worry of being rushed. The meal was delicious, presented VERY nicely, dessert was amazing, AND its very inexpensive. A great meal on the cheap. I cannot wait to visit again!

Marvis Diner is sssooooooo good! Debbie was our waitress, so attentive and personable. She really made us feel at home and even sang Happy Birthday to my Auntie whos birthday is today. The pancakes are exceptional, tasting just like my grandmothers used to. This is definitely a perfect breakfast destination in Wildwood, now I see why its number one. Thank you Debbie!!! :)

Wow portions are huge even the kids portions. The food we had was excellent and we had a party of 8 so a good variety of food was ordered. Space was a cramped but we ate outside which is a little more spacious. Nicole "the teacher" was our waitress and made the experience even better super attentive even while the place was packed and i do mean packed. Great experience

Stopped on our way home from a week in Wildwood. We were greeted quickly, sat at a table and ordered. Food came out fast and hot. Large portions. The Jimmy Crossaintwich was great! All three of us enjoyed our meal. Not overpriced as many of the restaurants here are. Definitely recommend. Arrive early as this place quickly becomes packed with vacationers.

I found this place based on Google recommendations and I have to say I was pretty happy with the choice. I ordered a vegetarian omelette with home fries and rye bread. The omelette was good, nothing spectacular. The home fries were cooked in butter and tasted delicious. The waitress was very friendly and the price of the food was pretty decent.
