I have grown up eating at the Pizza House. When my son was two I got a pizza there with green peppers on it. When I got home, I was feeding it to my toddler and he choked on it. I tasted the pieces that I had given him and they had jalapenos on them. When I called and told the "manager", she just argued with me that they were green pepper not jalapenos. And told me that she wasnt going to do anything to rectify the situation. Yeah, my toddler didnt die, but the company that sold me the food saying it was one thing could give me a pizza that was actually what I ordered. Horrible customer service! IF they dont care about serving a toddler jalapenos and saying its green pepper they probably serve you food off the floor. Thats all Im saying. I stopped eating there that day and I will NEVER go back. Its too bad cause I would have been a loyal customer. Im a bit shocked that they are still in business with their attitude toward their patrons. Two thumbs down.

My wife and I, after hearing rave reviews about this place, have been wanting to eat here for years. We finally had the chance to here while taking a stroll down Commercial street. Sadly we never found out if the pizza is as good as the reviews state. The service was horrible. I have never ever been treated so rudely in my forty four years of eating out. We have been to some stuck up, snotty, very expensive places before. I thought they were the worst, but even they didnt treat us this rudely. Two waitresses made sure we knew we were not welcome there. It was so bad that we walked out within five minutes of arriving at the restaurant. If the stroller, or our two year old was the issue, then you should state on your website, and google; "For accommodation reasons, No strollers or children under # allowed". Your waitresses should watch their body language, not just their tongue. You have permanently lost my business.

My family and I have been in love with Pizza House since they were in the old strip mall back in mid 80s. Were, (my mom, sister, and bro) are Chicago transplants (Elgin, Melrose Park, Steamwood) and met our Dad (Stepfather to us for 30 yrs until death) for the first time as a introduction of families at this pizza joint. My family and I shared our first meal with our Dad and his kids, our new borher and sister, at Pizza House and the last meal my brother and i shared with our father, Rick, at the hospital, was a 5 high stack of our favorites pizza from here. THIS PIZZA IS NOT TO BE IGNORED. IT SHOULD BE ALL OVER THE FOOD CHANNELS. I have a scheduled trip from KC to get a pie at Pizza House for me and the kids! No BS, its that good. Get a whole one for yourself, you will regret it if you dont. LOVE YOU ALL AT THE PIZZA HOUSE, SEE YOU SOON!

Wow. Should I start with the incredibly rude manager that repeatedly cut me off when I called to explain that I believed I had been over charged? Or do I start with the fact that I was in fact charged for two extra toppings? Or that the four topping pizza had pieces with NO toppings on them. I called and left a voicemail the next day requesting a call back (as they were closed the next day) and never got one. When I called back the second time, the manager had the gall to ask why I was calling about a pizza I had ordered three days before. (Um... you were closed two of those days. and... I was expecting a call back since I had left a voicemail requesting one). I ended up hanging up on the guy because he was so rude and clearly was not interested in having a satisfied customer. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT ORDER PIZZA FROM HERE

Where do I begin with how much I love Pizza House? Stacy the owner is an amazing person, and her staff is too! Pizza house pizza has the most delicious super thin crust pizza that is cut into bite size pieces, topped with fresh ingredients; the edge pieces are the best, being that they are perfectly crispy. Be careful! It doesnt take much to eat an entire pizza by yourself, so if youre with a group of people, be safe and order more than one large.... Ya, theyre that good!

If you post signs everywhere to "seat yourself" then you probably shouldnt yell at patrons who try to seat themselves telling them to wait to be seated. After we where seated next to the soda machine a young man came to fill it with ice and dumped ice all over my son. My husband tried to joke with him about it and he just blew us off. Not even an apology for my son. The waitress was nice and the food was good but otherwise rude people.

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Pizza House since 1963. They have changed owners and locations since then, but their pizza is still the same delicious recipe. Their building is classic and they have a great location. There is available parking across the street from their restaurant. Try it, you will like it, 312 E Commercial St., Springfield, MO. Sorry, they are closed on Mondays.

Make sure your table has an abundance of napkins cause theyre tiny and the pizza is greasy and delicious. Id say grab onto the crust to save some of your fingers but they used the crust as more pizza ground and its all or nothing! The deluxe pizza was amazing and the decor is what really sold it to me. Old time pizza with an old time atmosphere that really brings everything together.

This pizza is wonderful. The crunch of the thin crust and the ingredients are top notch. I am also responding to "Mine Recommendation" when he says it is a knock-off of Imos. Pizza House started in 1958 and Imos started in 1964 -- maybe he got it backwards. I like Aris crust but their cheese taste funny. Try the hamburger and bacon, its to die for.

The pizza is great. Loved in Chicago for a while and I LOOOOVE thin crust pizza instead of the deep dish. Id put this place at the top of the tier just under my favorite Chicago joint. Its a mandatory visit anytime were in town to visit family. The ambience is also very cool with exposed brick walls. Kids love it, too!

Recently moved to Springfield from the St. Louis area(home of the best thin crust, or so we thought!) and ate at Pizza House for the first time last week. Oh my gosh it is amazing! So good that we ordered a 3rd pizza to take home and it was gone by the time we pulled in the driveway. We will definitely be back!

Love this place it is so similar in taste and texture to a pizza place I grew up with in Rolla Missouri called...." Pryors" Having spoken to the owner Stacy, who is awesome I have determined to her knowledge that they were all related from the same initial pizza recipe of awesomeness!

My first time here the service wasnt great but the second time was so much better! The gentleman who waited on us was very on the ball and sweet. The pizza is good but the service the second time is definitely a reason to come back. Wish they took debit though. I hate carrying cash.
