I work out of cafes every Monday and Dancing Goat was a new spot for me. The atmosphere is warm and what you want from a coffee house just outside the downtown area - big couches and mellow baristas. The plethora of parking was a huge win. The barista could not give me any recommendations as to what is good so I went with my go to cold press. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary for a standard cold press. The downstairs is mellow and a good place to connect with friends. The upstairs is definitely more of a place to study or read quietly as there is no music. If you are looking for a place to relax for an afternoon, connect with a friend, or study quietly, Dancing Goat is a solid spot.

I always drove by this place, and wondered how the coffee was. As a dedicated caffeine junkie I stopped by for a taste. The most unclean pricey cafe Ive ever been to. When I discovered a huge roach in my latte, I almost died... after I snapped a couple of pictures I immediately called for an employee. Jason had the nerve, to advise its on the house and gave me my $6.57 back. I was so furious I grabbed my belongings and left. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION, UNLESS YOU WANT TO CATCH A DISEASE!!!

Great place. Great freshly made coffee. Watched them press and made my coffee for me all the while the guy was striking a conversation with me and trying to get to know me. First coffee house Ive been to that actually asks me for my name as well. Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere. Not too sure about the goats being everywhere, but hey, Im not complaining.

Was told the only way to reserve the conference room was to go online, cant be done any other way. Fine. I go online, I get a reservation, and I get a confirmation email. I show up for my business meeting, and was told there is a standing meeting happening at that time, I cant have the room despite the confirmation their own system sent me saying I had the room. Nice.

So I drove past this place a few times and thought i would try it out. So does it always take 10 minutes to get a latte here? There was only 3 people ahead of me and they just ordered drinks no food. I had to get my money back because I would of been late to work. It looks like a really nice place, too bad its very slow. And for a small latte $4.52 is a rip off..

I might have gotten unlucky, but the two things I ordered (a donut and a scone) were both on the expensive side and stale. My total was 6.50, and as I eat this bland scone I wish I had saved my money and went somewhere else. The staff was nice, and I appreciate the old time jam upstairs. Wouldnt recommend with so many other cafes that are much better.

I want to love this place. Its a great atmosphere to hunker down & study (love that theyre open so late), the staff are helpful and nice, and the coffee is amazing (really, it is). The food isnt great, however-especially considering the cost, and it seems they are at times a bit understaffed. If they invested accordingly this place would be a hub.

Hands down the best hot mocha I have ever ordered w/out altering the drink, quiet comfortable environment, The Goat is a great new edition to the new development on the lower East Side. Helpful friendly staff and the owner Ben is always more then willing to help where hes needed and always giving a friendly smile ** Highly Recommended**

Excellent staff, delicious food (especially the cream cheese pastry), the coffee is unmatched and I love that the building has a quiet upstairs and fun, busy downstairs depending on what Im working on for that day. I can even being my kids and let them hang out in a whole room dedicated just to kids

Pretty sure the reviewer who said they found a roach, and that this cafe is dirty was either thinking of someplace else, or is trolling for some reason. This is a very nice, cozy cafe; with a very earthy, clean atmosphere, great coffee, as good food. Definitely worth a check if youre in the area!

Great service, ok coffee, incoherent atmosphere. The staff really was helpful! I got a cortado, certainly not the best Ive ever had, but it wasnt bad. The atmosphere however, felt a bit messy and chaotic. Maybe eclectic is the right word. Im sure many other people very much like the atmosphere!

This place is alright, multiple times now Ive ended up waiting a good 10 or 20 minutes for my plate only to have the barista completely forget about me once my coffee had been served. Great coffee and their sandwiches are delectable also, I just hate how airheaded some of the employees can be.

With their own parking lot, comfy seating (including meeting rooms upstairs), and friendly staff this is a fantastic place to meet up with friends or coworkers. The prices are a bit higher than average for a coffee shop, but the free parking and outstanding coffee is worth it to me.

Very quaint coffee shop. It is cozy and has a ton of seating (thanks to an upstairs section). The drinks were all very good. Specialty drinks were very creamy and they didnt go crazy with the foam like some places do. This is the perfect coffee shop to make your own.

The only place to really get a good cup of coffee on the East side of St. Paul. Service is great. Havent tried any of the food besides danish and fritters, but the coffee is always good. There is an upstairs sitting area as well-sometimes, it could get a bit crowded.

For the record ---- This is not a Dancing Goats- location at least not a Batdorf & Bronson location. They have ignored copyright infringement laws and continue to operate. Sorry- their coffee is not representative of an actual Dancing Goats location.

Staff are polite and the drinks are enjoyable. I prefer the nearby Swede Hollow Cafe, honestly, but Dancing Goat has a different appeal as well. A bit spendy (5-7 for a coffee/chai), and they charge extra for refills, but thats not unheard of.

Coffee tasted bitter and service was just as bitter. Im guessing liberals own and work here. Lived here 10 years and never been to this place until today. Millinials working here really need to work on customer service and actually smile.

Too many bad experiences, now 3 in a row. 20 minute cappucino, 15 minute cappucino, wrong order. Employees need to get off their phones when theyre taking orders too. Now they ripped me off of my refund for a wrong order

I cant wake up without a cup of small latte from the dancing goat. I love this place. I can focus my study here better compared to other places. The staffs are super helpful and nice. And their breakfast is awesome.

I think the review by elano must be trolling the coffee shop. As a past barista in another shop, I saw nothing wrong here, and the turtle mocha and the beef & pepper jack sammy, it was all fine and delicious.
