A nice menu and very popular breakfast spot. I gave only two stars because of the waitress, Kelly. I wouldve given zero but the food was very nice. It was quite busy when I went for Sunday brunch but there was no excuse for the way we were treated. I was in a party of 6 people, as soon as we sat down the waitress was there with a pad and pencil. Didnt give us any time to look at the menu. Reluctantly went away for us to decide. Everyone in our group was served except for me. My food took longer. No one wanted to start until I was served and breakfast food gets cold so quickly. When mine did come and I was halfway though eating the waitress came and asked me if I would like a box!!! Nothing like trying to get us out quickly. I felt pressure from the minute we went in to hurry up eat and leave so that someone else could have the table and so they could get more in tips. Absolutely ruined my meal. I did package half of my meal and take it home, just because I felt the pressure to hurry up. It was a disgrace I will never eat there again. As it happened the reason we were there was not just an every day meal but a meeting with family I hadnt seen in over a year and we wanted to enjoy our meal together and catch up, not just eat as quick as possible and leave. They blatantly wanted a quick turn over so if you want to sit calmly, enjoy the company and chat, avoid this place. I certainly will.

It was this past Saturday when we visited this place. My experience was so great I just had to share it. The wait at 9am was 5 minutes or less and we were slow to sift through the menu. Brittany brought a carafe of coffee for me, and a carafe of hot water for my wife. The place got busier as we decided on our meal. Our food shows up nice to look at and tasty (I had the carrot cake pancake). Everything was wonderful and I mentioned to our server about this being a special place for us, our anniversary location as it was shared on our 25th anniversary 4 years ago. It’s always a special time for us. She made the time to listen about our previous visit. As we were about halfway through our meal, Brittany shows up with a heart shaped pancake with strawberries and some custard on it. It just made our day. Thanks First Watch Des Peres for a great Anniversary experience. We will keep coming back.

Twice now I have gone to this location. And the food was decent enough, what my problem is that I drank water both time from thier cool milk jugs. And BOTH times the jug when I finished has been dirty. Like disgustingly dirty. I have brought it to thier attention both times. Never got a sorry. Got a we will fix it. Obviously not. If they cant keep water dishes clean I can only imagine the rest. I can get seriously sick from that, weather it be food or soap.

Very light and creative menu. Still have great traditional options as well. I ordered their iced coffee which had great flavor. I went with an awesome eggs Benedict with salmon. Very good combination of flavors. Their bacon is nice and thick cut. A little pricey like any fresh food place but overall an awesome place to eat!

My husband and I visited the !st Watch a few minutes after Noon on a Sunday. Even though the restaurant was crowded we received our order quickly. The food was very good! The Peanut Butter and Jelly Waffle is like a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich for grownups. It was delicious!!

Simple menu but fresh. We had summer special ( heirloom tomatoes and burrata), it was surprisingly good. Amazing combination with basil hint on top. If you want to have healthy breakfast, here could be a good option.

Diner experience without the diner feel. Everything was extremely fast, and the quality was definitely good. I would prefer a more classic diner feel (decor, ambiance) to he completely honest though.

My brother, dad, and I come once a month and the staff remembers us by name. They are absolutely amazing. The food is so fresh and yummy. I cant say enough good things about the food and staff.

First Watch is one of the better chain breakfast and lunch places around. Ive been to the Kirkwood Des Pere and Webster location and they are all equally good.
