I stopped by here for a sandwich before a concert at the Bank of America Pavilion. I ordered a Chicken Parmesan sandwich and it wasnt bad. It was a little colder and soggier than I would have liked, probably since it wasnt normal meal hours and it had been sitting out for awhile. Their "prices" bulletin board listed a chicken parmesan sandwich as $6.25 but the cashier charged me $7 and change.... would you believe they charge you an extra dollar for PARMESAN CHEESE ON A CHICKEN PARM SANDWICH???? They did the same thing to my friend who just had grated cheese shaken onto her pasta. I thought about complaining but just said whatever and we ate quietly inside. The interior looks clean but we noticed a rodent (either a giant mouse or a small rat) scurrying along the corner of the eat-in area just under the pastries. My girl was totally freaked and grossed out so she didnt even finish her pasta. I ate the rest of my cold, overpriced chicken parm on the way over to the pavilion. Arcade Fire put on an awesome show but in the future Ill be stopping at Salvatores or Legal Test Kitchen instead... No thanks to rodents and nickle and diming me.

I was staying right next to here on vacation and this was quite a find. All the locals love this place and I know why after eating here several times. We heard a lot of people scoff at this place calling it a run down seven eleven. Its not at all. This is an awesome bodega with really nice and humorous employees. They have a decent selection of cheap wine if youre just looking for a decent low price bottle. Their breakfast is fantastic and so inexpensive. Their baked goods are delicious and the usually have fruit thats pretty fresh and low price. You never wait long and everything they have is way more delicious than youd expect from a bodega. The have seating for dining inside or outside and while they dont have quite everything you might find at a standard convenience store, they make up for it with great food.

The service is friendly, and helpful. The menu can be a little overwhelming! You choose what type of J. Pace & Son you want and then the sauce to create your perfect match. We tried the paralleled with porcine mushroom sauce, spaghetti with clams in garlic butter sauce and spaghetti with pesto and pine nut sauce. Everything was delicious! The noodles were chewy and cooked perfectly. It is a small restaurant in a plaza mall with free parking. There are about 10 seats in total. It gets packed around lunch time and there arent enough seats. Make sure you go a little early or a little later than noon.

They have more choices than youll probably need. The gnocchi and pesto is really good and their sandwiches are very good. The meat and cheese is all boars head cut to order. I like the desperado: pepper turkey, swiss, bacon bits, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. I didnt eat their meatballs but people swear by them. The staff was very accommodating for a large group order for take out. Everything was exactly right and they confirmed the order I emailed to them.

The food here never looked good but I was in the mood for a chicken salad sandwich, the kind the Sam LaGrassas makes. The disgusting slop that was plopped onto a stale roll by an ice cream scoop, was the first and ABSOLUTELY the last time I will ever eat here. Not only was the salad some ugly creamed version of a chicken salad but the taste was horrible. DO NOT EAT HERE!!

I dunno. Where I work there arent a lot of good food options. I would put J. Pace at the top 50% of the spectrum, but at the same time, I cant help but feel like Im in a cafeteria. I will say that its very Italian, and they have a little grocery store full of items that are also very italian. And the salad bar has a pretty decent selection of stuff in it.

Really big variety of Italian and American food including pastas, sandwiches, desserts, and salads. Its the either the best or the only (depending on how you look at it) place to get a hearty, quick to-go lunch in the seaport. Nothing really leaves me saying "Mamma Mia!" and wanting to go back.

I was in town for a conference at the nearby convention center. After trying a few other bakeries in the area, I stopped by here for breakfast since it was closer to my hotel. The staff was friendly, the coffee good, and the breakfast sandwiches terrific. I ended up going the next three days!

Amazing deli that I stumbled upon while searching for a quick lunch between conference calls. I ordered a hot chicken sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. Much larger than expected, but certainly delicious and filled me up! Try the pesto mayo for sure!

Best place in the area. Great prices and a big serving. Wraps, sandwiches, chips, all basic convenience items plus beer and wine. If youre near here and dont want to spend a mint for some chow stop on by. I like to grab mine to go then sit at the wharf.
