We live very close to this restaurant and have enjoyed it in the past when it was under different management and different names. We went here as Mad Jacks one time right after it opened. The service was poor, but the food was decent. We left feeling like our patronage was unappreciated. This evening we went here near the end of happy hour. Our server came by a few times and took our order. The loaded hashbrown app is very tasty, but it took quite a while to come out. We waited for about 45 minutes for our food when our waitress came back and said the "computer system went down and lost ours and three other orders"... except the people that arrived 20 minutes after us had already received their food and she wrote our order down on a tab (how does a computer lose a hardcopy order?) We left without dinner. Our server did put say the hashbrowns were on the house, but we still had to pay for our drinks and wait for another 10 minutes to receive the check as the waitress stopped to chat with another table. The manager did bring out our hashbrowns, but he did not make an effort to remedy the situation. Its a shame that we consistently get poor service here because we do live so close. Doesnt surprise me that its changed ownership five times in the nine years or so since its been open. Probably wont waste our time here again.

This is the place to go if you desire burnt food and aluminum foil in your sandwich along with an arrogant management team who offers no apologies as the "cooks make mistakes." It never occurs to them that a server actually brought that plate of food to table and served it, without thinking about. Also, they have a motto that you ordered it, so you pay for it, as they pride themselves on making it right regardless if you have no desire to wait another 45 minutes while they attempt to remake your food. Why go to restuarant and eat alone? We were regulars but I assure they will never blessed by the revenue of our visit again! The 30 years "Night Manager," needs a new career and needs to learn he should ask questions before he makes statements. Also, what is up with the Daisy Dukes the wait staff is wearing these days? This place has gone way, way down hill with the new ownership. Served wrong food, soggy wings that they refried but didnt add any additional sauce aferritier we sent them back, a paper thin burger. Substandard service, substandard food and outrageous prices.

Its just OK at best. . This IL place is probably just a place to watch sports games and drink. .food seemed like typical bar food, service was good but when you serve bland food good service alone is not gonna be enough to get me to RAVE about it. . Ordered chips and salsa and the garbage pizza. . Pizza was soggy doe from to much of everything and the chips was a huge amount of chips with just 3 small boring bland salsas. . They seem to maybe have made 1 or 2 and the other was bland. . Also who wants chips and salsa without cilantro or something spicy? Asked our server if they had any spicy salsa and she acted like I was crazy. . Cmon . . Good thing tho is she asked the chefs if they could come up with something. . She came back with the tomatoes salsa and Sriracha. . Oh well. . Make the best of what ya got I guess. Wont bring people I want to impress here. . Will come here to watch sports games and drink beer. . Eat some place else

My wife and I decided to stop into Mad Jacks to enjoy happy hour and sadly our server never showed up. After waiting for 15 minutes and asking the hostess, who was extremely rude and snippy, when we would have a server to take our order she just replied that she could take our drink order and was very unapologetic about the long wait. If I had nothing better to do and having our 1 year old daughter with us I may have decided to wait it out a bit longer if it wasnt for the terrible attitude of the hostess. No apology or offer to save a customer was given. Thus I am sharing this with the world and her manager to ensure this doesnt happen to others. Oh and for the icing on this proverbial cake there was 4 servers rolling silverware into napkins not more than 3 tables away and the restaurant was nearly empty. Take caution before spending your money at this place.

My Family went to Mad Jacks many time before and was very pleased. But past weekend we sat in bar and server seemed not to be interested in anything. We asked questions. She did not suggest it was happy hour. And when we asked she said it didnt start till 3:30. It was 3:37. It was not very busy. Then orded chicken wing appetizer, came cold and not done. We orded and my sandwich came with chips. The Club sandwich was bland and meat old. Not many fixing on inside. My beer glass was sticky and the rim has something on it. I washed it off. I did tell waitress and she again seemed not interested. We like Mad Jacks but this time we left very dissatisfied. Hopefully was just a bad time to sit in bar. There was a hockey game on so you would think staff would be fun and interested.

Last week I was searching for a place to accommodate our party of 17. I called Mad Jacks as their location was perfect, and our last meal there was great. They offered the "Cabin Room" which holds 35 and I took it. Was I ever glad I did!!!! The room is large yet cozy for a group. Decor reminds you of a log cabin. Food was wonderful, and the server was EXCEPTIONAL. She was easily juggling her trays among our little ones underfoot, and smiling all the while. Everyone had a fantastic time and meal at Mad Jacks! We are all still talking about how perfect it was. I want to rate them a 100 or higher!!!!

The server dropped our bottle of wine without even opening it and said here you go. Which violates the liquor law acts of Minnesota. She was rude. When the manager drop our food off and asked if everything was okay we said no and we told him no end what happened. He talked to her. The server came back to our table and yelled at us for telling the manager what happened instead of her. It was awful very comfortable and the worst service ever. The food was cold and not what we ordered. The Expo got it mixed up with another table. very bad night

I used to love going to this place until they must have changed owners. I am a server myself and appreciate going out after my shift. The closing hours are never consistent, they close usually when they feel like it and hurry you out as well. Giving a last call and then turning up the lights 2 minutes later should never be ok, this has happened on more than one occasion. Half of the staff are enjoyable, the others are just rude. I probably wont be bellying up anytime soon, I would rather go some place I am welcome to enjoy my time!
