i am a truck driver from out of town i came in to place my order and wanted scalions added the guy had a fit after he walked to the back to place my order the lady that was standing there said she was treated the same way because she was allergic and needed it cooked a certain way she said she would not return after he came out with my order i questioned the bill he was very demanding for his money like it was the only thing he cared about i paid him though then suggested he should at least try to smile at his customers he said dont tell me what to do that he has been doing this for 40 years and does not care honest the food was terrible i had beef with chinese cabbage it was tasteless i feel sorry for the local people that have do deal with this creep i think most people i come across in jersey are pretty nice

I here all the time because its the only decent place in the area. Tonight I called the order in for pickup and I was just told 15 minutes and he hung up. I called back and I asked for the total. When he gave it to me it was significantly higher than normal. I asked for a breakdown of my order and the guy told me if that I didnt like the prices to order from somewhere else! I was shocked and just explained that I come in a lot and the total was different than I was used to. He yelled the individual prices and I didnt hear the last one. When I asked him to repeat it he hung up on me. Never Again.

Ive live here since 1996, I use to like the food very much but the last three times I got takeout the food was really poorly prepared. I had pork fried rice, roasted pork in black bean sauce, fried dumplings..the fried rice was dry and you could not find the pork, the roast pork was 99% Hugh chunks of onion with hardly any roast pork, and the pieces were very fatty, the dumplings were very chewy..the price was no bargain...never again...manager had the personality like he wanted to be elsewhere.

Always has been #1 amongst all Chinese restaurants in Southern Monmouth County and this area of Mercer County! Located conveniently across Rt 130 from the Americana within the Dollar Store strip mall, Hunan Houses food is always fresh, flavored exactly to order, and as busy as it may appear, dont be discouraged. Youll be seated very quickly. And dont misunderstand, they do NOT rush you out!!! The service is 5 star, the food is 5 star. And Ive been a customer since 1998!

I had a bad experience here and will not be returning. The chickens taste, texture and uneven temperature indicated to me that it had likely been microwaved, the broccoli was cold and the prices did not match the low quality of the food. The employees were kind and attentive and the atmosphere was inviting, but we did not feel good about spending our money here, considering the meal we were served.

This is hands-down been our familys favorite place for Chinese food. We have celebrated many birthdays and family dinners here. They have the best eggrolls, crispy orange beef, boneless spareribs and apricot duck sauce that they serve with wonton crisps on your table. The place is beginning to look a bit dated but the food is consistently awesome.

Nice atmosphere and attentive staff, but the food was low quality and tasted old and reheated. The salty, processed sauces did not help hide that the ingredients werent fresh. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Disappointed in the quality of the food recently. Shrimp which in the past have been supreme now needed to be cleaned (a turnoff for me). I will never again order shrimp here. So far other food has been okay.
