Mediocre. It used to be a steak house, and a diner before that. the menu seems to be almost half each. Both were pretty good at what they were. The higher priced menu items may be good, I dont know. Since they call themselves a tavern, I wanted a tavern burger.I started with the mac and cheeze. I was hoping for something good, but it was pretty much an imitation of kraft. not good, not bad, mediocre. Then I orders a french burger. it had fried onions on it. I dont know why that makes it french. And choice of cheese, none french. No bri or blue. I ordered the cheddar. It came with a minimal amount of shredded cheddar on it. and a little plastic thing of ketchup on the side, like the fill it yourself at a fast food joint like arbys. not appropriate for a place calling itself a restaurant. Lately restaurants have been sending me well done burgers when I order medium. I was explicit that this made me unhappy when I ordered and explained I wanted it pink on the inside, the waiter said he understood. I recieved well done anyway. Had I not been clear I would have chalked it up to a misunderstanding. I sent it back. I received a medium the second time. It was bland. Edible, but not what I was wanting for, a tasty tavern burger. the ambience was leftover from the steak house, and very nice. I wonder if the higher priced items (my burger and fries were about $10-15, and the mac and cheeze $5) in the $25-$35 range were a step up, but given my experience I wouldnt chance spending that much. Nearby is a good tavern restaurant that has been there a few years that I know has good burgers, and will probably go there instead next time.

Beautiful interior! Try the Lemon Chicken pasta. Absolutely fantastic. Great customer service, very attentive, polite, waiter. This could have been because I had lunch here on a Wednesday, and it wasnt very crowded. FYI, you cant order the braised short rib sandwich for lunch because it takes so long to prepare, which was a little disappointing, but cant wait to go back for dinner and try it, knowing that it has to cook for hours on end! Also, wish they had regular unsweetened iced tea. They only serve unsweetened peach, which was ok. Overall, a very good experience. Would recommend.

Absolutely awful. No waitstaff, just one guy who seemed to be the manager / owner. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone before coming over to the table. Food was ok I guess. No major complaints. We had burgers and a chicken sandwich, so not much to mess up. Fries were good. Dark, no one there, and has the feeling of a place thats just about to go out of business. Wont be going back.

I have eaten here many times in the past few months and the food is very good. It is consistent each time I come. Nik has changed something for the better and I think he has hit on a winner with the steakhouse. Reasonable prices and consistently good food.

exelent food. great service. they were super friendly. and it was the best meal weve had out in a long time. I will come back very soon. you could tell the seafood was fresh. I cant wait to come back and try some of the other meals.
