Went to try this place about a week ago and i left after 15 mins. There were multiple live bugs on the floor and what looked to be spider eggs attached to the wall next to the table. We were then greeted by a rude waitress who we seemed to annoy with our presence. We ordered sandwhiches and some drinks but after 10 mins of waiting for our drinks (obviously we understood the food could take some time, this was no issue to us), we decided to ask the waitress if our drinks were on the way. This was apparently a wrong move, she told us they were busy and "dont really have time to deal with ice tea when other tables still need their food". This was obviously shocking to us, but i understand people can get stressed (although it shouldnt be taken out on the customer). Once our drinks arrived, mine had very little ice and a long dark hair was half way in the tea and half way comeing out of the cup. Judging the condition and cleanlyness of the place i could not tell of this was standard practice or done out of spite. We decided to leave money on the table for the drinks and left. As we were leaving, the waitress confronted us and asked if we were going to be back for our food, we told her we would not and she said "figures" as she looked at my shirt then rolled her eyes. I still do not know what she meant by that but it was my Marine Corps shirt (i was active 5 years, with 2 combat deployments ). I am not sure what they have against veterans but we will not be visiting this place again.

Started out okay on the patio, and our waiter Chuck was very attentive and responsive. However, the portions of the appetizers were pathetic! At $12.95 the calamari was barely enough for one -- 10 tiny rings and 2 squidlike. At $12.95 the 2 crab cakes were 2" diameter and not much substance to determine whether they were any good. I guess we mistakenly thought the appetizers at such overpricing would be a nice starter for 4 to share. Started to rain so we requested inside which at that point got a new very inattentive wait person Steffy. She said she was taking over and then disappeared for 15 mins. That gave us enough time to decide we did not want to pay the ridiculously inflated prices of $21 upwards for a meal. Were talking chicken and salmon and you know you can buy both for a fraction of the cost and surely turn out a comparable if not better dish at home. Sorry, but the way we were ignored inside just contributed to our ambivalence regarding the pricing. I mean, who wants to pay that kind of money to be ignored? We had been previously before tourist season (in February) and had a good experience. Too bad this wasnt the case with our recent trip with out of state visitors. This local will not be returning any time soon, if ever. You cannot teach customer service -- theyve either got the desire to "help" (Chuck) or they do not (Steffy).

I went in with a friend of mine and ordered a sirloin sandwich, and as soon as it arrived, I noticed it had a vein hanging out of the side of it. It was disgusting. Then to top off the meat was very tough. At the end of the meal, our waiter brought the check and we put our cash inside and waited for change. When he returned, he said "I will be back with change." I responded saying "That would be great!" He never returned with our change and after we waited 10 minutes, I finally got up and told one of the other waitstaff that we had wanted change and that there must have been some misunderstanding. Upon his return, he was rude and sarcastic and stated "There must have been a misunderstanding, when a customer states "all set," I assume they mean it." He turned around and walked off so quickly that I could not even respond. How can anyone get "that would be great" mixed up with "all set"? My guess is that this waiter likes to pretend he hears "all set" and that most Falmouth residents, whom have plenty of money, are willing to leave their change and forget about it. Rest assured, I will never set foot in this place ever again!

Less than satisfactory. If you are not a rich Falmouth local your business is not appreciated here, our server was very snooty and we got the feeling she just wanted us to leave. The nachos were good however they come with jalapenos, scallions (very few I may add) and cheese. You can add chicken or chili for an added charge that is not listed on the menu. You cannot however add onions, peppers, tomatoes or any other veggies that normally come on an order of nachos. We ordered sautéed onions and peppers but they were put on the side when we asked for them on the nachos and the jalapenos were on the nachos when they were requested to be on the side. By adding chicken and some veggies (very small orders I may add) our $10.95 nachos were almost $20!! Also, I would not recommend the Side Bar for a game or longer visit with friends lasting more than just dinner/apps and run as there is a "cap" on the number of drinks you can have, regardless of what type of drink you order. Never heard of such a thing! Save your time & money and go elsewhere.

My favorite restaurant in Maine. Consistently excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is friendly and youll feel right at home. Theres something for everyone both on the menu and in terms of the type of dining area as well. A traditional dining room, a bar, a backroom w/ a gorgeous fireplace, tables & couches as well as a charming outdoor patio complete with a relaxing little waterfall and a playhouse for kids (which is tucked just far enough away from the tables). Exceptionally friendly staff and generous portions (especially the nacho platter which legitimately should be eligible for its own zip code). Possibly the coldest beer Ive ever had. *Note: I dont throw praise around lightly because most places simply arent very consistent. The Foreside Tavern is incredibly consistent... consistently excellent. Ive tried almost every menu item and have never had a meal Id rate less than 5 stars. I give it my highest recommendation.

Seems like all this negativity in the reviews I see is clearly FALSE and just a cheap shot at turning people away due to something completely irrelevant to this establishment...which is a shame. Ive been going to the Foreside Tavern for over 4 years and every experience is always consistently great, if not, perfect. The menu choices are awesome, and the food is great in quality and price. Ive never had dissatisfaction a single time, this place is elegant, sanitary and the service is prompt and welcoming. Im a Yarmouth resident and still travel to the Foreside Tavern in Falmouth for the constant reliability in the quality of their food and the savvy, friendly staff. To anyone reading this rant review; I highly recommend you go to this restaurant and prove me wrong if possible. Foreside tavern deserves a 5/5. Not even an argument and the residents know it.

Hello There
Last week when I was in Falmouth I stopped by this place for a drink and some grub. Needless to say I was not impressed. Took around 8-10m to get a cold beer at the bar, and the food I ordered came roughly 34m AFTER i ordered to a nearly empty place, does not take that long to make a burger and it was like leather. Also I was wearing my NRA shirt, so it probably had something to do with it, oddly enough after reading the article today about her liberal anti-gun-hate speech, now I know why I got the service I received. Nice to see how veterans who put their ass on the line are treated at your pub, you get ONE STAR from me, never repeat return, and I hope you go out of business, because you honey are on the WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY.
