While I can kinda understand their "no backpacks allowed inside" sign on the door in light of the homeless shelter right down the street, keep in mind that theres a difference between someone with a school-like backpack and some sleazy person carrying a huge backpack containing clothes and camping gear and who knows what else. I like doing some writing on my laptop over a couple of beers, but I cant do that at this bar because of their no-backpacks policy and my not having an automobile to keep the backpack in and just carry in my laptop. Some flexibility on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Love this place. Moving from the East Coast, I struggled to find a bar that would open early and play EPL matches on the weekend; this place opens at 8am and the staff is more than happy to put them on TV. COYI. Blackfoot Single Malt IPA is on tap, the bloody marys and caesars are some of the best around, and you get to pee on ice in the urinal. Nothing less than a 5-star establishment.

2 bars in one, also the Western Bar. Some girls propositioned my friend to come inside the bar, and once inside. Once we did they bailed on him. Weird crowd creating. We left the Gold Bar immediately, we came back later to the Western Bar and Gigi was great serving everybody.

I lived in Helena for several years and I enjoyed tha people there The bartenders were great and so were tha people who drank there. Many of fun drunkin nights. Im gonna miss it.
