I have been a very loyal customer of this establishment for the last year, eating there at least once a week. Their chicken shawarma and hummous are far and away the best I have had in the Ann Arbor area. However, upon our last order, my wife found a band-aid in her hummous. Concerned, I took the hummous back to the restaurant, where the owner stopped just short of calling me a liar. I was merely looking to have the amount I paid for the meal to be refunded, an mere $10, and leave the matter alone. However, the owner was not willing to refund any more than the cost of the hummous itself. Only upon my insistance, as well as my questioning if he could prove that all of his workers had no communicable disease, did he very reluctantly refund me $10 and then ordered me to get out of his store. His lack of empathy and unwillingness to initially rectify the situation merely added to my discontentment of an already disgusting situation. Needless to say, no matter how good the food was, we will never be dining at this establishment again.

I got home with carryout to part of my order being wrong after taking a bite of my stuffed lamb and salad. And of course i want given a receipt. The stuffed lamb is not stuffed, its tough, bland lamb on top of overcooked rice. The salad greens were limp and sad. I went back and they gave me the correct item and asked about my receipt that I was never given. I suspected that I had been overcharged as well, and I was. I had been talking to the owner about it and he kept just nodding at me and looking at me like I was stupid and kept telling me I was wrong. Would not refund me the difference. I dont think Id be as annoyed about getting the difference back if the rest of the food had actually been good. It would have felt like it was worth giving them more money, but it felt like a big rip off. No matter how much they redecorate it doesnt change if they dont have good food or customer service.

We didnt receive our dessert or side of garlic sauce. When I called back to ask for it to be brought to us, I was told to call the owner another time. I have to speak to the owner about $5 of product? Why would I want dessert & a side of garlic sauce at any other point in time by themselves? I am charged a 5$ delivery fee, plus a given 8$ tip & I cant have my accompaniments with my dinner? Asinine. I will no longer be ordering from pita pita. Anybody can deliver shawarma... Id rather eat at Jerusalem Garden. At least if anything is forgotten the problem will be fixed immediately.

Our server took our order and delivered our bill, but never checked on us once in between. We had to flag down another server to have our drinks refilled. While our sandwiches tasted good (I had the chicken shawarma and my friend the riz beldajaj) her sandwich had a bone in it, and even worse: I found a pubic hair on my plate. Unacceptable. Perhaps things have changed in the two years since the last review on here but my experience at Pita Pita was sub-par at best. This is the first Ive ever taken the time to review a restaurant, so maybe that is saying something.

We had been meaning to go to this place for a while and we finally got around to doing so. As we sit down the wall next to our booth was coming apart, it looked like it was made out of foam and just painted on. Our waiter was the worst part of our visit. He gave us a glas of water each but never offered us anything else to drink. When our food arrived he had gotten my order wrong and we got both of our pitas on ONE plate. When I finally got the right food it was on a very tiny plate so I had to share plate with my husband. Disgraceful. Not going here ever again.

I work around the corner. They have decent food and they deliver. We have been getting delivery regularly for about 4 months now. Pretty much weekly. All of a sudden they tell me the minimum delivery fee was $15. Ok I understand. Could not order that week. The next week, I get the minimum $15 and the guy tells me its a minimum of $20. He was very rude and telling me they change it all the time. Well that means I wont order from them any more. I did find a better place that delivers called Haifa Falafel, and wow is it good and gourmet!!

The food was fantastic and they deliver!! My friend and I ordered the Shish Tawook and Stuffed Lamb dinners. They were delivered exactly when they said they would be, they were hot, and they were delicious. The baklava were delicious as well. I get the feeling that customer service may not be their forte but both of the people I talked to on the phone were polite and my delivery driver was friendly and prompt. I will definitely order from Pita Pita again.

Food was great, and you get a lot for your money, I ordered a large chichen sharmwar and a large lamb sharmwar thinking that I would need a second one because they would be small, that was not the case, I was only able to finish one. They were each about $6, seemed like they had almost two chicken breasts on the chicken one, so come hungry if you end up getting a large one. Havent tried anything else yet, but plan on returning.

I ordered a Chicken Schwarma Fatoush salad from their dinner menu by phone for pick up. The guy at the counter was putting my order together when i arrived at Pita Pita. There was so much chicken on the salad that he had a hard time closing the container. The salad had the right amount of dressing on it. The chicken was flavorful but was a little dry. The garlic sauce was delicious. I will order again from Pita Pita.

My husband and I visit Pita Pita at least once every time we fly out to Michigan to visit family. We have NEVER had a negative experience. The service and the food have always been amazing. You also get large portions of food for extremely reasonable prices. We love the sandwiches, and the lavash, baba ganoush, and garlic sauce are all excellent. Im craving a chicken kafta sandwhich just thinking about this place...

One of the absolute best places to eat in Ypsi and Ann Arbor. My go-to menu item is the beef shawarma with hummus and extra pickles. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and the service is out of this world. I cant believe some of the negative reviews here, I have watched these guys bend over backwards to satisfy the most IMPOSSIBLE people--- I admire their patience and dedication, but above all I love the food!

The fries are quite possibly the worst thing I have tasted in years. They might as well get rid of them. Fattoush salad here is pretty good though. I havent tried every single item on the menu, but Im almost scared to because of my last visit. Sandwiches are average at best. They seem a little inconsistent. With so many other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, you can do better, much better.
