Not impressed! We were there this past Saturday. I ordered the pork chop w baked potato & pinto beans-was marked as their specialty on menu. Pork chop very tough & potatoe had obviously been sitting all day. Beans tasted like just opened a can & warmed them up. Husband got chicken livers/mashed potatoes & beans. He said the mashed potatoes were good, livers fair & had the same comment about his navy beans. Shared blackberry cobbler for dessert but it was really blackberry & ice cream-we found NO crust(best part of cobbler). I dont see the hype on this place. Was VERY disappointed

This was my first time here and it delightfuly suprised me. We stopped in the middle of the afternoon and there were only a couple other tables. Our waitress was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were great, with a large portion size. I had the country fried steak and gravy with masked potatoes and fresh beats. I loved it, it was prepared properly and melted in your mouth. This restaurant is in Smithfield, which is quite a drive for me, but I will be back.

Our Best is a wonderful place to have a meal with your family. I look forward to a drive out into the country where the restaurant is located and then to be served by people who seem to genuinely appreciate my business. Personally, the best part of the meal is the pie or cobbler which always hits the spot for me. This is a personal favorite for me.

After not going there for several years, went for lunch and was disappointed. Food was cold and over cooked, very unlike the dinners I had previously. I think they are at their best when very busy. Order something that has to be cooked when you order, they cook pork chops in the morning for later serving.

I have yet to find one thing that I have tried that I didnt like. I tried fried green tomatoes for the first time ever there and am hooked on them. Their waiters are always so sweet and kind even when we bring in large groups of over 20 people from the Renaissance festival there after a long day .

A great home cooked dining experience in a quaint rural town. The staff are all very friendly and the prices are reasonable. It is about 20 minutes from the I-71 and boasts a beautiful scenic drive. TIP: you have GOT to try the fried green tomatoes... Delicious!!!

Very enjoyable. Went on a Sunday. Busy. Went with a large group. Service was pretty good for as busy as it was. Had the special. Salmon croquettes. Also had the fried green tomatoes and fried apples. Blackberry cobbler for dessert. No complaints on any thing.

It was so nostalgic. It was once a warehouse for the mill across the street. There is so much history to view plus.... Awesome food and great homemade deserts. Highly recommend. My friend and I enjoyed lunch there. A great country setting.
