I have been to Pirates Pizza at least six times this year. The first couple of times, the pizza was very good. My family particularly liked the house combo. But, the quality has significantly declined over the last month or two. The last pizza was a take out Hawaiian. The crust was soggy and the ham was not at all crisp. I suspect the oven was off prior to putting the pizza in and it was not allowed to get to temperature. I asked about a number of items on the menu and ordered two of them. When I picked up; there were four items on my bill. I didt say anything. I just paid. Over the last couple of months, the store has been almost empty when I was there. They claim to have the best pizza in Reno. If that was true; there would be a lot more activity at the tables and at the register for take out. I really want a great local pizza shop. Now, I have to find a new pizza take out restaurant.

After living here, and eating here at keast once a week, for many years I moved away only to compare every pizza to Pirates. I am back to visit, and when asked where I wanted to eat Pirates was the first thing out of my mouth. 11 years later, and I am still absolutely convinced this is the best pizza ever.

On friday the 7 th of aug. We had made a reservation for 8 plus 2 babies. I have to tell our waitress was the best. I did not catch her name as my boyfriend proposed to me and I got a little distracted. Thank you for making this so special for us.

Eat here if you like thick crust made with delicious bread. They offer thin crust. Dont order it. Original thick crust is the only way to go here. Pro tip: ask for some ranch, garlic butter, and/or honey to use as a dip for your pizza crust ends.

I give it high ratings for my server, I took my son in to try them out, hadnt been in many years. The server was polite and helped my son pick out what he wanted most. She was pregnant but I dont remember her name, if you go try to get her!

Amazing food, waitress was sweet and tried to fix mistakes by kitchen, things happen and I understand that. Manager was not the best and shrugged us off as if we were annoying.

Great pizza. Never been disappointed with the food. Descent beer selection too. The service can be hit or miss. Long waits for refills and the check.
