Hillside Country Club is a beacon for Rehoboth, MA but its not shining as bright as it should. Everyone is amazed by the marvelous beauty outside with the newly added amenities and the newly designed interior, but being a recent employee I assure you it is not all that great. Service for both restaurant and events are mediocre to fair. Most to none of the waitstaff knows what to do because they constantly hire new ones with minimal experience in the service industry. It has not been open for a full year and they already lost 4 managers (bar manager, banquet chef, and 2 restaurant managers). This is a clear sign that something is going wrong. Food made for events is terrible and should not be sent out in the first place due to unproper seasoning, terrible presentation, lack of sanitation steps used in the kitchen when plating those meals. Needless to say the food that is made for the restaurant is exquisite and should be tried because their new chef actually knows how to cook and create amazing plates. What also is shameful are certain managers drinking while they are on the job, which is extremely unprofessional. It is truly a shame because that place has amazing potential to bring in the sales but as long as she sits in that chair, Hillside Country Club will not shine as bright as it should.

The person at the desk was a great guy, and the wait staff at the outside bar were very nice. The course looked great untill you got to the greens. A few of the greens were being airated so you would expect it would be difficult to putt. But the rest of them were uncut and unputtable. No one told us they were like that and there was no signage like you would see at a resonable course. The owner was holding an event for one of his other businesses, which I am sure he was trying to do the right thing. However he kept flying his helicopter (yes a real helicopter) over the course all day. For 18 holes, not only could we not make a good putt without the ball stopping dead after a couple feet, the chopper kept flying directly over us. The fairways were ok, nothing to brag about but the wole experience was not a good one, we will not be back!!!

We had a company outing at the Hillside Country club at the end of July, and it was perfect ! Ashley put together a great day starting with Golf, appointments at the spa, a lobster/clambake for lunch, and some corn hole tournaments under the tent in the afternoon. We were having so much fun, we ended up playing another 9 holes later in the day. John in the pro shop set us up with a tournament, which included closest to the pin, longest drive, and their own hole in one contest. The golf round ended up with an extra hole playoff, which made for just an overall great day. Thanks to Ashley and John for an awesome day, we will definitely be back!

Been here several times. Really nice place. Course-wise wish it was 18 holes but not bad for 9. Tees and fairways in good shape, although greens tend to be fast and uneven making it hard to read. As its namesake suggests, its on a hill so expect to shoot up and down slopes from the tee. As far as the place itself, the staff is super friendly, the clubhouse, pool and (especially) outdoor Tiki Bar are pretty awesome. Ive had several of the outdoor brick oven pizzas from the menu and they have been delicious (recommend the "Ninth hole" pizza). Overall, great place for a round.

The new Hillside Country Club is more like a resort than a normal country club. The course is in wonderful shape, and the new clubhouse/restaurant has great views, food and service. Last weekend I sat at the Tiki Bar and had the best pulled pork sliders I have ever had, then went to the salt water pool with the family to enjoy the day. Great job by the ownership and management to really turn this place around and make it a true family and golf destination.

Attended a baby shower. The food was delicious and served hot. The room was spacious and attractive. For a public club I found it to be very desirable. I think its worth looking into if your planning a wedding, or large to mid size function. You maybe pleasantly surprised as I was. Many other options to enjoy. Go see for yourself.

Gave two stars because Im only rating the catering. Called for a quote.. got a missed call back after I gave all proper details, I called back to a voicemail - finally got a call back a week later. Was told to expect quote on Wed... Called friday to have it promised by EOD. 3 Weeks later quote never received. Disappointed.

DJd a wedding here, staff is phenomenal, food was great. Cant say it enough, staff is all top notch, really helped everything run smoothly, even though there were some issues that popped up (like the officiant had the wrong time down). They clearly do a lot of weddings here, so theyre well versed.

The food is delicious and presented beautifully. The selection of different foods is outstanding! The ball room is decorated and always looks elegant. The staff is always pleasant and very helpful. The overall experience is a relaxing, pleasant and delicious time to spend with family and friends.

Tiki bar, clubhouse and other amenities are very nice. The pizza oven is great. The course however leaves a little something to be desired. Poor grass on and off the narrow fairways as well as the tee boxes and some very unforgiving greens make the course much more difficult than it should be.

Went to a baby shower recently and it was in the front meeting room. Beautiful view, delicious food and drink, however the acoustics of the room were horrible! Almost impossible to hear the person next to you. . .and forget hearing someone from across the table. So, so loud!!! OUCH!!!

I was recently at a wedding at Hillside Country Club. I was not at all impressed. It was very poorly run and we waited a long time for our food and refill of water. I will not be returning there any time soon. They need better management

I have only used the beach volleyball courts here, but they are in quite good shape, and the league is good fun. The facilities in the club house are open to players.
