Came for dinner with lifelong friends, expecting a decent meal and a good time. Place smelled like bleach, table was very dark, very little light. Two of us got the crab buffet, the other got the whole lobster. The waitress never removed our menus as she served our meals on top of them. Later she came to remove them after our food was on top of them. Although several items were offered on the buffet, only the crab legs were edible. The lobster was served whole, not cracked or split as described and required a lot of work. We expected it to be prepped and ready to eat, but it wasnt. We were then instructed to refer to our messy placements for instructions on how to crack the lobster. Halfway thru the meal, my friends lobster meat, which she worked so hard to get was taken by our waitress and dumped in the trash. To their credit, they did give her another lobster- hence the one star rating. The next night we called to gain clarity on how the lobsters were being served and were told they are cracked and split and ready to eat and the waitress would assist you if needed. This obviously was not the case.

When we arrived they seemed annoyed that we had a 3 yr old with us. They seated us in the very back with no view. The waitress we had was cold and uninterested in being friendly, and she kept disappearing for long periods of time. When they brought out the bread it was very stale. My son ate it but my husband complained. The lobster bisque was alright but nothing special. The main thing was the calamari we ordered was like shoe rubber! It was so chewy I was grossed out - and I am a calamari lover. I dont remember ever having calamari that rubbery even at lower end restaurants! When we sent it back they said the manager would come see us, but he never did. They did not seem very concerned, comped it off our check and brusquely let us go. We didnt order a replacement item because our toddler was done eating at that point. Disappointing experience.

Day trip to SIC yesterday, 4 of us for dinner around 5pm. Ordered a few apps and entrees for everyone, apps were decent but nothing to rave about. The comes dinner, lobster mac and cheese was cold, very small amount of lobster to go along with that. They took it back and reheated i guess, so whatever, but then me and another person get crab cakes. 1 fried and 1 broiled, the cakes were mostly all filler, and not even sure what the filler was(i think it was mashed potatoes). Possibly the worst crab cakes weve ever had, we both ate a bite to try them then threw the rest out. To set it all off, the table next to us had to send back undercooked chicken fingers for their child. I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone, nor be returning again...not worth the price and there are much better restaurants in the area.

This was the worst $145+ meal for 2 adults and 1 ten year old that I have ever had the displeasure of paying for. Waitress was a completely horrible, unfriendly, unorganized, forgetful person that made sitting there for damn near 2 hours for 2 salads and a burnt (over heat lamp) lobster tail for $30 about impossible. I would NEVER go back and NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. My 10 years son got a $15 salad that the waitress didnt even bring a to-go container over to pack up. He wasnt important enough to even ask if he wanted to take home his leftovers. At the end, while waiting for a to-go container and bags, I asked for another drink. Shes brings a whole new round for an additional $24+ on top of the bill. In conclusion, I wouldnt go back for a free meal and a blow job.

Went on Thursday night at 6:30 and were seated immediately without a reservation. After ordering, salads came out quickly, but our order took 35 minutes from time of ordering. I had sesame crusted tuna steak which was a nice meal and I recommend that. We also had blackened salmon which was crusted but not well seasoned. It was also half the size of the broiled salmon. Vodka sauce on pasta was watery. Two for $33 mid week special was good price. Broiled salmon was not seasoned - just put under the broiler and served. Green beans veggie was so-so. Nice ambience and views. Waitress was polite but promised food out "soon" at 20 minutes in but then disappeared until food served at 35 mins. Saw some very large groups which may have affected service.

My first visit this year was a pleasant surprise. My most recent visit was also a surprise. The menu has been changed again to include a mix of seafood, beef and pasta. Our entrees were mostly seafood and were in the upper price range. All of our food was average with little taste. Service was good. The prices have changed to summer fare and have been recently increased to an average entree price of $18.00 (low) and $25-29 (high) and also feature limited 2 for 1 diners during mid-week at $21.50 for two, a good deal. Great cocktails and good music made for an all over pleasant evening

Theyll try to convince you everything is fresh and caught locally. Really, almost everything here comes hundreds of miles away from US Foods Inc.. The rolls were definitely not fresh. The salad was like something from a cheap diner. After waiting for two hours for food it finally arrived. I got the crab cakes with French fries which turned out surprisingly good. One of my other guests got a flounder which came out cold. My mom got the fresh scallops which were tasteless. Overall not a good experience and would not be going back soon. Not worth the $30+ a person...

Early bird special had some discrepancies. Dessert brought out didnt come with it (rice pudding and apple crisp were the only early bird options), and waitress didnt mention it until she had brought a tray of other desserts out. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese for the Early Bird, and there was two pieces of lobster the size of my thumbnail with bland macaroni. Apple crisp dessert was cold and half frozen. Wouldnt come back for the amount charged. I have had worse food, but no food that costs this much should be so poor.

My wife and I visit the Loft every Friday night for the last 3 years. with the new ownership the restaurant has become the hotspot of the island..With superior menu changes( meals under $15) and 2 for 1 meals @ $19.99 all week long, plus 1/2 price appetizers at the bar from 4 to 10 pm...unbeatable!! The bands that play on Fri. & Sat. are excellent and get the crowd dancing right away. Reduced drink pricing has also turned heads in the business...Check out the new club of SIC, and enjoy!!.

Place has dim lighting on the back, live music in front with better ambience. Draft beer was delicious which says they clean their draft lines (maybe). 5 stars is because the food wAs effing delicious. Really good. Expensive kinda but you get two meals worth of food. In our experience, sat down and waited an extended normal of time because of something But the manager was aware and brought out our food and bought us a round of drinks. 5 stars for giving and caring. Boom!
