Caffe Crema is the newest caffeinated edition to the Coralville strip and I was thoroughly impressed with the place. From the street, the outside is very unassuming. Upon entering however, youre greeted by an incredibly warm (my wife taught me that word as it pertains to a room) interior with a number of different seating options including a bar, some large chairs, nice table with normal or large padded chairs or a couple booths. It really facilitates what every coffee shop shoots for - places to study, relax, catch up or just chill. In addition to the aforementioned seating areas, theres a small stage, set up for live music which I was told will be starting in the near future. Seating and decor aside, the coffee here it top notch. Theyve got 4-5 different roasts available straight brewed, drip brewing and, most impressively,via the intriguing and mysterious siphon pot. Its an older way of making the brew and it comes out strong and smooth. Theyve got plenty of froofy coffee as well as a large number of tea options here. The impetus for the fifth star however comes in the fact that they serve bubble tea here. Were still not sure how it hasnt hit the college scene here yet, but this is a start and better than the attempts weve seen in the area. The baristas know their stuff and are very friendly. This place has all the makings of a great coffee joint and provides a great alternative to the Caribou and Starbucks in the area. Very on par with Tierra coffee with a little nicer digs, but a little less space. Theyve done well putting tons of outlets all over the place and making it very condusive to studying. In all, theyve got all the makings of a great spot for all your caffeine needs!

Among my favorite coffeeshops in the Iowa City area. They feature house concoctions that I really enjoy (especially the Firenzi) and, although their food menu is limited, the turkey sandwich is far better than I expected (only $6 for a sandwich + coffee). They have a few regular baristas that are knowledgeable and friendly. Since I exclusively use coffeeshops for studying, I appreciate that Caffe Crema consistently has tables available, even when busy, although the internet speed often suffers if there are more than a handful of customers.

Wonderful coffee, great quiet place to chat with friends or work. Highly recommend Caffe Crema for your low-key coffee shop needs! (But they do have live music every now and then as well, so if you also look forward to such entertainment Caffe Crema delivers again!)

Decor is almost hilariously bad, think 90s chic, but the coffee and espresso and macarons are the best around, and the staff are very professional and kind. Highly recommend if you value quality cappuccino, and the siphon coffee is great too.

Solid vibe and service. Got the bubble tea, which wasnt the best Ive had coming from Seattle, but was the best Ive had in Iowa. Good couches, good wifi. Love how they bring your drink to your table. Cute coasters too.

Great service, great drinks, and a great atmosphere. I enjoy the siphon pressed coffee while my partner is partial to the green tea latte. The environment is great for studying and meeting friends.

Extremely disappointed in the bubble tea. The bubbles were not at all chewy; they were falling apart and tasted like cardboard soaked in water. The coffee wasnt that great either for the price.
