As other recent reviews have mentioned, the customer service is definitely horrible. After waiting over an hour, watching customers getting seated and receiving their food before us, our food arrived cold. Completely cold. Asked for a manager and got a visit from one man, who offered to re-heat our meals. I disagreed with this solution and sent all five meals back. We waited for the bill for our beverages and was presented with an $80 bill! After inquiring why we were being charged $80, it was explained by the same manager that the restaurant has a minimum charge per person, then turns to my 75 YEAR-OLD aunt and said she was "paying for the privilege to sit there". I couldnt believe what I was hearing. When I asked for another supervisor, the man told me that he was "the only person there" that I needed to talk to. I recommended that he remove the minimum charges and I was more than happy to pay for my drinks and even tip the waitress. This was not received well. The manager leaned down to get very close to my face and in a threatening tone, said he "did not like being told what to do". Suddenly another man approached the table and introduced himself as the owner. I politely explained the predicament and he said the same thing, we needed to pay for the privilege of sitting there and if I refused, he would call the police. At this point I was horrified, we had not only my aunt there, but an 8 month old baby with us and Im being threatened by "management". This was supposed to be a very special family night and it was a disaster. I asked for the owners business card and full name, but he refused to tell me. Ive never had an Owner try and hide his identity, which I thought odd. Begrudgingly, we paid the check (and left a tip for the server) and all got up to leave. Both the manager and the alleged Owner followed my family to the parking lot, yelling at us not to come back and that I should "go back to Wisconsin". Disrespectful and immature. A nice p.s. to this horrible story is that the police were called on us. The officer listened to us and agreed there was no reason for the police to be involved since we paid and left. Unreal. The Board of Health is well aware of this restaurant, as they have been there several times investigating bugs and food-bourne illnesses. Approach with caution and eyes wide open. I wish there was an option for NEGATIVE RATINGS.

Went there on Jan. 1 2014. What a mistake. The prices are way high for the place. I think they need to improve and update many things. My wife and I ordered the same steak and done the same way which was Medium Well. Mine came out good all but a small piece/section which was undercooked...not a problem. My wifes steak was so undercooked it looked like Medium Rare. She sent it back twice and it was still partially undercooked. We waited about 10-15 minutes for a manager to come to the table because we had a coupon. The waitress said the manager had to come to the table since we had a coupon. When he finally came over we told him about the problem with my wifes steak. He said he was sorry that it happened and wasnt going to do anything more. I then complained about the waitress about only providing one refill of our soft drinks. She was standing right next to the manager and her response was "You only get one refill". Well since I am not a regular customer and never will be maybe she should have explained that when we ordered. I said to the manager that the waitress has no customer service skills. After talking to the manager for over 5 minutes we finally decided to give each of us at the table a $20.00 off coupon good for the next visit. First the coupon expires in Feb. second do you really think I am going to go back after this experience. Third I live in Florida and wont be back in the area to June. If you want bad service, bland steaks and want to pay more than what the dinners worth, then this is the place for you...Not me . I will never go back to this place. I rather go to Outback Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse even Chilis before I go back to this place. The management doesnt know how to solve problems. The waitress never reported the problems to the manager about the steak going back twice. One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Please save your money and time dont go there. One other thing with the coupon...why does a manger have to come to the table for a coupon? Why dont they have the manager go into the system with the waitress and take off the coupon there this way you dont keep people waiting. Oh yeah this place dont care about their customers..my bad.

The Pub is far and away my favorite restaurant. Its unique in every way. Its been around since long before I was born (since 1950). Its survived burning to the ground and once going out of business. Through all of that nothing much has changed at all. One of the first unique things about The Pub is the HUGE dining room. The slightly medeival themed room seats over 500 people at a time yet its still quiet. Ive never heard anything above a low murmur and there is always plenty of room to move around as you go to one of the two salad bars. Speaking of the salad bars, they are fantastic. They include blocks of cheese from which you can cut off slices, various kinds of cake breads (in case the delicious crusty bread on your table isnt enough for you) fruit, applesauce, along with a wide variety of salads and salad ingredients. However, I usually skip past most of this stuff and head right to the giant bowl of Caesar salad and pile my plate high. The Pubs Caesar salad is one of the best Ive had. The always fresh salad is made especially delicious by the plentiful anchovies scattered throughout. The focal point of the dining room is the row of six coal fired ovens where chefs in big white hats turn out fantastic steaks. The pub has a fair number of entrees ranging from seafood to chicken, to all sorts of steaks. I, however, typically stick to the best filet mignon Ive had at any restaurant. Its served with massive onion rings and a potato. I recommend the twice baked stuffed potato. I also recommend that you ask for some of their browned onions to go with your steak. Theyre free, but you have to ask for them. In another unique touch, your steak will arrive at your table on a cart to be taken from a heated tray and plated right at the table. If you want something a little more unique, try my fathers favorite, the carpetbagger. Its a filet spread with crabmeat and hollandaise sauce. The only negative is the location. Although, its certainly never stopped me from going. The Pub is located at the maze of an intersection that used to be Airport Circle. It might take you a few tries to get in the correct lane. Of course, this should be no problem for a practiced New Jersey driver.

We went last night to celebrate our anniversary with our children. We were so excited to take our kids to this family favorite. In order to enter the building we had to walk through a sea of cigarette smoke from patrons standing by the front doors. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated, after being told that the wait was 20 minutes. When we were finally seated, it took our waitress over 5 minutes to greet us to take our drink order. We told her we were ready to place our dinner order and she was aggravated that we were ready. The salad bar was disappointing as it was not fully stocked & maintained. At one point our waitress told us that our food would be only 2-3 more minutes which ended up being another 25 minutes. She never checked on us, and could not be found to refill our drinks. Meanwhile, all the tables surrounding us (2 of which had seated after us) had received their dinner entrees, desserts, drink, checks and had already left. After waiting well over an hour for our food, it was mediocre at best. Only after presenting our check did our waitress become kind, personable and apologetic. The lack of customer service was obviously noticed by the floor manager who approached us upon our leaving to apologize and thank us for our patronage. I have to say that this experience was truly disappointing. The Pub has been a long-standing family favorite dating back over 40 years, we were hoping to pass the tradition onto our children. I am very sad to say that I honestly dont know if we will every go back.
