Most noticeable about this restaurant is how clean it is; clean floors, clean windows, clean tables, ... the place even smells clean. In addition to smelling clean it also smells malty, because its a microbrewery... And a pretty good one. They also had the cleanest restroom Ive ever seen in a microbrewery-grill... No papers on the floor, no graffiti, no mess. Id come back for that reason alone. The service was great. Kudos to Jen who was friendly, attentive, and helpful with both the beer and the food menu. The food was OK. I guess if Im gonna order artichoke dish I just want to enjoy the artichokes. I was not a fan of the deep fried artichoke dish just because the deep fry overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the artichokes that needs to be gently respected in a dish. The pork ribs looked dry at first, because Im used to BBQ ribs being smothered in BBQ sauce. But in fact, they were sufficiently tender and tasty. The fries that came with the ribs were not hot, actually cold, and a bit dry and chewy... disappointing. Homemade chips would have been a better option. My friend really enjoyed the Grecian Chicken but they allowed him to substitute shrimp for chicken, which really made for a nice dish. Well be back until weve tried it all.

First time at Shoreline Brewery today. Pretty good atmosphere, lot of TV screens in the main part of the bar seating area. It was also spacious so you dont feel crammed in next to the other tables. Decor in the brewery made it feel like a cool spot to be in. As for the food, I ordered the Lamb Burger and I must admit it was one of the better burgers Ive had in some time. It was cooked perfectly and presentation was excellent. The fries were fresh cut, not frozen. Im not one to pair drinks with food so I couldnt tell you what would be good for a beer with the meal but I ordered an IPA that was a special on tap for a limited time and it was quite good. I would recommend this Shoreline and anticipate going back. While creeping on another table, I saw a fellow diner eating a fresh-made pork tenderloin sandwich. HOLY COW. It was huge and it was not something frozen, then tossed into a deep fryer. Looked pretty legit and was very impressed that he actually ate the whole thing. Good job Shoreline, keep up the good food and good brews. Your quality and presentation will encourage me to send people your way! Im a hard critic and will change my 4 to a 5 if Im just as impressed as the last time :-).

Shoreline is one of my "Go To" beer, and food, places. They have fantastic brews that are great for relaxing or enjoying with a meal. I try to get in there anytime they have a new release. Ive enjoyed their burgers many times along with some of their sandwiches. The Lamb burger is awesome and dont forget to go with the pub chips. **Update** Its been sometime since my first review. I had lunch at Shoreline this past week (Aug 2017) and felt a quick update was necessary. I still enjoy going to the brewery for lunches and quick meetings and will eat here at least once a month. The burgers are really great nearly every time and I cant recall the last time I wasnt satisfied. However, the beer is fair. Its possible Ive outgrown their beers and Im just not respecting them enough but it just doesnt hit the spot like they used to. That said, they have actually improved. There was a period a couple years back when the beers were giving some odd flavors primarily noted was a copper or metallic tatse. Since the new head brewer has taken over that issue has been resolved. I still think eating, and drinking their beers, is well worth my time and money and would continue to recommend visiting.

I will say that our waitress was very polite and nice. We were seated very quickly and my kids loved the root beer. I highly suggest Gales root beer. If you have kids they will love being able to draw and write on the table. That is where the positives end. The family dinning area was a room that was terrible hot and poorly ventilated. It took a long time to get our drinks and my wifes flight she ordered didnt arrive until after we started eating and we ordered first. When I thought our food was to come out we were told that the kids chicken fingers were out and had to change the order. The food was ok when we finally got it but it was not worth the price we paid. We had to ask for silverware and it just seemed that we were a bother in our cave they seated us in The beer was not good this time, I did buy a pint to go that I will try later but my oatmeal stout was kind of flat. Not the worst craft brew I had but definitely down at the bottom of my list. My wife didnt finish her flight, which says a lot to me about the quality that day.

Sadly, I cant even comment on the beer or food because we were so turned off by the hosts attitude that our party of 11 (including 5 kids) decided to leave instead of wait or even leave our name. We even offered to be split up into 2 or 3 groups so to not inconvenience him with having to put a large table together. Still no dice. The website says "family friendly" but that is far from the reception we got. Id understand a possible long wait from reservations if they take them, but there were visible empty tables and only one other group waiting when we walked out. Im not sure if they were genuinely busy or if our party size or the 5 kids was the bigger issue, but we did not feel as if he wanted to even try to accommodate us, at that time or anytime in the immediate future. As much as I was looking forward to trying the beer, and I had my eyes on the poutine on the food menu, Im disappointed in the reception we got so Im not sure Ill even attempt to try again by myself or with a smaller party, without kids.

We stopped in on a whim and wanted to try some of their beers. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. We ordered a 6 beer sampler and an order of onion rings to start off. The onion rings were great. Maybe the best we had ever had. My wife liked the Foggy Loggy brew, which was the lightest on the list. I ordered a sample of the other 6 beers on the list. All the beers were pretty good in their own right, but my personal favorites were the Foggy Loggy, Beltaine, and Discombobulation Celebration. We then ordered a Reuben sandwich with veggie chips and a brew burger on a pretzel roll with french fries. Both were very good and made to perfection. The service was very good and friendly. The brewery is only yards from Lake Michigan and the decor resembles an old boat house. Overall a great experience. We will definitely go again.

I had seen this place on Yelps top list of places to go in the East Village. They have a happy hour deal; for $12 you get a craft beer and 11 oysters. You get to choose from 3 types as well. The place is small and cozy, has the perfect ambiance of casual yet upscale, and the service is excellent. The staff seemed super attentive and gave good recommendations. I got the Sea Salt Fire Island Ale- deliciously balanced with a touch of salt and grapefruit flavoring. For entrees my friend got the scallops and risotto, and I opted for the squid salad. For an appetizer plate it is very generous- comes on a bed of kale and a drizzle of bbq and honey. Delicious. This is a great place for dinner with friends, seafood, beer and oysters! I will definitely come back to try other dishes and see different seafood specials!!
