Brick & Mortar is a fresh new perspective for the Springfield coffee community. The owners and employees are VERY knowledgable and can answer any questions you may have, while crafting you the finest traditional beverages with their in-shop roasted beans. Their homemade cold press goes really well with a hot day and they have a variety of merchandise to sell. Phil Cook, Jonathan Putnam, and Audre Langebartel have spent a combined few decades in the coffee industry and REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF. This is my favorite shop in town and is highly recommended for a morning pick-me-up, a relaxed afternoon study session, a cupping or tasting event, or even the occasional latte art throwdown. I recommend the baristas choice--whoever is on the bar will give you some great beverages.

I love the taste of their coffee. So many other boutique roasters try to do a light roast and leave you enjoying a pinto-bean-tasting drink. Their roast brings out the subtle tones without being so weird it sends the novice coffee drinkers running. Truly head and shoulders above any other company in the flavor profile. The tasting room is just that. Not a place to hang out and "coffee shop" off the wifi (I dont think customer wifi is available). A great place to sit and chat with friends (provided the music isnt too loud) or with the baristas (great staff). a must-visit if you love coffee.

Not only one of the best places to get coffee in town, but one of the best in the country. Primarily a roaster, they have a "coffee bar" that serves as a kind of tasting room for what they roast. While it can feel intimidating going into a place like this if youre not a huge coffee/espresso drinker, the staff is extremely friendly; whether youre a seasoned connoisseur or just have a couple questions, theyre more than happy to inform, advise, or even just chat.

Sat down and enjoyed the best cup of coffee I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The owner, Jonathan, and his crew were friendly, enthusiastic, and the service was great. I brought on jar of beans with me back to Sweden, and once home I wish I had bought more. If these guys could deliver to Sweden then this would be the only coffee Id ever let touch my lips. Keep up the amazing job your doing, and keep making amazing coffee.

This place is really great for specialty coffee with ingredients like pineapple whip or Mexican cola, and they make it fresh right in front of you. The prices are also cheaper compared to other coffee places and are actually full of espresso vice watered down with sugar and slush. The restaurant itself looks amazing, like something youd find in New York or California vice a little street in Springfield.

Excellent macchiato with the single-origin espresso. Three pour over options -- I went with the Kenyan, my wife with the El Salvador. Both were delicious, but mine was better -- perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity. The barista was really friendly and knowledgable, showing me around the roaster and talking beans. Classy decor, too. Overall an outstanding shop.

The folks that work here are very knowledgeable about their craft. They were great about not making us feel rushed when we had questions and passionately answered them.Their roasted coffee beans are fantastic. As an amateur roaster, I was also extremely excited to find that they sell green coffee beans. The long drive from home is well worth each visit!

Do yourself a favor and order the baristas choice. This is a place to take your time and enjoy the craft of coffee. Every aspect of the coffee has been artfully cared for and the team is equally passionate about the quality in the cup. Brick and Mortar Coffee will be listed among the great and influential coffee bars in the nation.

The place is great, however, it is a tasting room. Remember that, it is a TASTING ROOM! While they do have a full bar, they are not a coffee shop. They have a limited select of beverages, no wifi, few seats, and no syrups for the coffee. I would still recommend going if given the chance, and buy a burlap sack while youre at it!

Better than Starbucks. These people care about coffee and the eccentricities of the complex flavors. My girls and myself got the iced latte which were great and the wife had a hot cup of coffee. I usually like my a touch sweeter but the flavors were good. Worth stopping, if you like a touch of sweet bring it with you.

These guys roast and brew a great cup, no matter what you order. They are extremely friendly! We love everything they make but last Saturday they were serving some delicious frozen custard with a shop of espresso to pour over the top and my taste buds are still feeling happy from the experience!

Came here looking for a relaxing cup of coffee; instead, I paid $4 for a shot glass sized cup of cold brew with raspberry sauce mixed in. One of my friends paid $4 for what was basically a sip of cold brew and a ton of whipped cream. I would choose my own French press over this any day.

This place is not afraid to do things the right way. They wont compromise their coffee integrity despite the demand for Starbucks style coffee. They are true 3rd wave coffee. If you want to taste coffee in its truest form and learn a thing or two, this is the place for you.

They really care about coffee, and serve their selection of coffee in their tasting room. All their coffee drinks from pour overs, espresso, espresso drinks, and cold brew are incredible! They take pride in roasting the best coffee!
