Went to the Sunny Street Café in Wildwood, MO for the first time today and will never go back. Very confusing situation where upon entering the café, we were told it was a 10-25 minute wait (just before 10 am on Sunday, which would not be unexpected). Granted there were 6 of us, but there were a number of open tables that did not warrant a wait, including a large one that could accommodate our group. We asked about outside as all tables were open and they indicated we could sit there with no wait, which is what we said we would do. Well, after waiting 10 minutes longer, they decided to sit us inside at the big table which was open from the moment we came in. No big deal to this point, but from the time we sat down at the table until the time we were even acknowledged it was 20 more minutes (which I timed using my phone’s stopwatch). Not only did it take that long, but I had to ask the hostess if anyone even knew we were here. We were finally greeted by a very nice waitress who started to take care of us. Since our family has dairy and gluten allergies, we asked if they could cook the food with oil or a spray as opposed to butter. Apparently, everything is cooked with butter, no exceptions and they have no separate pans for cooking eggs without butter. To be honest, serves us right for not calling ahead and asking about the allergies. However, the people there have no clue about allergies and even how to respond to basic questions that every other breakfast restaurant we have been to in the St. Louis area always easily answers. To me this appears to be a case of a business run by people who do not know how to run a business. Took forever to get seated, clueless hostess and servers not even realizing no one was waiting on us for 20 minutes until I said something, and even more clueless about allergies. Most new places know about allergies and I know they cannot always accommodate. As such, don’t waste your time there.

My husband and I visited this cafe on Sunday and were extremely disappointed. When we first sat down a manger followed the hostess to our table and corrected her on the way she placed the menu on the table and then made a sexist comment to my husband about the hostess error. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash with my eggs medium. When our food arrived the portion of the Corned Beef Hash was smaller than the size of my eggs and was extremely crispy. My eggs were over easy, not medium as I requested. I thought the appearance and portion size of the Corned Beef Hash was normal, until the table next to me received their food and had the Corned Beef Hash. Their food was not crispy and I could see potatoes and onions from my table. Their portion was 2-3 times larger than the one on my plate. Its evident that I was served the bottom of the container that had probably been sitting under a hot lamp all morning. I filled out a customer survey online, even though at the cafe I was told that they did not have a survey option. A manager responded back to me thanking me for the feedback and offered me a free meal, but not an apology. Not offering an apologizing demonstrates to me that they are not taking responsibility for their mistake. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be revisiting this location or another ever again.

The food was good but the service was terrible. We were seated for 15 minutes before someone even took our drink orders and then it took another 10 min to get our drinks. There were also a ton of people waiting, but there were open tables everywhere. The whole operation seemed very disorganized. The staff was friendly and the food was good, which is the only reason Im giving this 3 stars instead of 1.

I have visited several times and they have never cooked the eggs properly. Eggs should not have bubbles or crispy perimeter. I have ordered them over medium and they have been cooked over easy every time. Over medium should have a soft, but firm yolk. Its always been over easy. So, on my very last visit, I ordered the corned beef hash. They were out. I will never return.

The only reason i gave 2 stars instead of one is the host attempted to apologize for the long wait. When i asked them, "whats wrong with the 5 empty tables?" i was told " our manager told us not to seat people because were short staffed in the kitchen." so after waiting in a small waiting area for 45 minutes we decided to goto Chilis next door. No wait, great food.

Good food, OK service. Seems somewhat disorganized. In most restaurants, if there is an empty seat at the counter, and youre alone, you can just go up and be seated. Here, they put you on the list with everyone else, even if the counter is open and you specify that you would like to sit at the counter.

Cinnamon pancakes were HUGE. I was thankful that the waitress suggested only getting a half order. Overall the place was a little dingy, but mostly clean for diner standards. Lost a star because the coffee may have been some of the worst Ive ever had. Skip that, but dont skip the cinnamon pancakes.

I would consider this to be an alternative to First Watch if you have either had a bad experience there or too much of a wait. Their menu seems pretty much the same and the food is delicious. My wife and I come for breakfast fairly often.

Food was tasty and i like the menu choices.... however, prices are really high, $45.00 for 3 people.... $5.99 for mini sundae which was a normal size yogurt with some fruit, again very tasty but $5.99?

Service was a bit slow. The two waitresses were having a hard time keeping up and yet the dining room was only about 60% full. They were both friendly and the food was excellent though. :)

Fast, friendly service. Large menu with great options for healthy eating or indulging in something sinful-like a huge plate of pancakes or their fantastic homemade corned beef hash.

The food is OK: much of it rather tasteless. Often very crowded and very noisy. Regular patrons are frequently rude, very impolite, and there are a few sneaking liars thrown in.

A busy place for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Tasty breakfast and coffee. Not a place to go if you want a quiet atmosphere when eating breakfast. Best eat at home.

I got the Sunny Street Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. The loaded hashbrowns are also a good choice. I plan on coming back very soon.

Just your average breakfast joint... though, the peanut butter pancakes are delish! They are the size of the plate, its easy to overorder.
