Drip is more like my favorite coffee houses in Vienna, Austria than is Starbucks, although, alas, there is now a Starbucks on its main shopping street, right across from the Opera--Starbucks being perhaps the only places in Europe where you can get coffee to go. I once tried to get mobile coffee at a regular Viennese coffee house and they simply did not know how to do it. Back to our mini-Vienna--Drip coffee is stronger, more complex and comes with a better presentation than the Starbucks versions. For fellow readers and writers I note that Drip is quieter than Starbucks and the customers seem a little more appreciative of the difference between a genuine coffee house and a gossip center--that may be harsh but decible level is everything! Bravo for the Drip, a little piece of the Ringstrasse!

Im always on the look out for coffee shops that serve coffee in read ceramic cups. I just moved to Madison and truly am not in need of a coffee shop because I make coffee at home, but when I want a coffee shop experience Drip has it. They have very friendly staff, allow you to order, sit down, they bring you your drink, and then you can pay as you leave. All the espresso is ristretto and they know how to make a real caffè macchiato. They have art on the walls, which the friendly barista told me they change every couple weeks, and are a family owned business. Its nice to know that theres a place I can go when I want a relaxing coffee shop experience. I will probably make it a weekly tradition!

This is the first review Ive ever written in all my years. Ive had this account for maybe 8-10 years? Anyway, I felt compelled to let everyone know that I drink some aromatic and refreshing iced coffee completely black from this coffee shop. Its delicious. I always go here if I cant brew my own for some reason. The baked goods are ALL amazing, if youre lucky enough to get them fresh you have to try all of them, theyre all good and you need to decide which is best for yourself BECAUSE THEYRE SO GOOD. Friendly staff for sure.

One of the few real Barista cappuchino places in this large part of New Jersey but they are a bit pricey which really adds up when paired with a pastry..which by the way are very few but very good. Same price as if they were located in Greenwich Village New York City. Be warned..If ordering any larger Cappuchino you will be disappointed as they put just one shot of Espresso in it, so it requires you to purchase an extra shot for it to be what it should be. But we go out of the way to come here.

Drip is just right for me. Their espresso drinks are amazing -- enough so that I dont go to Starbucks any more unless Drip is closed. Their cakes and scones are also wonderful. The art is pleasant, and the atmosphere is just right to go sit and read or get some work done. The people there (not just those that work there; the other customers as well) are friendly too. My biggest complaint: they close too early. But I guess the staff needs to have a life too.

What a gift that the college town of Madison actually has a decent coffee shop that ISNT Starbuck!. This place takes coffee to a whole other level - the espresso drinks are some of the best Ive ever had anywhere - and my standards are high. Friendly staff, nice ambiance. Just wish theyd up the sophistication of their music choices a bit... (the 80s pop they often - though not always - play gets a little annoying). DRIP ROCKS!

If you are a serious espresso drinker, then simply walk in, take a look at the machine, the grinders and how they are being used, and ask for a double short. Talk with the guy from the other side of the pond who runs the place and see how nice he is, and how he takes pride in what he does. This is a rare solid espresso in this part of Jersey.

Real great spot for real great coffee drinks. Thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks made by courteous knowledgeable baristas. ( Bonus: sometimes they have individual slices of the wonderfully light and airy Philadelphia Fluff cake from nearby Natales Summit Bakery! )

Tried for the first time today. Wow! The medium body blend was very good. I wasnt expecting the complexity but enjoyed it more and more as I sipped it down. I believe the medium roast is a blend of Brazilian, Ethiopian and one or two others. Pleasantly surprised!

This place is always great. Chill coffeehouse atmosphere, delicious drinks, and they also serve food! Their selection of tea is large and all their coffee is great! I recommend the cold brew in the summer and a simple espresso any other time. Drip is awesome!

The best place around. Their coffee is superior to any of big name coffee place. I drink it black with no sugar so I taste the full taste of coffee. Dark roast. The servers are awesome and Rupert is one of a kind. Love this place-relaxing also.

Best Cortado ever!! Coffee of the best quality, great and fresh ingredients, awesome pound cakes and great chocolate truffles. What else can you ask for? Oh, yes, the also exhibit paintings of local artists. I found some that are really good.
