Had a question regarding their " fresh" Angus burger its a dollar more than the Frozen one they sell. The manager said its really Angus beef I can assure you cause the box says so. Personally I believe in truth of the menu. They are not hand packing the Angus burger. Its not fresh It comes frozen and looks just like the cheeper burger on the menu when it comes out of the Kitchen . The manager said " They are fresh! We get them frozen in a box and then thaw them out. Your not going to find any place with a fresh unfrozen burger. Good luck trying to find that around here." Well Miss Manager Lady I have! Just up the road. Lets see. Log Cabin, Humpty Dumpty, Hunters Lodge, and a bunch of other places around the Belvidere Dinner. Nationally at Wendys I was not happy to hear her response since I have over 35 years in the business and have had formal training at the better places than the Belvidere Dinner. Hope this constructive review will help them improve their business. Ive seen lots of these places and its sad cause the food could be so good and they could still make the food cost percentage month after month.They could have a packed parking lot round the clock. Be glad to offer my experience for a consultation fee.

Ive been going to the Belvidere Diner for some time but Mothers Day was it for me. Not only was our dinner incorrectly served, the new waiter barely came back to our table asking us for refills of our drinks. The food was not good for most of the people in my group, including myself. The cheese omelets tasted awful, one set of toast was totally burnt, childrens menu food size was given when not asked for, roast beef was just matter on a dish, no roasted vegetables were served with what was suppose to be a hot open roast beef dish, dirty dishes were not cleared until another waitress came by asked to take the dishes from our table. We waited approximately 1 hour in total from the time we got there until we got our food. Other people came in, were served, ate and left before we were even served. Quite annoying when youre looking forward to a decent meal and end up eating nothing. Will no longer be going there. Another friend of mine went last week and said this "new" waiter told him he couldnt get the prime rib cause they were "out" of it and offered something else yet the table next to him ordered prime rib and got it??!!!!!

Im not the type to rate places or post my thoughts but I NEED to express my disgust for the quality of food and beverages at this diner. My family of 4 just left this diner and none of us enjoyed our meals at all. The soda was flat and the food was either cooked twice over or just poorly made, from the appitizers to the meals, everything was horrible. The waiters were very nice and prompt but the food experience was so bad that it didnt matter how good the service was. I picked a $13 meal which was a big portion, but ate at most 5 bites. Not taking any leftovers home, we left very unhappy and still hungry with a $60 bill. I will never recommend or go back to this diner. I wish I listened to the negative feedback on this diner, but I figured it was just 2 disgruntled people who had a bad experience. I now see what they ment.

Really nice diner. I had lunch there today with a friend. The place was clean and the service was very attentive. I had the French Onion Soup and the Tuna salad and my friend had the big house salad. Everything was very fresh, tasty and the servings were generous. I was here a about a year ago and had the same good experience. I read this page before I went today and I was intrigued by all the bad reviews. They were so out of line with my experience they actually they made me curious and prompted my visit today. All I can say is that I suspect these bad reviews are planted for someones nasty hidden agenda. I note with interest references to another local restaurant. Dont be fooled, give this place a try.

The waitress who served me was overworked, yet I saw three employees standing around chatting with each other several times during my meal. My server was very pleasant despite having to practically jog around the restaurant. I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich with fries. The marinara sauce, breading on the chicken, and the fries were rather bland. For the amount of food I got I still consider it a decent value, but a chicken parm is really basic stuff, any diner should be able to do it well. I can only assume poor management. I gave my waitress a $5 tip on a $13 meal, she deserved it, and I hope she finds a better place to work.

Our food was good for the most part. The crab had a faint moldy taste, the cocktail sauce seemed not the freshest. The tartar sauce, shrimp, scallops, and French fries were fine. They have a new policy, however, where they are charging a 15% fee for take-out orders, and they add it to the bill without notification so if you dont check your bill carefully, you might not even notice it. I dont know of any other restaurant in the area that is doing that. If this policy continues, we will patronize other restaurants.

Went here for brekfast got there at 1230 got sat and sat there for 15 mins waiting for a server who didnt even tell us her name. When she came she asked for our drink orders and didnt come back for 15 mins she wasnt busy it seemd like she went on a brake. Me and my fiancee went there for catering for our party which was exceptional, but this was a let down. Wont be returning or referencing this place to anyone.

Not generally a bad experience here but today was the exception. Wasnt busy but took a long time to order and get food. When the food came out it wasnt even hot. Before we were half done with our meal the check was on the table because the waitress was rushing to leave. Didnt ask if we wanted anything more, no extra drinks or dessert. Its 3pm, why are you rushing to leave when you have 3 tables.

I really wish I had some of this " disgusting food " these other people talk about. I am constantly returning to the diner for everything from an appetizer to a very generous Family 4 value meal. Everything is delicious. Washington Diner? <---- go there for rude waitstaff, terrible management, terrible parking & over priced food. I love Belvidere Diner and the wonderful staff & owners!

We went for lunch and all the wraps were about $10, nothing else included, so we asked the sweet waitress for our check and the guy charged us $5.11 for two fountain Pepsi that we didnt even finish. Never going back there again. Want good food with a good price in Belvidere? My girlfriend and I are now at Little Johns on Water street paying $7.99 for a burger WITH fries.

Went to the diner, and were very hungry! Service was good, there were very few people. The food was slow in coming but I was very pleased with my selection: poached eggs over potato pancakes with ham and hollandaise sauce. It was delicious! My husband had the Italian omelette, spicy and said it was hotter than he expected, but good. In general, a good breakfast!
