The burgers all use the same beef, whether marked Angus or not on the menu. The smoky-bacon jam burger is excellent as the glutamates in the jam bring up the flavor profile of the typically flavor depleted American corn-fed feed lot beef. No offense, its what we get everywhere now a days, unless you visit Hudsons Hamburgers in Coeur dAlene, ID for Americas best grass fed ground chuck beef burger. The St. Louis Pale Ale has some real hops flavor to it, with delicate aromatics be representin as much flavoring hopes are added very late in the boil. The Strawberry Rhubarb is pretty okay. The Pecan Brown has a funk to it that may pair well with Red Bull or Nyquil; tastes nothing of pecan. I tied a few other and they were not standouts. A nice space, with a surround, looping bar, with sports and such. A local gather space. Yet next to the south is a pub as is one up the street. Id hoped for more unique ales, and Ferguson Brew does that somewhat. As with all St. Louis breweries, too much emphasis on the grille and not so much on the brewery and such offerings.

The beers are unique, but since its a brewery they only offer their own selection (sorry, no Bud or Miller). Theyve all been pretty good and theres a lot to choose from with accurate descriptions for the adventurous drinker. The atmosphere is really great with a clean dining room. You can see the brewing/fermentation tanks behind a glass wall. This gives the place a distinct odor that took me a couple visits to "make the connection" that it was the hops (blonde moment--no pun intended). The menu is alright with highest recommendations going for the flat bread pizzas, salads, and French onion soup. Otherwise, they seem to be stretching too far from the ordinary for my taste and could use a few more of the basics. The service deserves the highest rating; bad service is one of my buggaboos. Brew Co.s service has always been top-notch at the bar or dining tables regardless of the day or night, peak hours or not.

We really like this place, but the last time we where there (last night) we got food poisoning. I think from the lettuce from our salad. My girlfriend and I shared a salad-she ate most and soon after she stated to look extremely uncomfortable. She thought it was just cramps or bloating. Soon later she when to the bathroom for a very long time. I knew something was wrong so I asked for a box for our food and picked up the check. When she came back to the table I took her home. On the way back my stomach stated to do the same cramping, and an added feeling of nausea. When home straight to the toilet the same as my girlfriend painfully dropping my guts out. While on the throne I did a little research on my phone to see how we could have the same symptoms so fast. Sure enough we realized I was good poisoning. Shame I liked this place, but we may need to give this some time before we head back.

Smoked wings are good. We had the Teriyaki flavored sauce. Fried ravioli was surprisingly good - especially the stuffing - and came with a nice marina sauce. The bbq salad was plentiful with lots of different textures and flavors. I found the bbq vin that came with it to have a good balance between sweet and vinegar. Just personal taste, I would have liked a bit less. We were greeted promptly and offered our choice of table. Ms. Page took good care of us. She politely took our order, made some suggestions (which were all good), brought our food quickly, and was sensitive to the fact that we were dining with a small child. Thank you, Miss Paige, for making our first dining experience in our new hometown lovely.

The historic building is a wonderful mix of brick and timber with the new brewing equipment. A small parking lot with one accessible spot connects to the slightly sloped concrete entrance making for an easy roll. The interior gives a wheelchair plenty of room to get around and see the brewing equipment. The bathroom has an accessible stall that is a few inches too small for a manual wheelchair user to get the stall door closed all the way. So a power chair will fit but the door won’t close. However, if you are trying out the craft beer scene with friends I just have one shut down the bathroom while I am in it. The food was tasty and the staff friendly.

We have been frequent diners at the Brewhouse but I am disappointed in the new menu. The new veggie wrap is a disappointment. The old one was one of my favorites. It also seems that the quality and size of dishes has diminished along with the presentation not being as important. The last couple of times all of the servers were new and Im guessing the kitchen staff is new also because it took a long time to get our food with our server not interacting with us during this long wait. I would really like the Old Brewhouse to return with the servers, kitchen staff and especially the menu. No longer a recommending to others.

We love this place and are regulars since it opened. I would normally give a 5+ stars but tonight was not great. Our server was polite and friendly but sort of rushed us at the end of the meal. We ordered an appetizer which we normally dont do, but we were hungry. It came with the meal and tasted like it had been ready for awhile. The pretzels were hard as a rock and dry. No point in complaining as our dinner was there. Since the reopening the items we loved have been tweeked and are not quite as great. We will of course be back but hoping for a slightly better experience next time.

Drove 45 minutes on the Sunday ( not the holiday) of Memorial Day weekend to eat and on the door was a note stating they were closed due to Memorial Day. I ate there one time before but hesitated to go back due to the riots. While I was standing there in the parking lot I saw about 4 other cars pull in to have dinner. They were very upset too. I will never go back now. Clearly they make to much money if they can afford to close on one of the busiest weekends.

I am a regular here. The beer is some of the best in the entire STL area and pours and growlers are among the lowest priced in the metro area, especially during happy hour. Bar staff is friendly and top notch, and the food items are tasty. Try the smoked wings! I will note, though, that if youre seated in the dining room area (not at the bar) service isnt always as good as it is at the bar, but it depends on the server.

I really would like to rate it a 4 or 5 but we couldnt get inside on 5-24-15 the day we tried to have dinner there. I give it a one because there was nothing on the website stating it would be closed on 5-25-15 nor was there an announcement on an answering machine when we called the phone number listed on the website. Come on people it is not that hard to keep the public informed of temporary closings these days!.
