Why would you spend all that money to buy a recipe and then mess with its successful formula? That is the question I have for the new owners of Papa Razzi in Concord. I used to regularly comment on what a consistent, quality job they do each week. My last 2 visits "under new management" have been inconsistent and lower quality. Nothing horrible, but it went from being a warm, customer friendly place to just another OK restaurant. None of the (excellent) waitstaff that we knew are there any more. They have been replaced by people taught to say "We are very sorry for...making you wait,.....the food...the service..." instead of the old "sure, we can do that for you". Oh, well, thank goodness for some new choices like Bondir in Concord center. And we will be voting with our feet.

My friend and I were there for the Boston Marathon weekend. This place was recommended by a local, so we went in not realizing it was a fancy place. We were in workout outfits and not fancy-dressed at all. They didnt seem to care at all and completely understood. The man who took our drink order did so because the waitress was busy at the moment and he helped out. We had a few questions and he was very patient and knowledgeable. When we finished, we asked two other waitresses some questions about local places to get certain items that we needed and they were also super helpful and knowledgeable. If we are in the area again, we definitely plan to go back. In addition - the food was phenomenal!

If you read the Yelp reviews you would think this place not worth your time. The truth is far different. My wife and I just came from an excellent meal there with zero complaints. To put it in perspective, we have just finished six weeks in Europe and then Maine and have been eating out constantly. With that said we both thought the Filet Balsamico was one of the tastier meals of the whole trip. Bottom line is food is well done and priced right. Also if you are there on Monday it is "Mange Monday" and all entrees are about $15.99. Such a deal! Appetizers and pizza are also discounted. Enjoy!

Far from a pizza joint. Its a nice restaurant, home made Italian food, specialty brick oven pizzas, (they even make their own fresh mozzarella), delicious variety of salads, home made pasta, (the lobster tortelloni is amazing, especially on Mangia Monday, when the more expensive items are $15.99). Everything is home made, northern Italian style. Lovely atmosphere, post and beam construction, big fireplace for when the cold weather arrives, fits with historic atmosphere of the area. Staff and owner take great pride in this restaurant.

I was very impressed that no matter how busy the wait staff was, they always managed to make time to talk to their friends and family that came in to the restaurant. It really shows a strong family connection that you just dont see everyday. No matter whether you need more water or breadsticks or if you simply have been waiting 40 minutes for the check, the friendly staff will take the time to talk...with someone else. You may wish to just get up and have the hostess ring you out.

Terrible, in a word. Made reservations - didnt matter. They took others before us. Finally got seated and ordered, but waited for what seemed like an eternity for the food. When the pizza finally arrived, it was A) cold, B) soggy, C) awful. The veal was ordinary at best. Only 1 of our dishes arrived hot. And the service was not very attentive. At these prices, Id expect better. There HAS to be better options for Italian food in this area. I will never go back here again.

None of the 5 ladies will return. BAD Sunday Brunch in Concord MA. - 2 cant drink; asked for substitute for free brunch Mimosa. Charged $4 for each OJ. Removed charge after we fussed. - 4 ordered crepe with mascrapone cheese for protein. 4 couldnt taste or see any cheese. Told its spread thin and melts. Did bring 4 containers of cheese. Came with seasonal fruit which was 2 slices of banana and i1 piece of strawberry per crepe. - 1 got a very thin and dry frittata.

Best Antipasti you could make a meal out of it with a side of plain pasta and place this Gamberi spiedo ,antipasti on top of your pasta enjoy!! (grilled white shrimp, garlic, tomatoes, olives, parsley, white wine butter sauce! and wilted spinach) ask for a little extra of this sauce on the Antipasti. PS. try this without any red sauce. To finish order the Best Margherita Pizza you will ever have!!

My family and I live right down the road, and weve always loved your restaurant. We go at least 3 or 4 times per month. Over the last couple months however, I feel like the food is not as good as its been historically. In particular, I feel like you somehow changed the recipe for the bolognese, which was always my "go-to" dish. What gives? (FYI, the new recipe is not nearly as good.)

I had some high hopes for this place after a friend told me she liked it better than another place my parents and I go. Sadly it fell extremely flat. Everyone was very nice but unfortunately that did not make up for the bad drinks and lackluster food. The mix drinks were barely tolerable and the food is not at all memorable other than it was bland and had nothing unique about it.

Horrible service by the General Manager - Tried to convince us that we could squeeze 8 people in a table for 6. Rude manner, nasty and condescending, flustered under pressure. Needs to be retrained in dealing with the public. Went next door to Asia House and had a wonderful experience. They were just as busy but welcomed us - food is actually better.

Wretched service. Apparently reservation times are only a suggestion. Booked a table for 7 PM - waited 45 minutes to get seated. Waited another 45 minutes to be served food. Was offered free bread pudding as compensation - thanks but no thanks. Go there if you have time to waste and arent interested in actually eating.

Most unpleasant experience thanks to General Manager Efrain Roman, who decided that we didnt fit the desired mold for a desirable customer. He was condescending, rude and unwilling to make a very simple accommodation. This will be the last time we spend a $ in this establishment until he has been reassigned or fired.

Called them ahead to reverse a table a big group and it was all set by the time we reached there. Everything was arranged and ready. Being a beginner to cuisine, the staff was very happy to make me understand the various dishes. Food was very delicious and we all loved it. Might go again to try other dishes as well.

A great italian menu. Very nice and comfortable place to eat. I have never waited that long for a table, small or large party. The chicken piccata is superb. The to do process is a little convoluted but worth it... I would suggest a different menu with take out pricing. Cant wait to see the recent renovations.

Very good experience here. Food was great, staff was friendly and attentive, and we were lucky enough to be sat by the fireplace, great atmosphere for two. Tons of food options, although their names were in big Italian words so it took me a little while to get through the menu lol. Good stuff!
