We went to the Hudson Cafe to have brunch to discuss some very serious issues. We made a reservation for 7 people at11. At 11:07 they had given away our table. They told us to come back in half hour. We came back at 11:30. They had given away our table again. They wouldnt give us the open table right in front of us. Both owners and the cook started yelling at us. They lied.. they said i got there at 11:15 when I met the rest of my party in the parking lot after they got turned away the first time and never went up to the restaurant. I can only imagine them being so tough on themselves if they were 10 minutes late getting us a table. This restaurant has gotten to big for themselves. Awful bullies. Stay away. Cant I rate it zero stars?

The food is delicious but the service is horrible. I had to ask a different waitress (because ours was too busy helping everyone else but us) for coffee and water and finally just asked the bus boy for it and he got it for us. The waitress probably came to our table 4 times- once to take the order, drop of drinks, drop of the food then drop off the check. She didnt check on us and we waited for her to take the check back until finally we just went up and paid for it (dont know if this is whats done-paying at the register or not but we saw other waitresses taking checks so we figured it wasnt). Food was good and one point but we needed better service. We had no coffee, no sugar and no water.

Excellent food, presentation and atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Sidewalk tables for outdoor people watching. Indoors can get a little noisy during a rush. Worth the wait if its crowded...went back again was seated outside and pain poured down. All the outside tables ran in and in less than 5 minutes the staff had everyone seated indoors with new table settings and drinks. The well orchestrated team here moves with grace and haste. Delivered another delicious meal. Took a scone to go and they are the best scones evah-evah-eevvvvaahh!

Amazing cold brew coffee!! The coconut cold brew is perfect for the summer and not too sweet. Plus if you dont like coconut they offer other flavors as well. Definitely top of my list for best coffee. Also, the food especially the Banana Bread French Toast is delicous. If ever in the area stop in and at the very least get a cold brew coffee to go! Great little cafe in the quaint town of Atlantic Highlands.

Ive been going to the Hudson Cafe since they first opened and theyve been consistently excellent ever since. The coffee is great, breakfast is spot on, and the service is excellent. I work in Atlantic Highlands, so we often order a take-out lunch here. Its always ready quickly and never disappoints. Love this local business and the staff!

Ate breakfast here in a party of 8 from England/Northern Ireland when we were on holiday...stepped off the boat from NYC and were immediately made welcome. Friendly and accommodating staff, prompt service...and omelettes to die for and great price. 4 egg omelette with pretty much everything for less than $10

Super warm & friendly, delicious, fresh food made to order, great menu, desserts that should not be even legal to eat ( they are that GOOD- peanut butter cookies & peanut butter chocolate cheesecakes!?)The sisters are always so welcoming, I feel at home when I come for breakfast or lunch. LOVE.

The food here is fresh and delicious. Sp fresh that once they were out of fresh squeezed OJ because there was an orange shortage in Florida. Family run business where everyone is so kind and welcoming. Their cold brew coffee is amazing. Definitely my favorite breakfast spot.

We are big fans! Just picked up a trio of Turkey Burgers for myself and staff. The staff is really friendly and I always feel welcome there. I recently had breakfast there and the French Toast is off the charts!
