Fish Restaurant & Wine Bar – Marlborough, MA – 4/11/2016 My server Jennifer was awesome…, Knows the menu… Makes the right suggestions… And is actually quite funny… The restaurant has an open kitchen design so you can see the staff create the food… The aroma in the restaurant it’s absolutely to die for! On aroma alone I give them a 15 out of a possible 1-10!… They bake the bread in house and serve it with herbed whipped butter… After my third time having it, I’m not fan… They do everything else very well… For starters… The Mediterranean fish soup… Medley of fresh salmon, swordfish, haddock and tuna…, root vegetables of potatoes & carrots, tomatoes, peppers, celery and rouille… absolutely mind blowing delicious! For the main this evening… A 12 ounce roasted swordfish chop served with buttermilk dressed mixed greens, parmesan truffle fries finished with house made red chimichurri sauce... The fish was cooked to perfection and remained warm throughout consumption… As far as the salad…, Just the right amount of dressing… It paired nicely with the fish and root vegetables… the fries…, best Ive ever had! Although the desert choices looked great, I exercised restraint and finish the meal with just my signature cappuccino… Which by the way was made perfectly…, a combination of rich coffee flavor and perfectly shaped head… Another great meal at Fish Restaurant & Wine Bar... I will be back! P.S. Ive been to many really great restaurants and THIS is a great restaurant!

Came here for dinner and loved it. For appetizers we had: 1. Cheese plate: 3 kinds of cheeses, grapes, and baguettes. Pretty good overall. 2. Oysters: They had 6 varieties of oysters. We had 2 kinds. Very fresh! 3. Fried razor clams: Generous portion size for an appetizer. At most places, this appetizer would be half the size. The clams and sauce were tasty. For entree, I had: 1. Swordfish Chop with fingerling potatoes. The portion was large and I was able to take half of the swordfish home for the next day. They said that this entree was a special. They should have this as a standing menu item, because it was delicious! I fully enjoyed the dinner and drinks. On Sundays they have $1 oysters. If I were to go back, I would probably go for cheap fresh tasty oysters on Sundays. If I lived in Marlboro, Id probably go to this place frequently. They also had some live jazz going on which added to the mood.

Ive been here a number of times and its been getting worse, but the last time was my last. It took an hour just to get our drinks, everything else was slow. Slow service annoys but if theres good food its worth the wait imo, unfortunately the food here was worse. Got the lobster, it was both tough and unbelievably dried out like chicken left too long on the grill. For a seafood restaurant this is not acceptable, should have sent it back but was already into the 3rd hour at our table and i just wanted out of there

Mixed review, the salmon was amazing, done just right moist, good portion, the glaze was tasty, and we both agreed we would get that again. Had the tuna, three nice sized pieces. All three were so filled with fat that I have up trying to eat it. Very disappointing, going to a fish restaurant, ordering what I would think would be a signature dish and being that poor a cut was not right. All three pieces were like that, wouldnt order that again. Wont be back anytime soon.

I stopped in for a quick dinner in the lounge with a great bar. Ambience was nice. Service was good to start and as it got busy it was okay. I had oysters from Wellfleet which were good. I also ordered the calamari which did not taste good. It just didnt taste like calamari and I couldnt eat it. A quick dinner ended up costing $58 without tip. Its a nice restaurant to have in a century Marlborough but I dont think Ill be visiting again.

Fish in Marlborough is my go to place for a suburban oyster bar. Sundays the oysters are only $1, which is a great deal. Three of us shared 32 oysters and we sampled all of the carieties available, which for this particular Sunday was 32. After the oysters I had their calm chowder and crab cakes from their appetizer menu, both of which were good. My favorite main course is wild boar ragu over homemade pasta. Will definitely go again.

Excellent food, decor, service. Brussel sprouts, asparagus as sides; the whole belly clam appetizer; the tuna and salmon entrees -- all were prepared to perfection with the perfect mix of spice and sauce. Richard, our server, was very attentive. What a great, first impressions. We will be back for sure. Great value. The culinary quality and dining experience easily were worth the price.

Top notch. Excellent raw oysters (about a dozen north Atlantic varieties to choose from). Great clam chowder (super fresh clams, seasoned perfectly, just a touch thinner than I like). Halibut special, Diver scallops, and duck breast entrees were all excellent. Lemon mascarpone mousse and chocolate panna cotta were the perfect sweet ending and the espresso was quite good as well.

This place is AWFUL ! we stopped in a few months back and the scallops and mussels were previously frozen and the lobster smelled of amonia !!! It Marlborough not the midwest, the seafood should be FRESH. Some might say I have noise what Im talking about but i worked in the seafood industry for over 6 years and this food was terrible at best

Eaten there a few times and always enjoyed everything. Tonights F&C was not good. Too watery or oily. Ate less than half and did not take left overs home. Very disappointed. The 2 stars are for tonights meal. On the average I would give Fish 3.5 stars.

Great for a night out, very nice staff. Special was great, stuffed grouper, flambe was a little incomplete, could taste the alcohol in one part of the plate, otherwise amazing dish. Just be aware parking is a bit tight in the area

We dine here often with my family, and the servers are always knowledgeable. Our food is always prepared perfectly, and the presentation is beautiful. Try the swordfish, you will be very pleased with how juicy and flavorful it is.

We went here for a nice dinner to celebrate graduation. It had great service, food and atmosphere. There was live music when we went (Saturday) which was a reasonable volume for people all over the restaurant, in my opinion.

I had the scallops (with the bacon sauce on the side). Succulent and tasty. Nice bite to the sauce they were presented on. 2nd time I had tuna. Beautiful cuts. Seared on the outside and a gorgeous red through.

Food was extremely bad and extremely expencive. Not worth the money at all. In addition I had to pay $3 per oyster instesd $1 as it advertised on the web site. It was my first and last time in this place.

Had the stuffed lobster which hadnt grown into its new shell yet. It had very little meat to it. The stuffing also needed more crab and less filler. I paid a lot and I am still hungry.
