AMAZING!!!!! Went there for the first time tonight since we moved here 2 months ago. We have tried one other sushi bar so far which was just okay. So...although there were high ratings here, we did not have high expectations. Boy were we wrong. From the first bite, we knew this would be our go-to sushi bar. All the chefs are Japanese and they know their stuff. My husband and I consider ourselves sushi aficionados and we both agreed that everything was high quality. Their rice is top notch (For those who dont know, it takes years and years to learn how to make sushi rice). We had no idea there was a difference between great sushi and fabulous sushi. And this was fabulous. Honestly, we were speechless because it was hard to describe the amazing thing happening in our mouths. We had the Shrimp Tempura roll, Oceans 11 roll, Negihama w salmon & lemon on top (my personal request), Toro sushi, Uni sushi and Shima Aji sushi. We pigged out!!! We couldnt stop. We actually got out our calendars to schedule our next date. A++ Oh. And we need to talk about the service as well. Outstanding!!!!!!! My husband dropped one of his rolls on the table in front of him. He picked it up and continued eating. Any other restaurant would have done nothing about this, but not here. As soon as they noticed it, they kindly came over and cleaned it up for him. They were attentive to all over our needs, but not overwhelming. Incredible service. A++ They dont serve alcohol here since there are limited licences available in the area and outrageously expense. Never-the-less, there is an alcohol mart (try their sake) on the corner and you can b.y.o.b. (Which most of the customers did). They even put it on ice for you. Finally words, Try it and you will be hooked. Take it from two pros who knows, Dont bother going anywhere else.

Sushi Restaurant Serving Rotten Food and Unapologetic Manager. Something smelled off today. I had no idea what. But because I am not very sensitive to these things, so I just ignored and continued to eat. I realized something was very foul when had the clam that was in my Udon. The foul smell came from the clam and it tasted very bitter and smelled rotten in my mouth. I had to spit it out in the napkin. I did not want to look like I was asking for a freebie. So I asked for my check first. And then I let one of the waiters know that the clam was not fresh and that I had to spit it out. By the time when I signed my bill, someone who appeared to be a manager came out and asked if I wanted a new bowl of Udon. I said, no. Then the manager just turned around and walked away without an apology. All I wanted was a simple apology and for Masa Sushi to admit that they made a mistake. The kitchen staff should know whether their ingredients are fresh or rotten. They should also recognize right away when the dish they prepare smells off. My family visited Masa Sushi at 5:20pm. They were not that busy. The kitchen staff should have been on top of everything. The manager should have been more sincere......

This place is a real Japanese restaurant, as if straight from Japan. This is where the local expats go for their meals. The food is unbelievably fresh, daily menu always superb, prices very reasonable. Service is great, there is always parking nearby, location is great, very clean restaurant. To typically high Japanese standards. Ive been to all the best Japanese restaurants in Manhattan and this one is equal in food quality, just less pretentious. Thanks!

Masa Sushi pays attention to the details. Every item is perfectly put together with what you can tell are high quality ingredients, and though it comes at a cost, it is well worth it! Price is a non issue for me on sushi though as I will never look for a bargain on raw fish. I lived in Japan and can tell you that if you are looking for fresh, delicious, authentic Japanese favorites, Masa is the way to go.

I chose to eat dinner here because of the high rating on yelp. I dont understand the high rating. The sushi wasnt horrible but it wasnt good. The sweet potato roll for example typically comes with eel sauce but apparently I needed to ask for this standard drizzle if they were to serve it. The service was friendly enough but neglectful. I have had better sushi and wont be returning to this location.

Great restaurant well worth the price of the food. The menu and sushi preparation seems more traditionally Japanese than others in the area. The Omakase is a great value considering the quality and pieces Ive had. The Hamachi Kama is huge and delicious too.

A sushi restaurant with no sake? But as I sat down and realized literally every other patron was speaking Japanese, I knew it would be good. And it was. Fresh Sashimi that was properly selected and cut. But... No Sake? Cmon... :-)

With many options that are closer, Masa is our go to place for Sushi. Offering high quality fish, great service and a good value, Masa is worth the drive. Try out their special rolls for a truly exceptional experience.

Best sushi in the US. Enjoy this place over Nobu in the city. The only place Ive had better sushi was at a dive under a bridge in Tokyo and honestly, that was too long ago to compare it fairly with Masa.

Staff is friendly and the food is amazing! I am good friends with the owner. Great service and awesome sushi and grill. I highly recommend the salmon terryaki. Prices are also great.

Here is the only place to have "REAL" Japanese food in this area. I think the chef has his secret supply chain. I have no idea why masa serves such a flesh fish.
