HI!!!! THANKS for taking the time to read my review – it’s my first time ever writing one as I felt compelled after my experience at “La Marsa” in Brighton because I was sooooo disappointed. I consider myself a connoisseur of Mid-Eastern food, it’s my favorite of all food types. I have spent the last 20 years dining in Dearborn and various other surrounding cities in the Metro area. La Marsa in Brighton is the biggest "RIP OFF" Ive yet to experience!!!! Their prices are the highest than any restaurant I’ve been to and their portions are by far the scarcest.…….not at all worth the money! The food itself was nothing to speak of either. I ordered chicken kafta and typically at other restaurants it’s a nice oblong chicken patty about an inch thick and 5 – 6 inches long and you usually get four of them. At La Marsa’s, you get four but they are the size of a ball park hot dog cut into three~~~~ The rice was not fully cooked and the salads are ½ the size of what I’m used to as well. In my opinion they have a ***LONG*** way to go in their kitchen to ever consider themselves ‘Mid-Eastern/Mediterranean’. They are ‘wannabees’!!!!! I will never return nor will I ever recommend – instead I will discourage.

The only reason I am reviewing this place is because I have now had food poisoning twice from this place. Ive been coming here for the past year and always ordered lentil soup, not sure what has changed but the last two out of three times it has given me food poisoning. So word of advice, dont eat the lentil soup. Apparently Im not the first person this has happened to if you scroll down to other reviews someone else also complained about this. Also the service is extremely slow depending on who you get you will be waiting ten minutes to even be acknowledged once you sit down. Better yet stay away from this place.

I went with my family on Sunday night for dinner. The service was horrible & slow. Food was not cooked - chicken Tawoek. French fries were old & welted. Fatoush salad was missing dressing. Next time, I would rather drive to dearborn than getting this half axx meal. Extremely, very disappointed. No apology or discount. The owner (s) should consider firing these unfriendly servers. Pay attention to kitchen food quality. As far as I am concern, I will never go back again!!!!

My experience with my family Friday night was awful! The waiter was rude and snappy. The hostess tried pushing us out when we finished. The beverages were still full....go figure. But, to top it off are you going to believe this...the waiter followed us to our car wanting to know where his tip was?????? We werent leaving until he got his tip!!!! This was a full house of people and he was more worried instead of waiting on the next table.

Went here once and will never go back. The price was just way to much as the quality of the food was very lacking. My family and I noticed the lentil soup smelled foul or mb it was old Im not sure but it smelled bad and tasted yucky. I had bad stomach cramps and awful pains after eating here. Im very unsatisfied and will never go back. My recommendation is stay away from the lentil soup. Or better yet avoid this place all together

Went here with my parents and we got sat down and for 20 minutes no one even came up to take our drink order or food order so we decided to leave and one of the workers chased us out of the door trying to convince us to come back inside we told him no thank you than when we were about to leave the parking lot another person came out and tried to come up to our car but we left before knowing what he wanted will never come back here

They will start off with really good garlic dip and bread. We ordered chicken, with sides of rice and veggies. Served good portion. If you already ordered appetizers, then one entree should be good enough for two(depends on how much you eat ;) ) All of them were delicious, especially the sides. All of them have garlic in it, may be thats why they were flavorful. In any case, would definitely recommend trying it.

Over priced food, maybe 50% higher cost (at a minimum) than it should be. The food is actually pretty solid, but the environment feels "cold". Nothing genuine about this place, they even lie about their hours. Youll enjoy the overpriced shwerma in the cold dining room provided you arrive when they decide theyre open. Dont mind the signs on th building or the times posted on the website.

Went there with family. They had been there and loved it. Me not so much. What I got was horribly dry and had some type of funky tasting house dressing on the meat. If I dont like what I get at a restaurant why would I want to go back and try something else. I will not go back. There are way to many good places to eat to give a business my hard earned money for bad food.

Our lunch was exactly how I expected - all of us liked their lunch - food & service. We were served promptly- with all the extras- from cold water to the bread & garlic sauce- to the main dish(es). We were in a booth - to talk etc & we were Not rushed , in any way- even after the meal. Very good establishment- I fully recommend it. Thank you!!

Tasty, and pretty fresh lunch options. They have a "pick two" lunch special, and the lentil soup is always good. Wraps are tasty, entrees are great as well. Every meal gets served with fresh hot rolls and garlic, which you can ask for more of. Food and service is not usually super fast, but you can easily get in/out for lunch in 45 min or so.

We have eaten here numerous times; however after the last visit we will not be going back. Everything we ordered seemed off. Garlic spread was very oily and bitter. Koshary was poorly prepared, nothing like weve had before. Lamb chili wasnt hot. The worst of it was I was extremely sick for the next 3 days, I sure it was food poisoning.

Ive dined at this location about 5 times now. Each time I left feeling like I got a lot for my money. The physical space is clean and nicely decorated. The waitstaff is always pleasant. Food is very consistent. If you are dining with a group, try one of the combo platters. They come with a TON of food and give you lots of variety.

Great place for middle-eastern food. I have not found anything here that is not delicious. The salads are fresh and the raw juices very healthy. They offer a great buffet for a couple days each month where you can try a number of different things. The managers and staff are very courteous-I have returned many times and will continue to.

Our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. It may be kind of pricey so we reserve it for special occasions but always hits the spot. Their hummus with lamb is my wifes "death row meal". I love their garlic almond ghallaba and their pita bread with garlic butter is out of this world. We have taken family there and they all love it as well.
