Its costed little over a Dime in the dime store.. ha ha.. Amazing food, Good vegetarian options (more like eggiterian for breakfast). Weekend street parking is free. Sunday morning Mothers Day breakfast. The place was Super busy. When we went there were at-least 20 ppl waiting. Luckily we were only 3, so we sat almost immediately. . The wait area is comfortable its the lobby of that building with ample seating. The staff is super friendly and nice. Starting at the front door, the hostess. Who was helping ppl pleasantly even during this busy morning. So the food: The days special - cheese cake and strawberry waffle. - Wow!! Delicious but its a sin, at least 1 million calories. Lol. It was delicious. I never imagined that combination. But surprisingly superb. We all loved it. Veggie hash - very good, A bed of crispy cubed potato hash with some sauté veggies, amazing seasoning, topped with two eggs. And a side of biscuit. Perfect dish. Just how I like it. The biscuit was little dry through! Veggie omelet - awesome. Something special about the way they cook the cheese or the type of cheese. Makes the omelette super yummy. Again served with hash and toast. They serve zingerman coffee- I was not a huge fan. But i was ok. They replaced it for a capachino for my wife. They ambience is trendy downtownish. I liked the roman style sketches in the wall and the rustic industrial recycled style furnitures. Basically we loved the place. We will come here often.

Food was good. Service was horrendous. First off we were a group of 3 grabbing a bite between meetings, simple enough right? Wrong, we out our names on a list to wait for a table, then people who came in after us, some in groups of more than 3 or of 3, were seated before us. So after about 20-30 min of that we get seated and the waiter comes over about 5 minutes later. She gets us drinks, one of my co-workers couldnt make up his mind so she made a second trip for drinks. Then doesnt come back for 20 minutes after saying shell be back in 2 to take our orders. Finally does come back and it takes almost an hour for the food to come out. Now were on a schedule, and were trying to be nice, at this point were forfeiting some in between time to get stuff done before the next meeting. Well as we get close to finishing scarfing down our food we ask for the check, to wait another 20 minutes... All the while other servers are getting people in and out pretty fast, about 2 groups in the time of our 1. Overall the time spent there was about 2 hours and some change. Not good. Food was good though so that was nice.

Use to really push this place as a great eating spot, and just one week ago gave it a positive review on a travel site. My how things can change since then because of very poor customer service. Came in Thursday morning, December 3, 2015 at 8:30 AM, and the music was so loud you couldnt hear yourself think. I asked the waiter to turn the music down, which he did. Now Im not the paranoid type, but the dirty looks I got from the so-called cooks in the kitchen could have killed. I waited over one half hour for an omelette order that never came. During this wait time, 2 tables of 2 customers came in and ALL got their food before mine. SCREW THAT! I got up and told the waiter to cancel the order and I told him why, i.e., 2 tables got their food that came in after I did. His response? "Im not responsible for when the food comes out of the kitchen." Maybe not friend, but their poor customer service screwed you out of a tip. Too many choices for breakfast food...Im done with this place.

Best seat in the house: at the expediters station. We walked right in at 10am on Saturday and skipped the one-hour wait by getting seats at the bar. I got the Foragers Benny with charred ramps, fiddleheads, and spiced golden raisins. My boyfriend got the fresh veggie hash. Seating was tight at the bar right by the food runner/expediters station, but it was the best place to watch the well choreographed timing of the 6-person team "dancing" in the kitchen. I usually dont order eggs Benedict but ramps and fiddlehead are super seasonal, I couldnt resist. Next time, I would sub out the greens for the home fries/hash for a textural contrast. The pork sausage patty was seasoned well, but I prefer sausage links after all. My boyfriends hash was tasty, the potatoes were cooked al dente and crispy.

My wife and I are from Seattle, WA and I was in town for a workshop. We wanted to get into downtown to eat dinner. We heard this place got great reviews and we were not disappointed. We walked into a friendly, comfortable, and clean restaurant. Our server was friendly and we talked about local beer and wines; we settled on splitting a half order of Bacon, Parm & Truffle Fries, the Grilled Chicken Breast Salad, and a Duck Confit Reuben. I would guess that the entire menu is good. We were very pleased with our dishes, but that reuben was to die for, duck is rich but they put exactly the right amount on the sandwich. We walked here from the People Mover.

You can tell this place has fresh ingredients BUT...systems and process are just important. I made my own " omlette" with bell peppers and turkey sausage and what came out was a massive Pile of bell peppers in some egg and with meat mixed on the top Not an omlette. Ratios make things edible. I like bell peppers but not mostly bell peppers in every bite. When I asked for the check the waitress didnt even ask why i didnt eat my food. Something I hate out of resturants. Learn and be better. Dont take my money without asking why I didnt eat my food. Id expect that from dennys. Actually no, dennys would probably have done me right. I will not go back

They have some unique ideas, but need some work on the execution. I do not mind paying $20 (with tip) for a duck Reuben sandwich and fries. That is a neat unusual alternative and the fries are awesome. However, for a $20 sandwich you can afford to buy some decent bread not flavorless brown styrofoam. The contents of the sandwich were awesome if a bit sparse. It might also be a good idea to put salt, pepper and condiments on the tables and bar. Service was decent but not great. Could be more attentive. Still she tried hard so I left a substantial tip. I hope I did nto send the wrong message.

Always looking for new places to eat lunch in Detroit and this really hit the spot. Dropped in as just 1 and got a seat right away at the bar. Dirty blonde tasted old or flat out of the tap and there wasnt enough heat (also too much on the sandwich) to the "spicy mayo" on the pblt. The pork belly itself was out of this world and delicious. Bartender was great and very personable. Great atmosphere and food but old beer and not spicy mayo costs Dime Store a star. One of the staff also told me that you would be taking the pork belly off the menu soon which would be a damn shame.
