I was talking with a friend one day about how the beef Ive been buying from a local large supermarket nevers seems to have a lot of flavor and many times is on the tough side despite how I cook it. I was told that she had gone to Hayeks and bought really good beef repeatedly and the price was competitive. I went there and asked the butcher for Flat Iron steaks. He quickly stopped what he was doing and brought out this Big Hunk O Beef and carved out the steaks for me. He was friendly and informative. I asked about the Tri-Tip steak he had already packaged, I nerver tried it before, and he encouraged me to try it some time. I bought the Tri-Tip with the Flat Irons, we had company that day. Both were simply grilled over hardwood charcoal. Both were absolutley delicious and tender. I was impressed with the market. People are friendly and helpful. I went on to try breakfast and lunch there. Great sandwiches, salads already prepared and for breakfast, homemade sausage patties. Not over seasoned or salty, Just Right. Yes, Ill be back again and again. I dont see myself buying beef from the supermarket anymore. Hey, why not support a local small business especially one that deserves it. Gonna try hambuger meat next. I was told that too is a revelation.

I/we really like this place. So happy to have found it. Must eat here for breakfast once a week or more. Very friendly most days. Consistently good breakfast sandwiches. Very generous on the fillings. Great pricing on quality food. Much more than just a deli. They have great home made offerings. From cakes to full ready to heat up family portion dinners. Cant beat this place. One of kind in the area. I think for the area, this is in a class of its own in my view. Thank you Hayeks Market for being there. You are one of my last trustworthy eateries of the area I can honestly not worry about the cleanliness and safety aspects of food prep. All food handling is obviously taken professionally and carefully. Excellent value. This place is the perfect of example of you get what you pay for. The market prices may be a little higher, but the value is superior to most any other option in town. Stop in and check them out. They deserve our praise and support as one of the best examples of a properly run food business establishment! Keep up the great work guys!

I desperately want to love Hayeks Market as so many people I know in this area rave about the place. I am unable to understand why everyone likes this place so much. The food is sub par, and usually sits under heat lamps, which is basically anything on their lunch special list. Freshness is not something Hayeks can boast about. While they do have a large selection of uncooked meats in their market the prices are outrageous. Id much rather spend $30 at Sussex Meat Packing than at Hayeks. Hayeks breakfast buffet is very good, then again how can you screw up scrambled eggs. I do find the breakfast pricing to be reasonable, although I get the same thing every time and at times I pay $4 and sometimes $8, depends on the perplexed employee weighing out my home fries / eggs / bacon. I am giving them 3 stars because the breakfast is good just wish pricing was consistent.

I brought my daughter here for some ice cream. It was terrible. We got a banana split with vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream. The ice cream itself was very bad. The hot fudge was the worst Ive ever had, and the whipped cream was junk from can. The ice cream and toppings portions were huge, and basically drowned the banana, ruining the entire concept of a banana split. Im not surprised to find another horrible Sussex County culinary experience... Im just depressed. What is it about this county that residents keep giving money to places that serve up low quality foods?

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Sussex County. Everything... EVERYTHING is good. They do baking on premises and their cakes are fantastic. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner food have always been crazy fresh and delicious!

This is probably the best meat market anywhere. The selection and quality are amazing, butchers are especially helpful and the store also carries a large selection of delicacies.

Excellent meats, hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, salad bar, prepared meals, and desserts. Large selection of gourmet food. Family owned. This is where the locals go.

They were extremely rude over the phone when I tried to place an order and made me feel like they did not want my business. I will never order from them again.
