I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because I was not going to go to the one in West st Paul and pay $15/person. This pace had such a reasonable price! My husband and I dined for under $25. We both also had pop which was already included in the amazing price. For starters, the food is hot. You can see it steaming the second you walk in. The food was actually pretty decent for the price. They had a good selection. For dinner they had a good seafood selection but the crab were pretty small. I only saw one dish with beef so thats a bummer because beef is my favorite and I was hoping there was more. The sushi is decent and the soups, salads, and fruits were all good. The front cashier is a little boy. Probably 11 years old or so. The way he talks was rude but heck, hes a child. The waitress is very nice but she never once came to check for refills. The waiter however made sure our plates were taken away as soon as we were finished eating. Thats awesome because I hate plates piling up. All together, the ultimate reason I took one star away is because you can tell the food has been sitting there for some time because there were probably only a few other couples and a family there while we were there. But as soon as the food is done, they bring a new one out. They always start with a small tray because of course there werent a lot of people. But the food taste-wise was good. I love the price and Ill be returning when I crave for Chinese again.

Have recently remodeled and have a wide selection of quality food for the buffet. Lots of fresh seafood, but more authentic than many asian buffets. If you are looking for old fashioned chow mein, this is not the place and you will probably slam the restaurant. Thought the food as a whole was very good, and I have eaten at far more expensive Chinese restaurants in San Fran and New York. Service is not much, but you get your own food, so who really cares. Language issue is a problem with some of the staff. For $11 including beverage, it is an absolute steal!

Excellent seafood selection on Sunday evening: whole sauteed shrimp w/ jalapenos, fried squid, fried whole fish, oysters, clams, baked fish, crab, crawfish, deep fried battered cod, seafood mix. Lots of fruit: oranges, canned peaches, canned mandarin oranges, fresh cantaloupe, fresh pineapple, fried banana (plantain?), the sliced fresh mango was a pleasant surprise. White rice was moist. Sushi and salad bar were OK. Great fried chicken wings. Soft-serve ice cream. Only a couple beef options. Excellent service. Cost: 12.20

very very good selection of food, however taste s bland n awful n sometimes not fresh. If you are looking to stuff yourself, just like what I used to, then this place is good. if you are looking to get something fancy and fulfilling, then this place is good. If you want service (meaning cleaning your plate at least once during your total 3-4 plate eating) and flavor (meaning real good food), then dont expect much from it--it is a buffet.

Never took your plates, at least I didnt get mine taken away. Not too much seafood, consider its called seafood buffet, even no crab? We went there around 3 pm, food was refresh constantly at that time. The variety food selection is always good, you cant expect more from a buffet, which cost you 11 bucks for lunch.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The food was room temperature. I said something to the server and she ignored me. The few dishes that were hot were not very good. Couldnt even have a salad because the salad bar was not stocked. Would not be surprised if we got food poisoning. They should be reported to the health inspector.

The chicken was the only decent Asian item I sampled here. I was embarrassed by how much I left on the plate. Once I understood what the deal was, I tried a few other things without success including a piece of pizza. Its pretty bad when the best thing was the pizza and I didnt want to bother with dessert.

The following Buffet. Great Moon, has a lot more variety of the food s they serve as well as the best of very good helpful staff, the lunch special Is a lot cheaper in price. I have The best regards for the staff Thanks for the Great Moon Buffet, the place is worth the Drive to enjoy the food.

Very poor food, things were way over cooked and they had a bad selection. I asked for a refund and the lady refused to give me one and she had the nerve to laugh at me because I was complaining about their awful food. Threw my receipt in her face and will never go back to that place.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt and ignored the reviews. Dont. Awful awful awful. Cold. Dry. Those werent ribs. I dont know what the hell those were. Definitely made of rubber... Ill never trust urban spoons menu again. All around, a bad trip.

Since the remodel, the inside looks so much better. On slower days, the food isnt the greatest since they are not cooking much, but on busy days, they are always putting out fresh food - And they are now serving SUSHI. Not too bad of a buffet.

We went here once a while ago and the food was cold. It was gross. Yes you could see steam but it was super cold. Not sure if this has changed- the waitress was not interested when we complained. Have not and will never be back.

It used to be better, it was always full and there was some amazing food, now evertime I have gone there the food is cold and some trays are empty. I hope it gets better but for now I go somewhere else.

Windows are blocked so you dont see the inside. They hire illegal people working there and put like 20 people in one house just one mile up north. Immigration people should come and check this place up.

The staff was very friendly and kind but the food was horrible. We actually left without eating. The quality & selection isnt anywhere near what the Maplewood and West Saint Paul locations.

I went to the Great Moon Buffet with a friend for Labor Day and I enjoyed my time there. Everything was stocked and I would recommend The Great Moon to anymore that wants to go out to eat.
