Other dining experiences here were good. This past visit will be my last. Our waitress was wonderful. My dining partners enjoyed their meals. However, I drew the short straw. She brought me the wrong food item. I could understand....she thought I wanted the pork tenderloin sandwich (which was so dry I could barely eat it) and I ordered the pork medallions special. When the server delivered the food (the server being someone different than the waitress/server) I said it wasnt what I ordered by I would, agreeably, accept it. But could I get a side dish of the asparagus that was to come with the meal. She said no. Twice we asked and she angrily answered no because it was only with the schedule. I then looked at my sandwich and noticed it had tomatoes on it so I asked if she could take the top part of the bun with the tomatoes back and she wouldnt do it. I told her I needed to get it off my sandwich and plate due to my allergy. She then became quite angry (at us) and stuck the tray in my face, then angrily said she would get the asparagus. When she slammed it in front of me it was three tiny sprigs and the three of us started to laugh. It had become such a comedy. But what wasnt funny was when I paid the bill of approximately $27 I didnt think to keep the receipt and when I checked my online card statement, they had secretly added another $5 to my bill. Im sure it was for the tiny morsel of asparagus I requested. What a joke. I will never go back. Giving two stars for the kind waitress; none for the server girl and the bad food and the secret charge.

I wouldnt recommend this place to a starving Ethiopian child. I have had the sad misfortune of dining in this place more times than I care to admit. The last time we were there was for a large family function. The only room they have to accommodate a large group is in the back and appears to have been a storage room at one point. I was the first to arrive for our party and found what I thought was coffee and water already set up for our group. Come to find out it was from a party that failed to show up the day before. If only I had headed that coded missive to stay away. It only got worse from there. When we asked that the warm water and cold coffee be removed and replaced the manager was a complete ass and gave us nothing but attitude. Once our entire party had finally arrived we sat for more than 30 minutes waiting for our waitress to come take our orders as we all knew what we wanted by then. Once I finally got tired of waiting I went looking for the waitress only to come back and find her taking orders. She looked at me and passive aggressively referred to me as "The impatient one". She decided that since I was impatient she would take my order last. Which she did. Once she finally got to me I ordered the "Home made" biscuits and gravy which was far from the truth. The biscuits were hard as a rock and the gravy clearly came from a can. And of course since I was the "impatient one" I also got my food last. Overall completely horrible experience and will most certainly never go back.

Terrible lunch experience. My husband and I stopped for a late lunch on Friday. We were immediately greeted with water and menus, but it was all downhill from there. The two people serving tables (there were a few other diners who already had their food) ignored us while they sat off to the side wrapping silverware. After almost 15 minutes, another fellow came out of the kitchen and took our order. My chicken tortilla soup was inedible. Think a bowl of dark brown congealed gravy with chunks of chicken. The soup was so thick that oil floated on top of it. It obviously was something old that was reheated one time too many. My husband shared a couple bites of his burger with me. The best thing we could say about the burger was that the bun was fresh and tasty. The burger itself was a dry, tasteless grey slab of meat. Since nobody came by to check on us, I couldnt send back the soup. We waited a reasonable amount of time for the check, and finally left what we owed on the table, put on our coats, and left. I will never understand why someone would be in the restaurant business if they dont have an interest in either food or service. Dont waste your money on this place.

VERY slow Service. .not well organized for a birthday party. To tell the truth the food was NOT prepared well. Cold hot beef sandwich, chicken..one was not fresh the other not warm. My Italian sausage sandwich was the worst Ive ever had. It was on a hot dog bun, not toasted or warm. I hate to say all this. I hope it helps them to improve. The young lady waiting onus I believe tried her best..we did tip her fairly well. Sorry, well never go back.

Absolutely horrid, beyond slow service some people in the resteraunt were actually forgotten, these people have no business operating a restaurant no refills Id rate zero if stars if it was possible AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! The only possible way this place has positive reviews is the employees and management are the ones posting them. Save yourself the misery go somewhere else

Place was filthy. Adults were done eating before kids got their meals. Kids French fries were way over cooked. They were hard and brown. When we confronted waiter he responded that he was fed up with the cooks but did not offer to get new fries or to take it off the bill. Definitely will not go back or recommend. Watch similar situations at table behind us.

As the waitress brought me my drink, I witnessed the most disgusting think I have ever witnessed at a restaurant. As the waiter brought my drink, she made a very weird face, held her legs together, and pissed her pants. And to make it even worse, it leaked on my shoes. As the waitress walked away, I left. I am never going back ther again.

Went for lunch one day with coworkers and ordered the Farmers Special. This place has never disappointed and I highly recommend for a home cooked taste and atmosphere. Not to mention the pleasant music playing on the speakers at a decent volume. Thanks for reading and if it helps give a thumbs up! WHDSM

I have eaten here a few times for breakfast and also lunch. Since I am a premise rep, most of my lunches are also filled with computer work. The servers are always patient, and courteous with me - and the food is always fresh and very good. Seems to be family friendly, as well!

Took over an hour to make a childs meal and a sandwhich. The waitress never asked if we wanted refills or to appologize about the wait. Other tables that came in after us were served before us and they had larger orders. Customer survice as VERY poor. I do not recommend Cozy Cafe.

The Cozy Cafe restaurant in Johnston is great! Really good food with fair pricing. I appreciate that in a restaurant nowadays. The owner Steve even went around the restaurant chatting with us and a lot of the other guests. Very comfortable place and we left happy and full!
